When I was 12 I decided to star making mods for Minecraft and that was my first coding experience and now I'm 16 and only a few days ago I presented a c++ 3D game based of my school I made in less than a month as a school project in which you could take lessons, do tests, make your own tests, play stuff like football and basketball as P.E. and even play minigames in the computer room

Actually, it started raining because the trees were treeing and so water was watering and becoming vapor that vaporizes and turns into rain that rains

I have learned this from working on The Bracken Pack datapack. To change the weather in another dimension you have to use the command: /execute in minecraft:overworld run weather clear

Mattpat’s theory about the Endermen being transformed humans always stuck with me. An addition like a village would be cool, with higher ender men spawn rates around it, and the designs being slightly upgraded from normal villages.

The amount of end updates made by community members really makes you think about why hey haven't done it, maybe they're leaving it to mods.

This mod is great and I love having things to do in the End, but I would’ve loved to see completely new concepts on how a dimension can look. This mod uses trees, grass, pillager-like mobs and structures, and very human-inspired temples. It doesn't feel as otherworldly as it could.

Honestly, this is a perfect example of why I love the modding community, and why I'm happy I just joined in on this. Right now I'm trying to work on my own first mod(s) so I hope the community continues to be as helpful, because I know without the community, people would not get nearly as far

ANOTHER EDIT: I want to let you guys know that I’m not supporting Mojang entirely, nor am I on the community’s side either. All I ever said was that developing minecraft isn’t as easy as developing a mod for Minecraft. You my think that’s they’re the same playing field, but that’s like saying a hobby is the same thing as a job. Modders do modding because they can do it without a care in the world while Mojang is doing their thing because it’s their job, it’s how they keep their lights on, and they have their own players and community breathing down their neck. Im not saying what they’re doing is right, but I’m saying they’re as bad as people like to claim. EDIT: holy fuck, I didn’t mean to start a war. Are you guys that easy to piss off? Guys, you gotta understand that if Mojang hires a modder, nothings going to change. They have the mod developer from the aether, and he’s not speeding anything up. Also, since this mod was coded in just 7 days, it’s going to have more bugs than most minecraft features.

I'm not all that interested in minecraft modding, but have been stuck on the idea of wanting to make a game recently. I love watching devlogs but know that they're all people with backgrounds in coding and gamemaking, but this video really made me think that I can give it a try! Knowing you started with practically no knowledge aside from what you wanted, and you ended up with such an incredible mod in a week really inspires me to give game making a try! I'm sure the first few projects I work on won't be all that crazy, but just knowing you can go from no idea what you're doing to making something that looks so legit from a week of hard work makes me think I can at least do something similar (though definitely not in a week, screw that lmao)

I like endstone. I don't like the idea of calling any block ugly. I've always been of the opinion that... "There are no ugly blocks. Only ugly ways to use them." -PhonyLyzard. Any block can look good, you just need to know how to use it.

Okay, first, add a new purple liquid called "Plasma" and make a biome similar to basalt deltas but less vertical. Add plasma ponds all over the surface. Make a new jellyfish mob that swims in plasma and can be picked up with a bucket to compliment the biome. Maybe make the plasma very cold, giving the player a freezing effect after some time. Also, add another resource that is needed to make enderite, to make the ore more difficult to obtain. Maybe rare silver crystals that stick out from the ground that you need to combine with enderite.

I think that what many fail to realise is that Mojang would love to add many things to Minecraft, but is majorly held back by Microsoft, since they want to preserve the timeless gem of a game they got in their hands. You can clearly see this with the last April Fool's version, with the amount of work that went into it. Also, this might just be hearsay but there was a comment of a Mojang employee's friend, who explained what I've stated above.

Awesome video! Showing your struggles and mistakes really made this experience a lot more relatable, especially to someone familiar with coding. I also heavily appreciated the snippets of code you would display. Actually seeing some of the raw code you were working with made me really excited about how actually reachable MC modding is to the average coder. This should definitely become a series!

I love “vanilla friendly” mods, as I’m a partial purist but mostly a minimalist. So adding a single new mob on too of everything already is still mind blowing for the likes of me. I’m very curious to see where your End Update takes you, and thank you for sharing! Random thought “crashed endship”

This is neat, but... I don't like how everyone's first thought when making an End Update is to add vegetation and trees like the Nether Update. I know they have plants and stuff in Dungeons, but that's a completely different game separate from regular Minecraft, and its lore doesn't even necessarily match the base game (it also possibly takes place in the past? I dunno, Dungeon's lore is unclear). The End is should feel barren and alien, with life hanging on by a thread. Any plants should be rather sparse, and feel unnatural like the Chorus Fruit. Kitting the dimension out with a ton of colorful life just doesn't fit the vibe of the End. I want the End to be improved as much as the next guy, but I don't think copying the Nether Update is the right call. There's more ways to make terrain interesting than just adding in plants. My ideal version of an End Update would involve more rock formation themed biomes, with maybe the occasional sparse plant here and there, with the Chorus Plants being the most vegetation you'll see. I respect the effort though, your ideas are really cool I just dunno if they really fit the End (its still better than the Better End mod though).

I don't really know how to describe it in words but seeing you learn how modding works and how much of the world it opens up is just super inspiring. Things like this is why i love coding.

It’s always a good day when whimzee releases an “I made a Minecraft update in 7 days”

Add pools of liquefied dragon's breath. However, make them glowing and radioactive, with pink fumes evaporating all the time from them. They are not vicious and have a very fast flow rate, like water but are finite, like lava (they can/cannot be collected with buckets. Your choice). Dragon's breath collected in bottles can be used as a normal dragon's breath. Also, make dragon's breath be usable as fuel equivalent to probably that of coal. Any item thrown in any block of liquefied dragon's breath (except endermite armor) would explode in a 9x9x9 radius. Also make them explosive, so that any flame touching it or any liquid dragon's breath withing the explosion radius would explode with a high explosion radius. Since, radiation is a huge source of energy, consuming a consumable type of dragon's breath (name it anything you like) that can be formed in the brewing stand by using a chorus fruit in an awkward potion. Drinking it will always fill up your hunger bar and give you the effect of Dragon Tamer (or any name you like. Basically, it acts like fire resistance but for liquefied dragon's breath) for 10-15 seconds 100% of the time. It also gives you a 25% of attaining swiftness 1, a 15% chance of catching on fire and a rest% chance of not getting any extra effect. Aside from that, it has a 15% chance of teleporting you in a 9x9x1 radius around you. You can only walk in those pools in full enderite armor, similar to netherite armor in lava. Just discovered your channel and liked this video. I will be looking forward to the later end updates...

Most people are misunderstanding the source of the slow updates. It's not at all because it's difficult, or time consuming. Rather, microsoft does NOT want to add more things to the game. To them, updates are entirely for hype. To draw attention to the game. To keep people pleased. If they actually started mass-updating at high speeds, people would NOT be happy. They would yell and say the game is ruined and isn't minecraft anymore. And they wouldn't entirely be wrong. Imagine mod after mod starts getting added to the official minecraft. They have to be VERY careful that what they add does not interfere with the main game, game style, etc, while still being a good update. Update speed is not about the process of coding and adding things. It's about thinking very hard about what should be added period.

Dang, I didn't realize how good I have it in the datapack dev community. If you or anyone else in the chat needs help with datapacks, you guys have full permission to use anything from my projects. Most of the people I've met who were interested in making custom dimensions had a large degree of artistic integrity, but honestly, even if you guys directly copy/paste code I don't mind. I'm debating on taking a long break from coding anyway.

it would be sick if he added his own frozen/melting/hot/cold biomes to the end like snowy taiga and glaciers or deserts, mesas, and a lava-y place similar to the nether, but has its own "end spin" on it.
