I think it’s important, but it has to be a balance between showing grace and keeping people accountable. It should be pulling people to Christ, not away. I think Ruslan does a good job of this. Also listening to your music has introduced me to CHH, and it’s such a great blessing! Thank you so much for your work!
I honestly think it’s very dangerous to call pastors “fake” coz who told you he’s fake? If it was God, God would also tell you to not post about it but rather pray about it. We as Christians should be lifting each other up, it’s only Christians who do this. You don’t see Muslims hating on each other. Only Christians and that is sad. Be careful before calling people fake coz you were not there when God called them.
I think they're hypocritical. They only "expose" people for a paycheck from RU-vid. According to them- It's bad to do certain things but it's totally ok to gossip. The Bible said speak bad of no man and to uplift the brethren. Instead of praying for someone, they bash. Real prophets don't spend their time gossiping on social media. If you're perfect; then cast the first stone and "call people out"... Oh but nobody is perfect except for Jesus. Only God can judge me. Only he can put me in a heaven or hell. Love you lecrae!
I think we need to have open & honest dialogue without attacking one another, but respectfully challenging & exposing harmful ideas with an open heart & mind without pride & fear. We are ALL on a continual journey towards greater understanding. We should set a better example for the "world" because our Messiah IS the DESIRE of the NATIONS! It is time for lies to be exposed & toxic dogmas to be DECONSTRUCTED so we can RECONSTRUCT the TRUE KINGDOM of THE MOST HIGH! BLESSINGS!
What are your takeaways? Anything you need to pray and reflect on? Will there be an evolving of content or will you stay as you are? Same question to Lecrae obviously
Ruslan is showing a lot of growth and I admit maybe two three years ago the content was hit or miss for me, but lately its been a lot more of a hit and its dope to see his growth as a content creator and man of God
Nah been following his content, one of the rare ones been true, he is just not playing lukewarm and stands on business as christians should, and always pulls bible verse to support his arguments while people who judge him are the same people who say "God say don't judge" and never read the full text That's not a cultural thing that's just how christians should behave.
So glad to see this conversation happen bc I tapped out of his content when it seemed too gossipy. I recently checked out content and wasnt vexed by it. Maybe he's grown, maybe I've grown. Idk. This is needed
I think he pretty much stopped covering celebrity pastors like that after speaking to Tim Ross like two years ago. The new focus is to create positive content.
I love both of your channels. I think there has to be room in the conversation for women who truly want to be married and submit but can’t find a suitable match. That’s why the cat comment hits hard.
Yeah I have subscribed and unsubscribed to him so many times so I understand what you're saying. Sometimes I feel like he's capitalizing off of popularity more than he is with leaning on Christ and then there's other times he says stuff that's authentic. It's just a real slippery slope with him
@@DTSjoshfor real, I don't agree with all his stuff, but he goes deep. He pulls out an interlinear bible on the screen to see what the bible will actually say within context on something, I don't see too many mainstream people doing that at all. It's good to see someone dig deep into the bible.
interesting take my man, personally i like ruslan but I would like to hear you issues with some of his takes (except his takes on Nf, i think those are awful)
I'm loving this type of content from lecrae. I love that he shared so much about his life in the past his ups and his downs and how he has struggled with sin and has overcome some of his past sins that he struggled with. It makes him more relatable❤❤❤
haven't finished the pod yet but I can tell you that I am loving this conversation!!! it is much needed! the lord has been renewing my mind about my need to be hyperindependent. I don't want to be no boss babe. I don't want to be a single mom, i want to be a wife!!
Men need to walk with Jesus to be shown the path toward healthy masculinity. This is the remedy to so many ills in the world. We need more God-focussed men in the world.
This was awesome, I didn't watch the Lecrae reaction by ruslan worried of negative vibes. I love when brothers can sit and chat like this. Praise God Almighty!!
Great Episode! You can tell Ruslan is very used to this by how he talks lol. Lecrae is a great Listener and dope host. Thanks for the content famo 👌 Messing with you from South Africa ✌
Regarding the relationship talk… I wish you would have included 2 Christian women in the conversation because yall missed A LOT of key points and that would have made this conversation so much more valuable. Please consider doing that 🙏🏾
Many of these arguments are not valid. For those of us who got married in our 30s, our degrees were crucial in our 20s and early 30s. The argument against this is unnecessary. Patriarchy isn’t inherently bad, but when men leading society, homes, and families aren’t godly, that’s when it becomes a problem. Ruslan often presents a one-sided perspective, lacking depth and coming across as ignorant. The perversion of male leadership in the home, due to societal shifts, also goes unaddressed. Ignoring how we got here, including feminism and independence, creates a narrow microcosm of red pill ideology (but a Christian version). More educated Christian women should be included in these discussions.
I agree. Honestly, I find it silly to even be defending patriarchy at this point. Just let individual couples figure out what works for them. If it is ordained by God, that will be where people land because Gods Will is undefeated. You shouldn’t need to bully women into it. Frankly, 99% of dudes I see harping on about this topic, I would be very sad to see around my sisters. Godly men don’t obsess on this stuff or pretend we don’t know why girls are uncomfortable with it.
Thank you for your comment. I completely agree - accuracy and education on these topics are imperative. It’s not enough to just tell men to “be providers” or criticize society for encouraging emotional expression, especially given men’s high suicide rates. Men should talk about their feelings, and stereotypes of masculinity are harmful…. To men too. If Ruslan had done more research, he’d know that. While I appreciate his work, the overgeneralizations on this topic are frustrating and irresponsible imo. I wish he’d stick to what he’s best at-ministering to men-without venturing into areas that aren’t his expertise. Many Christians, like Ruslan, forget that being married can make you out of touch with what singles face, something he’s even admitted. Married Christians often project their experiences onto others, but every couple is different. While God’s design for marriage stands, it can look different for everyone. Christians aren’t a monolith, even under the same beliefs.
Nah... he's right. How we got here is an explanation but not an excuse. God's design is best. Deviations from His way are common but are not his best. We should be striving for His best and not settling. Tight but he's right.
Women have a peak fertility window from about 13 to 34. If you blow thru your 20s and 30s, you miss that window. Feminism is precisely a major issue. Women are persuaded that the MOST important things in life are your education, CV, and career rather than relationships, home, and family.
I really wanted Lecrae to not let Ruslan get away with the single lady in the 50’s comment. It would have been wise to interject the fact that culture and society have shaped women (and men) to fall into the trap of not needing one another. Most women work because we HAVE TO. Not that we can’t have success in our own right, but let’s not pretend that we don’t have everyday real life financial responsibilities just like men. There are many factors; it’s layered and complex and his dismissive, ignorant comments negates the complexity of the matter and “blames” women. That’s not biblical manhood. We gotta stop that. Trust me, if I could stop work TODAY and have an amazing provider husband who would step in then absolutely. Not everyone subscribes to the “boss chic” mentality.
Critiquing and “calling people out” for some kind of profit is a slippery slope but it’s even made more tricky when you add Jesus and your faith to it.
I haven’t watched the full interview so I don’t want to talk too much out of context but yeah Ruslan content was hard to digest because that’s what I always despised about the Christian community being so judgmental/gossipy instead of leading with love/grace and putting themselves on a pedestal
Christian Commentary is extremely important! We need Christians giving their perspective with a biblical worldview in our culture today; Talking about the various topics people, headlines that are trending and point them to the truth. I think Ruslan does a really good job of presenting the truth with grace and style. Not to mention he’s one of the only Christian channels that makes the faith very practical for believers to grow in their faith and talents for the Glory of God. The truth is most people are getting their information these days through RU-vid, what better way than to use this platform to point people to Jesus. Thankful for you Ruslan!
My mom once said "Bless him (a neighbor), he's such a patriarch" I asked what that meant bcs I only ever heard it as an insult. She replied "Patriarch. That means he's protective, takes care of his wife, children and elderly parents financially and emotionally. On top of that he helps his neighbors." That's been my new definition of a patriarch ever since.
I have followed and prayed for Lecrae since he was doing concerts at small churches. He was my first concert. I love love love Ruslan commentary and perspective
LOVE that the 2 of you don't share your families online when you feel conviction about it. And yes - live REAL life in the place where you're planted and let people see that and live amongst it!
Thank you!! I really like ruslan when it isn't bandwagon gossip exposing. I do think he has a great channel and I think there is a time to call out sin. However sometimes it's just whatever will get clicks.
Yeah I have been real iffy about Ruslan... There's been times that I love his content and then other times I feel like he's just capitalizing off of judging others and popularity. But then I catch myself judging and I realize I'm no better lol I'm actually really looking forward to watching this right now to get an insight into his thinking❤ but FYI I'm subscribed to him because I realize he puts out a lot more good content than negative. And if anybody were to look into my past they would do the same thing because I have been judgmental, a mess, etc
The conversation I believe many wanted to have but didn't have your relationship with him to justify it. Like most things, individuals must lean into their gifts and callings. I know for sure that I don't have the passion or patience for 'correction' at this stage and age in my life. God Bless those who do.
*Read “The Seduction of Christianity” by Dave Hunt if you’re wanting to know what has happened to not only the “Church” but our nation as well. It was written in the 80’s and pretty much has mapped out what we’ve seen played out the last 40 years in society. God bless!
Rich discussions! Keep these coming! Ruslan, you are the next voice, lean into it! Lecrae, thank you for your humility, honesty, forgiving and desire to have real godly discussions. Thank you both!
I would love to see a constructive review of the live that Marcus Rogers did with Preston Perry....mainly the point of Marcus saying she still dresses "masculine", and in an interview she stated she was delivered from the gay lifestyle but still sometimes has temptations and she's able to not give in to it because of the grace of God....Marcus point was if she was truly delivered she would no longer feel the temptation.....
What alot of believers fail to realize is that. Everybody's ministry is different. Some people are called to be watchmen in the kingdom who call out kingdom corruption. Look at all the prophets in the bible. Ie Jeremiah, Ezekiel, elijah. Just to name a few. I don't care how times have changed the word of God remains the same. PERIOD! you might not have been called to call out so let's just respect the ones that have been and as believers don't make their jobs harder then it already is!!
Who’s to say that correcting HIM isn’t also a ministry then? MY discernment tells me there’s a lot of narcissism and $$ chasing in that genre. And ultimately it doesn’t help the called-out party because public humiliation will never edify.
They're hypocritical. It's bad to do certain things but it's totally ok to gossip. They only "expose" people for a paycheck from social media. Take away the money; they won't expose. Instead of praying for someone who has fallen, they choose to bash. Acting high and mighty looking their noses down on people. This isn't benefiting the kingdom- it's breaking it up. No, I don't agree with those "calling people out" channels. Nobody is perfect except for Jesus. Nobody can put you in heaven or hell.
Take your own advice. Actually re-read my comment as well. You just claimed I was "calling people out" lol???! Wow. I don't have a channel where I'm profiting off of gossip and causing division in God's kingdom. Nice try. That was hilarious.
@@missibrooke3400 You’re still bashing them. Look how you’re talking to me. You’re offended for a reason. Instead of this long post you could have just prayed for them behind the scenes. All of this was for what?
Yo shout out to @RUSLANKD For coming through and doing a great representation on what Is the problem with relationships today and how the church is dropping the ball.. I'm starting to think our conversations paid off. Lol. Just kidding. Great. job, bro. Salute to you.
I was agreeing with Ruslan until he used the word hierarchy. I disagree that there should be a hierarchy according to the instructed order of the Bible even the example of the Trinity God the father, God the son & the Holy Spirit all have different roles but are all equal at the same time. The Bible tells us that the husband & wife has roles as well but their both equal not one above the other so therefore no hierarchy !
@@RuslanKD okay I get you thanks for the clarification bro. At the same time though a lot of people not specifically saying you but a lot of people particularly men use the consequences God issued in genesis 3 as a means to leash woman like dogs instead of leading them by an example of service. As you mentioned God cursed the ground for man’s toil to be a struggle & woman are cursed with painful child birthing & it also mentions the woman will desire to control her husband but instead he will rule over or control her but those are the results of sin, that order was not the ideal order God had for marriage for anyone to be ruling over or controlling the next person their marital relationship before the fall was a peaceful equal coexistence r. We don’t see in scripture God telling Adam that he would or is suppose to rule over Eve before the fall !
If you have ANY entrepreneurial gift or other substantial gifts AND children, the children are your calling first. The daycare or the nanny are not responsible for your children because you are entrepreneurial. Caveat being you're a single parent. Modern women are being taught to put themselves and their careers first. And Christian women influencers are modeling it.
It's so frustrating that he says "If you don't want patriarchy, what's the alternative?" and the only concepts he can consider is SOMEONE having dominance and control over others. Cannot even conceive of the idea of an equal partnership. Patriarchy is a problem because it is men in power at the exclusion of women. You may think that because you listen to your wife and take her words into consideration that she is having a seat at the table, but if you have final say, what power does she actually have? She lives at your whim. It's a categorically unfair arrangement. There's nothing wrong with the man being the primary provider, but that's not what patriarchy means. Patriarchy is not the man has the only job in the house and makes the money and pays for things. If marriage is a joint union, shouldn't both people have an equal say? This is also not even getting into how a household that only needs one paycheck to provide for the household is a luxury that not everyone gets to enjoy. Many households NEED both people in the relationship to work to make ends meet. This idea of patriarchy is cute for a lot of trad people on paper but isn't realistic for a massive percentage of people in the real world, and trying to push gender norms and patriarchy in this way is basically saying that those women who are not wealthy enough to not work or to pay for a nanny are failures as women and wives and that's incredibly harmful and psychologically damaging. This patriarchy trad life is the luxury of the wealthy. If this works for you that's great, but trying to push this idea on other people is bad logic. Ruslan keeps talking about well there's this exception and this exception and this exception and this exception but it's the exception to the rule, and at what point do exceptions make the rule just wrong? "Don't let the culture indoctrinate you into this life" while he's basically pushing for his own indoctrination. It's frustrating.
It’s so weird because Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the Netherlands have implemented more equality amongst the genders and they seem to be doing okay. 😆
@@TheEliteSharingan They're also countries that have implemented more social programs and support networks that many here in America would call "socialism", but that support lets people really do what they love and enjoy because they're not working themselves to death trying to live paycheck to paycheck. A lot of what gets called "biology" is really more a factor of social engineering and how our government and society functions.
@@TheEliteSharinganI think the grass is always greener. I know a person from there and their migrant crisis is arguably worse than ours. There is also a shadow economy for migrants, specifically migrant children and forced labor and also they are dealing with some of the highest debt per capita for working people in the world because of their extremely high cost of living.
There are 100s of trad wives living on limited incomes. Our income has ranged from $12k per year through $80k over a 35-year period with 5 children. We mostly have not vacationed. I don't get my hair cut and colored, nails done, or bikini waxed. I've been to Starbucks maybe a half dozen times. We've had 1 car many times. We're not all Ballerina Farm. Anyway, patriarchy is God's idea. It's not cute. For a lot of years, I believed in submission in theory. But I'd heard this saying through Dr. Phil, "Two messes and 1 no." It took me years to realize my veto power put me in charge, basically. Veto power is an executive function like the president. The VP is not equal to the president. Someone must be in charge, fair or not. It's certainly not feminist. God isn't a feminist and He's not apologetic or insecure about it.
I’m a Christian, got saved at 15, backslid from 16-20. Came back to the faith 20+ years ago, I am in my 40’s. I say all that to show my receipts on both sides of the faith. What I don’t like about Ruslan is he blocked me because I spoke against us as Christians getting tattoos. Dude said to be unblocked I must apologize like a little kid, or like I had to beg him so I can comment on his channel, smh. He “calls people out” and yet can’t take any constructive criticism? 🤷🏽♂️ I guess that works one way? I was respectful in my approach as well. The Bible says a wise man receives instruction and is wiser because of it. We can’t get in our feelings and block people for looking out. A real brother in love will call you out James 5:19-20 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
@@ThisIsWizardsHandle agreed. I have two tats I got while backsliding. My point was would we take a can of spray paint and paint a church? We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. It was frowned upon in the OT so why try it in the NT? And we are under grace but that doesn’t mean we throw out the principles of the law. Example, staying away from some of the foods that were restricted can still benefit us today such as swine. I eat bacon, pepperoni, etc but I can see the good health benefits from abstaining from swine. A tattoo is a permanent decision. Some may argue that a tattoo could be used to glorify God, but I ask, should we limit how powerful our testimony is and the Word?
I don't agree with people who block people over free speech. It's understandable if you are getting personal and attacking someone or being a pervert, but not for having a dissenting opinion.
Correction of a fellow believer should come from the congregation that they attend, even if they're a Famous Public figure, because they most likely know them personally. It is the congregations' Leaders that would tell the congregants who not to follow or support that is a public figure and must give Biblical reasons, facts why. Before the internet and social media, this is what Church Leaders did. See 2 Timothy 3. Blessed ❤️
Sometimes, people need to talk publicly about public error. The church is whack right now, and many of the Christian celebrities are leading others stray by bad theology or example.
What i've noticed, is that there is a lot less of the body holding each other accountable, outside of our own echo chambers. We use scriptures to chastise those that would call our poor theology into question. It's good that we have those that are testing our faith and our knowledge, and i venture to guess there are far more of these channels doing so in good faith, than those doing so for profit; because the money simply isn't there. You can be damaged by poor theology, said in earnest and we need the body on that wall, to watch out for those conscious and unconscious wolves. And to wrap this point; it may not be your cup of tea. It may not be in your heart to do so, but discernment ministry if very vital to the health of the body, just as a white blood cell is to your body. And personally, i've found that those that have the most to say about this, have the biggest issues with their theology.
Piper is not a big spender, from what I can tell, he's kind of a Mr. Rogers with one outfit. I don't think Don't Waste Your Life is about living for luxuries, cruises, and the golf course. Likely it's theme is the opposite of materialism.
If a husband and wife are convicted to operate under a patriarchal system. That’s fine. But understand that system is primarily a social construct. I would be careful to anoint it as “Gods best” or the “biblical model”. Our modern context ,Paul’s context and his accommodations to the culture should be considered. When critically thinking through those ideas.
Ruslan has great content the content upsale makes it unwatchable. Interesting enough he says gen z is the most marketed to generation and they are tired. I am hoping his approach changes because like I said he has some great content
I think people don't suppose to be talking about pastors unless its a righteous judgment. God stated in the Bible to not touch my anointed. So people has to be very very careful of what they say about pastors.
I will admit I do watch sometimes.. some episodes I’ve been appreciative of, some feel super gossipy and click baity. 😬 but overall I think he’s trying to do the right thing.
I'm happy to know about your change in content, Ruslan. You were very gossipy at one time, and so I unsubscibed and stopped listening. But this is a very good conversation.
I think the commentary can be valid, but then there are those moments like.....whhhhyyyyy. Some things said can and has caused division. When that happens, a nonbeliever can feel validated as to why they're not a Christian.
I can't find any evidence supporting the statistic quoted on women preferring to be SAHMs applying to African-American women...at best it says our answers widely vary. Can someone help me solidify a culturally relevant statistic?
I never claimed African American women. I said women. 😊This is from Forbes 84% of working women told ForbesWoman and TheBump that staying home to raise children is a financial luxury they aspire to.
@@RuslanKD I am not asking about your claim, Sir. I see it is verified from Forbes, but it doesn't account for my demographic accurately. So, I am asking someone to help me find stats that apply to me. Perhaps you could assist further with that and incorporate it in your teaching?
That’s true. Can’t speak to ethnicity. I’ll look into it for you. Here is the one I actually cited: National Women’s Employment Survey (NWES) (2021) Study Overview: The NWES focused on understanding the employment intentions of women with dependent children across various states in the U.S. • Sample Size: 3,000 working women with children aged 18 and under. • Findings: Approximately 64% of surveyed women expressed a preference to stay at home if circumstances allowed, citing reasons such as childcare needs, educational opportunities for children, and reduced stress. Citation: National Women’s Employment Survey. (2021). Employment Intentions of Mothers with Dependent Children. Retrieved from NWES Report
@@RuslanKD Thanks for the consideration, my friend. I find to frequently that women in the African diaspora are lumped into these statistics when quoted in Christian settings and we have not been properly polled for any of them. And our family dynamics/gender performance norms are often vastly different. That runs the danger of being classified as un-Biblical when it's simply a different culture...but we don't know because it isn't properly explored because, respectfully, European- American Evangelical culture is considered the baseline. Help us fill in the gaps, please🥹 The statistics leave a vast number of women in the Diaspora still unseen...as well as the beautiful families we create with our men under a variety of different scenarios against the most unlikely odds🤍
