another point with the mix of english and other languages is that a lot of people in other countries can speak some kind of english nowadays. the US are just very monolingual, though lots of foreign countries are multilingual (i just wrote an essay on this trust 💀) if they didn’t speak some kind of english, they probably do not play rec room solely for the fact that it is a game created in english if you catch my drift

I am bilingual I was born in a hispanic family and had to learn spanish but at school I had to also learn english because it is the main language talked in the U.S.

I'm learning Japanese+Spanish and sometimes I'll do this to help me learn. It helps me memorize different things and even though not much is translated it still helps quite a lot! (Trying to learn 2 languages at the same time sucks btw XD)

as someone who’s first language is German, playing rec room isn’t that hard. Sure its weird seeing random English words, but it’s helped me learn English and make it my second language! Thanks to rec room and duolingo, you would think English was my first language !❤

I’m German and working on my English, but ngl some translation are a bit funky, even for me. For example recroom originals were once called “real recroom” but idk if they changed that. There are some things except the watch that are translated. I have seen people get their graduation gown box in German or other things, but that could be class related. Orientation at the end when it says welcome it should be translated too, but like I said a lot could have changed and I haven’t been there In a while so idk. 🤷 But it’s still cool nonetheless, it just gets a bit awkward if you have to explain to your friend how to turn off a certain setting while having it on a different language 😅

The language setting is NOT yet completed thats why i use English and no Spanish as my nomal language Spanish (i dont use translate i learn English from school and Duolingo)

I've never had the luxury of being bilingual, and even if I am, I'd barely understand the language. Always been english and will keep that as my main, I might learn Japanese so I can talk to Japanese people in Japan... if I win the lottery somehow!

What a coincidence you switched to the language that I'm 2nd best at speaking By the way that language was Japanese also the reason some were English is because nowadays some languages just don't have a word for something so they use the English word example in Japanese: Xbox pronounced:E~kkusubo~kkusu the (~)/tilda means to make that sound for an increased amount of time. (I study 11 laguages)

I only speak two languages the second one is not really big since you can barely find it in any game expect changing subtitles on RU-vid and it is Irish I mostly don't use that language but I use it in random games so people leave me alone I have a huge anxiety with alot of people I works sometimes but not as much I only know some of my language
