Content of Ice kacang (ABC), varies from place to place in Malaysia. It is certainly a favourite amongst Malaysians. I am a die hard fan of ABC. Slightly over a decade ago, I ate ABC at the Tanjong Aru beach in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It cost me RM 5.50 and even had a wafer biscuit as a final topping. It came with a fat straw and a similar spoon. Over here in West Malaysia, in smaller towns the current price is usually RM 3 or 4, but at tourist spots it can be above RM5.00. I have not tried both ABC's you featured but will do so when I am in Penang next, with my anti-diabetic medicine in hand.
Hi dear. You can go try eat at ns nasi kandar, hameediyah nasi kandar, Indian restaurant velloo villas, din nasi dalcha at jelutong. All this in Georgetown Penang.
Thanks for the comparison, well is all about personal preferences, some likes A, others prefer B, the price war plays their role too, there is no right or wrong answer, but given the choice when you are under the humid weather , I won't make the line waiting, I would just grab the easiest juicy Cendol and enjoy the drinks with sit of course, cheers!
I always prefer the traditional cendol compare to ABC @ Ais kacang... But you have to find the local Indian cendol, it will definitely taste different from ABC because they cook the green cendol and put it together in the coconut milk. Doesn't need to be fancy, just the green cendol, some cook red beans, sagu and corn, and mix the ice with brown sugar.... Makes me salivating...
