This week, I was at the Let's Go Digging dig in Bury St Edmunds, in Suffolk. A town stacked in History, these fields didn't disappoint. There were Hoards, Bronze Age & Celtic discoveries....and I switched machines & caught myself a gorgeous coin!

Great hunt there Marcus. Congrats on the silver with a hammered. Get in. Great plethora of buttons there. Aren’t some of them thin enough to be a hammie. The brass bit you wondered about is part of a keg tap with the lines on a taper to go into the bung hole. Glad you had a great day out. Catch you next time. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Mate, the amount of times I've thought I've had hammered only to discover a wafer thin button is incredible!! Gotta love the buttons though, as you well know!! Marcus, another good day in the field. A wonderful hammered Edward. A good selection of bits and bobs. It never hurts to try another detector. I just got a Deus 2 to go with my other dozen or so detectors. I already found a gold coin with it so I am happy about that. Thanks for taking us along on your outing.

Had one of my hardest digging experiences ever yesterday - on a group dig but the fields were mostly underwater, and everything we dug filled with water before you could check the hole.....took me 45 minutes to hose my gear (and me) down in the garden afterwards!hehe Hope you had a good weekend mate, and thanks as always!

@@Notchedto11 Iv just put it on the settings you recommend but tweaked the iron grunts a bit louder. I don't think this beast has been updated as there's an option missing on ferrous if I remember 🤔 xx

Cheers Gene. Yes, I saw Gary's video on it - looks interesting. I run the D2 on the 0.71 so not sure how it's going to react on this and am not keen to update. I am at a weekender next weekend in a heavily Roman area, so likely to be lots of iron. I believe TEKKNA is perfect for those conditions, so plan to put it on my machine and see how it goes! THAT IS OK MATE , Which machines did you upgrade from I have owned the Nox 800 and the D2 and the simplex which was my starter yet the simplex with a small coil and right settings is a beach buster , but am drawn badly to the Manticore @@Notchedto11

Marcus, Do you use the stabilizer on manticore at all? I just got m15 and m8 coil. The 15 goes down pretty deep. I haven’t used the m8 coil yet. Good luck
