Omg, you're hilarious! I really needed to laugh today, and you achieved that and even made me smile, thank you! 😉. In addition, I love your honesty, and I really appreciate you being so straightforward. I really believe that work was worth a lot more than £50. Great job!!
Thank you so much. Glad to bring some joy around the world. I made a few crazy videos. My Aston Martin one is a bit nuts and my ford Smax part 1 and 2 are also insane lol. Thanks for watching 😊
@@epicautomotivedetailing I used to live in the UK some years ago and I still miss it, so I totally know the feeling. Let us hope we can travel again soon, even though here in the south it's boiling hot already ;) (and has been for months, lol)
Once again another informative video for those people who only think they know how to clean a car.Oh how things have changed since I cleaned cars for Ford back in 1983.Well done David. Dad
I love watching your videos, but 2 things make me anxious : 1) Slopping liquid cleaners/power washers near interior switches and 2) After pressure washing door shuts & hinges, do you re-apply hinge grease/lubricant?
Great work! Customer got a bargain!, I had my own valeting business for a while, and I made the mistake of majorly under quoting one of these. Took me 8+ hours. They only got charged £65. I swiftly learned to never give a phone quote and always see the car first 😂
I’m really enjoying the way you make your videos! The timelapses are spot on, not too much, not too little. Great info about the products you’ve used and a nice practical way to get each vehicle as good as you reasonably can and still make a decent amount of business. I especially like to see how you overcome potential problems such as pet hair, customer’s attitudes towards their car (or you!) and when the rain comes part-way through a job. Good work dude.... your videos are very inspiring!! 👍🏻
Thanks mate. That's very kind. Think videos are getting better and definitely like Sharing the reality of being a mobile valeter for sure. Appreciate all the comments and the support
Mistakes? I've made a few, and one of them was quoting £50 to clean that beast! The owner got an absolute bargain - your time, your energy and the chemicals. Thanks for entertaining us, all the best for the future.
Thanks Philip. I would of charged more but he gave me the location and let me film so I don't mind to be honest. Any other time it would of Been £80 - £100 maybe. But I actually enjoyed it.
@@epicautomotivedetailing love ur video & ur very honest & I would love to see you do a mini 😍, I’m a mini owner lol can u tell, so I can get a few tips , I’m looking forward to ur £1 shop video , keep safe & keep up good work x
Thanks mate it was a one off. In reality I charge 3 times that amount. Problem is I don't clean dirty cars anymore so for me I wanted to film it as I thought I could make a video out of it.
Everything about this video is perfect. Some channels don't even bother moving the camera. You must of spent hours filming and editing this. Its better than new Top Gear 😁
Another good vid . £50 bit expensive for us Essex people living in Suffolk lol we just drive very fast through slightly cleaner dirty puddles. My other half says if your up this way you can clean the shitroen for a bullseye. Keep up the good work.
@@epicautomotivedetailing yeah your telling me, I’ve just found your page and it’s actually enlightening to hear someone not going with all the hype, one bucket with wheel Wooly’s, pre wash, snow foam, two buckets ect, a basic mini valet depending on how dirty can take me 1-1.5 hours and now I can look to break it down to using different techniques to speed up my work
@@ricky201082 Nice one thank you. People have become so obsessed about perfection that they forget they need to make money. Im just trying to do something different to the other channels. It would be boring if we were all the same :)
That's worth a lot more than £50!!! Still, if you can compensate for the loss on it with other valets and details whilst keeping that customer happy, then great. Keep up the good work 👍 😊
Dave, I haven’t watched all your videos (yet), but wanted to let you know that I really-really enjoy and appreciate all your videos and work, also your quite unique style and useful, meticulous approach towards the things you do. Congratulations on everything, it’s very nice to see your progress! Wishing you all the very best! 👌🏻🤩👍🏻
@@epicautomotivedetailing - You will have, as everybody says “It’s a learning curve”; and it’s true. After watching others’ videos, many times, on bad, rough and tough days I feel that all of my work are just complete rubbish and I should give it up, because my stuff is just not good enough and I won’t be able to catch up and get anywhere. But we all learn constantly. Everybody started somewhere. All kind of excuses I have many times - like “I don’t have time for this beside of my job”, etc. It’s coming from my heart. Can’t help it, therefore I won’t give it up. You are making absolutely f*****kin’ brillllllllllliant content, made amazing progress in such a short period of time, and I wish I could do similar things like you. You do that what you enjoy to do and you are not letting your life getting wasted and your heart and soul getting rotten in a job what you absolutely hate - like many people out there. You’ll get there and doing fantastic things; hands down Dave! Honestly, it’s coming from my heart. 👌🏻🤩👊🏻
As I vehicle breakdown tech I personally don’t recommend using a pressure washer on door check or tailgate as you are forcing water to parts of the wiring loom entry areas,
Yes 100% agree mate. Customers still expect you to charge the same as a 5 seater car though which can be annoying so you have to be clear with pricing them
Another great video. Really appreciate the humour and all the effort you put into them. The customer got a bargain, and must have very pleased. That was a heck of a lot of work for £50.
Thanks Karl. Yes I seriously undercharged but it gave me a great video to film that was the only reason I did it. Really want to push the channel so sometimes i gotta clean a 🐖
Excellent timing, have the exact same thing coming up this week, same colour as well, just what I need with predicted high temps and sun. Will deffo be busting out the GTOne for that...
Oh poor you Jon I feel your pain. I did one of these in same colour on Friday and thankfully it rained again. I got fair few cars booked up this week and in dreading it
@@epicautomotivedetailing yeah thinking about asking for a later start get some of the heat out of the way, especially as it's on a driveway... BTW have you tried Bouncers D&D Si yet? Awesome gloss and slickness for a "QD " and a decent longevity of hydrophobic too...
You’re the first you tuber I’ve seen that actually recommends car plan, only ever hear bad things but I use there wheel cleaner on maintenance washes never had a problem.
£50, I think you done yourself there, regardless of the location. I'm just a novice but doing my Discovery Sport with 7 seats takes me about 8 hours start to finish if I'm being that picky. I'd have taken nothing less than £250 for something like that, kudos to you mate!
Cleaned one of these this week, same colour. 3hrs 40mins to clean 😱. Know what you mean though about dirty flaps and getting someone else to hold them!
Thank you David, that's kind to say. Normally it costs more but they let me film in this nice location which is good for the channel and the viewers so couldn't rest. Thank you for watching 😊
How many car valletters clean the hidden side of the waist rubber seal? I often find the flocked side against the glass can go green with algae. Peeling back the rubber lip and sliding a carwash soaked brush down there usually does the trick. A green weatherstrip is often visible inside the car.
My daily bread these......I love doing Disco’s , hate doing Range Rovers....tip, use you’re rubber dog hair brush to hold the boot floor flap up when washing out with the Lance...👍🇮🇲
Enjoy watching your videos as I’m only a weekend warrior but I have to say £50 your customer got a real bargain or she’s very attractive either way a bargain at £50. How long did it take to complete must have been 4-6 hours. Keep up the great content, all the best Steve 👍
You are the gift that keeps giving. We never know what video is coming next. You always spend that extra time on editing your videos. They are fantastic David. Please come clean my car soon! LEGEND!
50 quid yow mad lol. I’ve just bought an older bmw cabby and looking to keep it top condition brought me to your vids! Never knew there was so much to cleaning a car 😂 great vids
Great video Dave 👍 This Disco would have been a prime candidate for Garage Therapy's Zero decon shampoo. I for one would be glad to hear your opinion on it 😎
How do you filter 250 odd gallons? Hard water come out the tap pretty much everywhere where I'm from and a little reverse osmosis machine will take weeks to fill 😂😁
Hi, great job and good video. I started tonight to watch some of your videos and I really like how beginner friendly you are explaining and how much info you provide. I like cars, I like cleaning and im thinking to make an income from this, but seeing this video now I have a question in my mind ( I know you priced cheaper for this job as it was filmed) but how much normally would have cost? And how many cars you can do like this in a day as per time and tiredness? I believe that nowdays to do something like 100£ a day isn't enough to have a life
@@epicautomotivedetailing thanks for your reply, so a deep clean job, it is a day job or you can do more than a job a day? I'm 40y old so I don't expect to be the fastest person.
I was a valeter at a Land Rover dealership. Most of them were like this. I've seen Range Rover Sports no less than 2 years old absolutly abused and destoryed on the inside. Any Land Rover or Range Rover looks nice when they go by but as soon as you get inside, whole different story.
Awesome! Glad you know one of the best parts of México, here are a lot of business in car detailing and mobile car wash, what you think about the Puzzi vacuum from Karcher?
How on earth did you make a minimum wage out of this detail Dave, products/time/electric I know I would struggle get a standard on my own vehicle within 4 hours of work.? Hopefully this was for a friend/family member then make the rest through this vlog on RU-vid. I did enjoyed your video. 👏👏👏
@@epicautomotivedetailing nice to see you remember those, that have supported yourself in the past. Please don’t make a habit of it Dave, or you will have a queue around every corner every day with that great finish. 😃😃😝
Great job mate, that one looked like hard graft. it amazes me how somebody who can afford to buy and run one of these unreliable monsters, can only afford £50 to have it fully cleaned inside & out !!!
Bearing in mind you film these videos on your phone they are stunning. You need a better camera. As for your character you got a personality and that's something most channels don't have. I actually did find the video therapeutic to watch. What a location and my gosh how on earth did you do that for £50. He got a bargain. Ps love the blow torch bit very funny
Thanks for that. Yeh I use DJI osmo action and an oppo Reno phone. Bit easy but don't have a lot of money for a good camera yet and the channel is still young so maybe one day
Hi mate, I really like you way you are happy to employ TFR. Knowing you have used a range of TFR products do you have a preferred TFR you like to use and what should you look for when selecting a TFR. I ask this question because I don't see the point in using a citrus pre-wash and a snow foam if you can get the vehicle cleaner and quicker using just TFR. (A Business video on this subject would be very interesting as TFR is rarely suggested yet I think it cleans better then citrus and snow foam)
Snow foam is million times safer essentially but if you're cleaning older cars that come under more of a basic clean then tfr is fine for most of them. I go for autosmart as it's a powerhouse of a product
@@epicautomotivedetailing thanks for your guidance I need to remain flexible by the sound of things and treat each car appropriately to the level of dirt on the car. Much love an hope we’re well!!
Excellent video...! I watched it from start to finish. Love your funny bits too! 😂 What was the tyre shine you used as they looked amazing? It was not mentioned in your listing.... I have subscribed to your channel, look forward to seeing many more videos! 😎 👍🏻
@@epicautomotivedetailing thanks for the reply - it is something that I am going to start doing as I have two very dirty road / rural cars that need deep cleaning once a month or so. What TFR and spray bottle / hosey thing do you recommend?
Should put a Disclaimer on Discovery, Defender, LandCruisers £60 because the extra effort Also for the rear of the car have you ever tried the little dyson with the rotary/spinning head attachment would genuinely save you 10 mins mate the way it would pick that stuff up and not get all the debris everywhere
Yeah normally I'd never clean a car like this in a million year's but it was a mate with a great location and a great potential for a video. I'm remaking this one today funily enough
@@epicautomotivedetailing mate I meant to say also.. if you are ever detailing from your car or the water system is having a problem you can actually get a little snap on nozzle that fits on to your standard tap for giving you water to a hose/jet wash I’m sure mine was only like £12 off Amazon.. doubt you will need it but handy for the tool box if you ever need to fill up etc
That's alot of product soaked into the electrical components of the LR4. Possible electrical gremlins in the future. Still, i like the video. Well done
Hi Dave, been watching loads of your videos recently to hopefully improve my cleaning game, I'm a DIYer not professional. I've noticed you using those wooden handle brushes for the interior, where did you get them? I know it sounds daft but lots of the eBay/Amazon ones look good but are awful when they arrive. Thanks in adavnce. Adam.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yes of course that makes sense. People do try and take the piss don't they. This is just a hobby for me but you could clear up here in Hove.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yes there is. Done loads of building work there in the past. You are very good at what you do so you will never have any problems getting clients. Regards AL
Hi Dave,I do like the long video, you done a cracking job on this Land Rover Disco,to how it was, what did use on the tyres?was the next car on the video a McLaren?,that will be a valet and a nice car.
I used highstyle autosmart. Trade product. It's great for your every day jobs. Can sling a tad but it comes in 5 litres so it's pretty good. I did slap it on a bit but it was a cheapy valet. Thanks Steven for watching and commenting. The fact that people watch means so much to me as I put so many hours and work till 2am on these vids. Thank you
