Here’s kind of an interesting Risk strategy. North America is the best continent to try and go for. You get 5 troops for occupying it, it’s easier to defend than any other continent for that amount, and you can even get South America easily without allowing any more entry points.

NA is objectively the best that’s no secret but it’s not smart to go for it everytime. Go for whichever continent you can easily and safely get.

in less player games its the best since its easier to obtain, but in a 6 player game its much easier to get australia and stack troops (assuming its random placement, if its manual then NA is better)

So holding 5/3 is 1.66 while 2/1 is 2 but North America is easier to hold like what? It is also nine provinces so getting the bonus will be hard especially since you bordering two bonuses. Australia is very well known for being the best bonus.

i remember my turn 1 Australia... i had none of the Australian lands, I had almost all of asia but india and siam. put all extra units into middle east. i went last. everyone fought over brazil and Australia then i swooped in and took australia with no issues. put remaining troops in siam and let asia go to hell and took africa

I found it really strange that you guys would all go for continents in a progressive cards game. In the early game, sure they make a difference but by the time the bonuses get to plus 40 or way over they are just worthless and make it easier to wipe you out. I feel like it would be better to just have 3-4 death stacks depending on how many you can properly afford

Love your videos. Though me personally think progressive takes away a lot of the intensity and strategy from the game. So I'd love to see more without progressive.

Same. I was thinking about getting back into risk, but if all that is being played is progressive, then I'm not interested because it quickly becomes where you can safely ignore all but card trades.
