The saplings not stacking is probably something to do with invalid types of leaves, some of which eventually become jungle leaves and others that are just a weird, extra, invalid type. I'm pretty sure one of those saplings was either jungle or potentially even acacia or dark oak, so I'd hold onto those if it happens again

Yeah, he got to the first update I ever saw! I was so upset back in the day that I couldn't just punch the wool off sheep anymore. Used to struggle so much with iron back then too so shears felt like a total downgrade at the time. Those were the days...

Oh, I love the two episodes per week that you’re doing. I hope it meshes well with the youtube algorithm because I think it really fits this series, also seeing on how ahead you are in your streams. Once again it’s super enjoyable to see how you translate your progress into a youtube format and the series is a joy to watch! I hope branching out into more games will help your channel in the long run as well

Did you know when silk touch first gets added you can collect LITERALLY any block in the game. (In the snapshot) Spawners, ice blocks which can be used for water in nether, Alpha Leaves and more.

Very good video once again. I hope you know that in The Beta 1.8 pre release when endermen are added, they're able to pick up bedrock and spawners so you could use that to actually get them as an item.

Some normally unobtainable items are possible in older versions. Beta 1.9 Prelease 4 you can mine spawners with silk touch Beta 1.9 Prelease 3 you can get end portal frame with TNT. 13w38b (1.7.2 snapshot) there's chance of getting air from killing villagers. Multiple versions you could get bedrock (Like Snapshot 15w47c, there was a chance when attempting to respawn dragon) You can checkout PuffingFish HQ "Unobtained" series where he got each unobtainable block throughout the updates.

When you get to Minecraft version 1.3.1, you have to craft oak planks again, since the Wooden Slabs (Petrified Oak Slabs in 1.13 onwards) aren't the same block as the new Oak slabs (since the old ID system had Wooden Slabs as ID 44:2, and the new planks are ID 126, so the old Wooden Slabs, are technically just a reskinned Stone Slab (ID 44) (Smooth Stone Slab)).

Make sure to update to beta 1.9 prerelease 3 before going further. there is a bug that allows you to acquire the end portal frame when you die (which makes it technically acquirable and since it is a block you should make sure you get it). Edit: Welp. apparently all the streams were done weeks ago, he's already well past beta

I'm not sure if you know by now, but you never put a painting in the first chest! You made one and put it in your house, you can put it in the "air block" spot and it'll fit perfectly

thats very interesting channel you have, RU-vid recommended me this after i searched minecraft stuff. you deserved a Sub. and yes I do remember playing Beta 1.7.2 version. I remember always on corner says " unlicensed version " I do not remember but something around middle of Summer 2011 . then something around Fall at this same year went Release version. I remember using Minecraft on my Windows XP. I was 15 year old. I started playing Legit version when Minecraft Xbox 360 came out as Digital version at moment. i remember minecraft points was thing before they changed to real money currency. I played alot on Xbox 360 version.

I got recommended the first video and I’ve spent the last couple hours binging through the series! Alpha/Beta Minecraft are always really cool versions to revisit. Also at this point I’m not sure how far ahead you are, but for playing old versions of Minecraft I recommend the Betacraft launcher, it does a lot of things like fix missing sounds that were updated and making your skin work.

I kinda hope that one day they'll add an in-game system that let's you find slime chunks. As helpful as chunkbase is, it just feels counter-intuitive having to use an external tool to work with an intended game mechanic :')

Love this series so far! Beta 1.7 is super nostalgic for me, I remember buying the game when 1.5 had come out and being too confused with enchantments and brewing to really stick around after the adventure update, so that little period in between is what I always think of from old minecraft 🙂 Btw gotta remind you again that you forgot to put iron ore and gold ore in the blocks chest back in episode 1 lol
