Apologies for the not so great Quality of the video and for having to ration my storage ,I decided not to use the phone that was siezed by Brixton Police. I had to use an old iPhone 7 wile I'm waiting for my new iPhone to arrive.
@@h4ppychap the cop said "hold on a second so i can get that for you" im paraphrasing, like the cop is helping him or something, these people are deranged, he was trying to find a law to bust him up!
LOL that would be HILARIOUS - AB should actually go on a ridealong, could make for some positive public reassurance in these... difficult times for the police.
I've watched hundreds of auditing videos, and the first copper in the car has been the very first to say, "I was wrong". So nice to see and hear a humble policeman! Good on him. No big ego!
Credit to the officer in the car...he wasn't sure so he radioed in and when he realised he was wrong he backed down...none of the ego that so many officers show, so respect!
If AB went for a ride along, he'd be an "instant solicitor" - advising everyone to remain silent. And he'd be handing out tenners left, right and centre...
@@AuditingBritain Here in the US they won’t allow you to video on a ride-along. That’s why you never see it. If they allow you to, that would be a first, so do it. If not, there’s no point with the exception of doing it for the experience.
At least that cop was man enough to apologise and acted pretty professional, that strength of character is rare in our police, he deserves some respect.
Wow, I couldn't be prouder of my town, our local cops did us proud, (except the fool in the car park.) Thank you for the visit AB and maybe a ride along would be good fun to see.
There is legislation requiring them to identify and tell you they are recording,he is a employee of the government and subject to the same law as police .
Hey AB, it’s worth reading up on the GDPR rules. For example (and they don’t like this), you have a right to make a DSAR verbally, or in writing, and to any member of staff. You could have literally said ‘I’m making a data subject access request for a copy of the photo that was taken of me’, passed her a copy of your email address, and then just walk away. Under the law, that’s a perfectly valid request, and they’d have to comply ‘with no undue delay’ and certainly no later than 30 days after the request is made. They cannot insist you do it in writing or online - if they do, they’re not upholding your rights, and Article 82 gives you a right to claim compensation!
A copper 239 that admitted he was wrong, never heard that before, but if he was unsure of the legislation he shouldn't try to enforce it, and one 'staff' who is completely OTT with his attitude, who must have been told to leave you alone because he legged it sharpish and didn't 'keep of the grass'. Top marks for the ladies at the front desk, helpful, and polite, willing to go that one step further.
@@dirkbruere So unless the individual is familiar with the laws and statutes they shouldn't interpret their version until they are sure of it. Thats a bit like enforcing the incorrect laws, resulting in an arrest and checking later only to be sued for false arrest.
@@wolvoman1 Maybe, but sometimes they cannot check. For example, I regularly carry a knife. If for some reason that comes to the attention of a police offcer should be let me go if he is not sure of the precise knife laws?
@@dirkbruere If it has been brought to a police officers attention, then that officer should investigate first, depending on such findings stop you for the purpose of a search as he believes you may be carrying an offensive weapon, it is then up to you to give a valid legal reason as to why you are carrying the knife, the rest depends on that given reason.
To be fair to this cop, he apologised and admitted he was wrong after taking the time to double check. Fair play. Why do some others find that so difficult?
Hi AB...i have been watching Amagansett Press on YT for a while now...one of my favorites to watch...now you are on the favorites list too...thanks for sharing your videos!...NJ, USA
Bury St Edmunds is a lovely town, you are right it is clean and worth of seeing. I lived there for a year and my house was right next to the Greene King brewery. The old town is great and there is also the smallest pub in Britain, called The Nutshell. Ah, this brings all the memories back, thanks for that episode.
He won’t do the ride along, a big part of this hobby is to be confrontational - This hobby was funny to watch 4 or 5 years ago, now he just comes across as bell end. Just my opinion, everyone is different I suppose.
@@sillygoose7473 Yeah fair enough I suppose but he's talking about 4 or 5 years ago, so don't know why he's still watching and to throw insults at AB is out of order!!
An absolute breath of fresh air. For the first officer to check police legislation first then apologise for being in the wrong was fantastic! The ladies in the office were really helpful and very polite too. Their suggestion of a ride along though I don't think isn't a good idea AB I think you'd end up driving the chief inspector crazy reeling off every bit of legislation known to man 🤣🤣🤣.
2 things here which was a breath of fresh air: 1: The officer actually checking with a superior before trying to enforce 2: Admitting he was wrong and apologising Most of the are still dickheads when it comes to filming though let’s not forget 😑
yea i agree he was polite and no aura of egofest about him and he admitted that he was wrong so 10 out of ten for that guy because you can only learn if you admit to your self that you was wrong in the first place .
@@chillsterdlux yes but give credit due he did apologise and still tried to keeps his pride with the mis information the education program they install to become a police officer and the law they are meant to protect ..
AB...I was there yesterday and audited police station and investigation building across other side of town. I got removed by lots of officers from the car park. I met one of your fans there.
Both ladies, were very professional. A credit to the force. And fair play to the first cop, putting his hand up and admitting his error, after all, we all make mistakes.
Apart from eyebrows, everyone did the best they could. And a police officer who says sorry is almost in my 70yrs, unheard of. The difference is this officer said sorry like he meant it. Just how it should be. Oh, and the T word was not mentioned.
An officer apologising when in the wrong is the difference between a good public/police relationship. It shows that they are human too and make mistakes. Unfortunately the police are not trained to be human. They are trained to be robots, devoid of any morals or conscience. Unbeknowing to them that by doing so is only going to make replacing them with actual metal and composite robots even easier in the not too distant future. Less pensions to pay out but same oppressive results for the govt.
Think that was a pass a copper that apologise ok a grumpy staff member but the rest of them was superb 👌 yes go on a ride along AB gather as much insight as you can and share with us think that's a great idea 💡 great video I really enjoyed it 👍
The girl at the counter is slow timing you. Civilian Police staff have a staff or MAN number, they all do whatever force they work for. It will be on their identity card.
@@iainburns4493 what are you on about? I will say it again, all police civilian staff have whats called a MAN number, its differant from a shoulder number of a police officer
@@iainburns4493 we, as in, those involved in the conversation. Once again, all police civilian staff have whats called a MAN number, which is differant to a shoulder number of a regular pc, but is an identifiable number all the same
Apparently just after this video his eyebrows had an argument with said gentlemen and they have decided to go their separate ways taking with them his abba CD collection and the family dog.
A great opportunity to be chauffeured around in a squad car with a person of interest, such as the chief inspector. Or the OIC of the day. (Officer In Charge) It could be a fantastic way of bringing it to some very interesting questions, and information, to the publics point of view. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big up to the women at the front desk. Superb interaction from them both.👍 Bushy eyes needs a lesson in public relations, and his attitude too, needs addressing. ^5 AB Another brilliant Vlog. As always. PS. Credit to the officer that admitted he was in the wrong. Not very often seen a PO apologise that quick.
whenever I hear anyone say "sorry, I was wrong" they increase massively in my estimation. Fair play to that officer, checks his facts before he commits- what a nice guy.
What you on about ? Everything's open at the moment....... 🤷🏻♂️ anyhow, you can still visit even in a lockdown as it's a dictat, and not a law........... just do whatever you want, you are a free person after all........... 🙄🙄
All being well? That was a 'positive' audit... Everyone looked/ acted professional with zero power-Trip on display. Also, Bury St.Edmunds is a V nice place too work/ live ! Thanks AB
Absolutely love all the beautiful buildings and sights I will probably never get to see in person! Thank you kindly! Watching from North Carolina USA 🌻 💜 🌻
@@LemonFX normally Cities have a Cathedral. I think in Uk they promote a town to a City every few years. I remember when Brighton 'won' and became a City.
Police at their best! Being difficult and complicating a simple situation just give his name, at least his fist name. On a positive note these 2 lady cops were very helpful and pleasant
Nice. My home town. There's a big "investigation centre" further down the road. It's a dying town, so mainly the police just attend traffic breakdowns.
AB - where you started the filming is at a powerful point of ley lines. That is why the Norman's built their tower there. And why you are feeling the good vibes.
Yes but it's a pity the first officer chooses to have his pretty flowers growing up his arm. They always roll their sleeves up to reveal their tats in case we miss them.
AB you have got to do a ride along with your sence of humour it would be amazing... Just for the laugh let's sort it..you can take a packed lunch snd a fruit shoot ..and donuts for the offffiiiccccerrrrrssssss 🤣🤣🤣❤
I thought this was excellent and the first officer was outstanding, no superiority or ego, just down to earth and decent. I'd really love to see a ride along AB.
Don't you love how he says there's some sort of legislation, they aren't well educated. He did stop AB with a different attitude than after he got an answer from his boss. Good job AB
Quality video again AB! Those two ladies on the front desk are a credit to Bury St Edmunds Police unlike most who pull down the blinds to hide from the public, I hope that their manager gives them the credit that they deserve. Keep them coming please!
I want to see AB say to an over zealous jobsworth "Have the public had reason to speak to you before?" , "Have you been in trouble with the public before?" and "Are you refusing your details?"
These two women were amazing and did all they could to help. Even the police officer at the beginning admitted he was wrong and was perfectly friendly. Great job . It's a pity about the twat with the eyebrows
I'm so glad you visited my home town! I live literally around the corner from there...gutted I didn't meet you haha! Great audit, hope you enjoyed your time here!
The whole ride along thing is sketchy, every police officer in these audits never comment on other officers actions or other stations behaviour, yet 1 ridealong provides a 'true' insight in the OVERALL performance of the police? Maybe the lady with 32 years of service at Bury hasn't ever encountered much tyranny (Seems like a nice station/area) and is a little misunderstood with how people's liberties and rights are infringed upon nowadays.
@@drainbamaged she has an understanding. You can tell she is just trying to subvert ABs opinion by claiming his way of showing the police is false. But her recommended false way of showing the police is "true". She is showing her loyalty to the police, denying they ever do anything wrong, and showing contempt for people who have had a bad experience with corrupt police, all in one or two neat sentences. I was creeped out by her.
Lovely officer at beginning of vid, very polite and helpful ladies at the front desk, as for Mr Brows...he was a right ignoramus !! Another great audit..
The lady in the background of the Reception area was awesome (with her suggestion for you to go along for a ride along with Chief Inspector Andy Martin). More of her kind, in the Police 'service' would be a breath of fresh air, it's commendable, her nice attitude and obvious love for the community spirit. Well done to her!! 🎖️
