Having played beta starting in 1.3 i have a few ideas for optimizing this. Dig the slime tunnel early while mining for your ores and find a desert for the dungeon. It’s really easy to see sub surface dungeons and they’re more common than you think

8:00 actually if you return the fireball at the ghast nowadays it deals 1000 PH (500 heart) because of the return to sender achievement. in 1.7 beta there's no return to sender achievement (added in 1.9 beta) so there is no point of killing a ghast with its fireball and dealing damage with it
