Your mum is an intelligent woman, once you explain to her exactly how different circumstances are in Jamaica in comparison to Russia, she will understand, but you have to speak plainly to her straight away so she knows from the start. I don't know how long she is staying but for sure, she will leave in a far better condition than how she arrived, both physically and mentally. Wouldn't it be great if she felt she could spend much more time in the Caribbean sun 😊. Himalayan salt would be good for the whole family instead of the processed white salt. Give it a try. Good vlog covering a good range of subjects.
My spirit really tek Swaggy. Love how she is trying to encourage her mom. Sometimes the tables really do turn on parenting when we become adults. Errol loving on his sons warm my heart at the end. 😊
Hi Swaggy, people with diabetes can still have sweets, chocolate, or other sugary foods as long they are eaten as part of a healthful meal plan or combined with exercise. Therefore, sugar cane and other fruits are good to eat as long as they are eaten in moderation. Fruit is one of the best desserts for people with diabetes because of the natural sugars they have. Please allow her to try them in small amounts. Glad to see that she is enjoying Jamaica 😊!
Hi Swaggy, it's so good to see Leo studying Russian with your mom. Regarding her diet you could try quinoa and buckwheat, mushrooms, blackbeans and kidney beans you can flavour them with onion and garlic and fresh herbs like parsley, dill and cilantro if she is willing to try it.
Hope Swaggy is reading the responses. Her mother can eat all the Jamaican green vegetables, calaloo, pak choy, green mustard, okra, gungopeas all these can cook with fish or in a stew form Make all types of vegetarian soup, check on youtube for those information
I don't normally comment but felt like I should. I am really happy that your mom is there with you guys. Link some real Rastafarians for some ital food and ingredients; your mom will soon have a healthier weight. Praying for healing nad blessings to the family. BTW, I love how you embrace the Jamaican culture without forgetting your own. I agree to teach the kids your family's culture too. Thanks Earl for being a good Jamaican husband, father, mentor!
The baby is so cute! I love swaggy. She is like a Jamaican, she adapted so well. Swaggy, you won't be going back to Serbia at all, we have you locked in Jamaica❤
Swaggy these are good for diabete: Moringa( you can get it powder form and add it to soups, smoothies and tea) Soursop (both fruit and leaves) Lentil for soup and you can make lentil burgers with diced carrots, pumpkin, escallion and other green seasoning and cayenne pepper Use natural coconut and other nuts to make milk and you can add flaxseed and chia seed Cook pumpkin in coconut milk and add curry and green seasoning and serve with chicken or fish and bok choy Use original coconut or to flavor food Let her eat lots of avocado Roast breadfruit Chow chow
Hi Swaggy , sorry about what has happened to ur mom but u could go down to ur health centre n ask the nutritionist to make a list of jamaican foods or better yet make a meal plan for your mom's condition.. so she can know which foods are safe for her to eat here..❤❤
Absolutely LOVED ❤ this video 🤗 and Daddy coming home throwing his boy in the air and catching him several times with a backpack on! With this kind of energy and your mother being reunited with her darling daughter while teaching her handsome grand boys Russian and cooing to Mila, she'll be glowing and packing on the pounds in rasta jig time❤
Great to see you and mom Swaggy. I am so happy that she was able to visit. As someone else suggested, you could have her see or speak to a physician who specializes in Diabetes or a diabetes educator (suggesting as a health professional). Remember that a sign of high sugar levels is also weight loss so it may be worth checking it out while she is with you. Wishing you the very best.
It’s commendable the way you fit into the Jamaican culture. Please give her chicken or fish with every meal and tell her not to worry about the cholesterol, Jamaica will do her good.
A plant based diet means less acid. THE BODY NEEDS TO BE ALKALINE so her body can heal. Fish is good and lots of Flaxseed, Turmeric, Ginger to boost her Immune system
Keep encouraging your Mom Swaggy first blessing she with you and family for how ever long it will be. Baby girl speaking Russian with granma three generations of women under one roof God is good.
I laughed when you spoke about your mom saying the Jamaican Pumpkin tasting different.. Because I know exactly what she is saying. Jamaican foods grow in really good soil. I agree. Love how you are teaching your mom Jamaican culture and bout our foods and seasoning. Keep up the good work!!
Welcome Mom. Nice job Swaggy. It takes time you are doing the right thing continue to encourage and be patient with her. She is around her family with all the love she will improve daily. We are praying for her. 🙏🏽❤️
Another brilliant vlog Swaggy. So love the relationship with your mother. With your mother being in Jamaica you just know she’s going to put on a little weight, even if she is vegan.
Swaggy, give the pumpkin seeds a try, but chances are they won't work, because they are from a different zone. The environmental conditions are not the same, which will affect the growth. BTW, your curried chick peas look sooo good. 😍 I usually serve mine on rice 🍚, but a wrap is such a good idea. Also, it is beautiful to see Mila and grandma conversing. The chemistry is so good between them.
Hi swaggy and beautiful family. Yes it’s such a blessing your mum is in Jamaica with you and helping. You are amazing and just do what you can to continue to find alternatives for mummy to eat and drink, she is in one of the best countries for natural processes. Love and blessings ❤
Swaggy its not easy to stand firm on the rules and traditions you've created for your home when a parent is around, because they always "know better", but you're managing very well ❤ Love your calm attitude and how you keep it together.
Swaggy your love and concerns for your Mom is immeasurable 💕 She will adjust to the cultural changes gradually. Where meals are concerned, I’m like her. I have mainly plant based foods. Cannot afford fully organic but I’m coping. Let her have small portions more often. Some supermarkets or Health Food Stores have a variety of foods she may enjoy. Also, peas and beans, do a medley with them. I don’t have meat (by choice) and I’m fine with my slim frame. I have supplements, don’t know if she is able to. Love❤ Errol I wish all boys in Jamaica have a dad like you 💯👊🏽
Give her Ital food , Soy patties, Jamaica has lots of ital and vegetarian food (natural food) most rastafarian eats like her, but really good tasting food .
Swaggy you are a very wise young lady. Of course everyone likes a gift, shows they are thought about too. Continue to encourage Mum regarding her diet. Take her to the Doctor to get an assessment / health check and work from there, get a measurement of her sugar level, good luck to you all.
I’m so happy for your mom she finally made it Jamaica ! Probably a trip of her lifetime !! Your mother’s presence in the home will give blessings🙌🏽 would love to see a vid of you teaching your mom to say English/Jamaican words 😅that’ll be fun 🤩 besides all that mila is such a little darling so precious!! Growing lovely ! God bless 🇹🇹🏴✨
I’m sure mom will adapt to Jamaica culture, especially the food, gradually introduce more varieties in moderation, she’ll be ok.The boys seems happy to have their grandmother, especially Mila having a whole conversation with her 😁.Blessings to all
Swaggy this your Jamaican Babushka ... I'm so happy your mom is with you...I hope I run into you...fatten her up with good JA food and praying..hope she learns some English while she's visiting ...I agree with Errol about Santa...my grandson says Santa is a fake...LOL.. I love you guys...❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 when you've not been eating like her you have to gradually take time...her stomach is small..
Hello Swaggy! The Chickpea is a great protein but some brown rice and or bulgar is good to have with the chickpeas. Also lentils with a little bit of cumin for flavor garlic onion is also delicious. Just an fyi. If you can get your mom glucerna is a good diabetic drink, it helps with the blood sugar. Dinner looks yummy but she needs to eat more. Healthy soups like vegetables and fish soups. Blessings always. Love to see family dynamic and baby Mila.
good morning its a good thing to have your mom with you you need the help and your husband is a good he went and got her from Russian like your family and God bless you
It's good to see you back again, nice of your mum to come and help you out. Having a mom is a blessing ,I lost mine 38 years ago and misses her to this day.
Hi swaggy try your mom with a slice of sweet potato even green banana yam. Your mom is lovely and happy to see you errol and her grand children she will be fine.
Love seeing the family, love the videos. I hope you are helping your mom try to gain some weight. Try Ensure plus or Glucerna milkshake drinks, that’s what my mom is using to try and help her gain some weight I believe. It is important that she tries everything she can to increase her caloric intake with nutrient sufficient foods and drinks. God bless you girl and your family ❤
Hi Swaggy, chickpeas are high in protein so very good for her. She can have some complex carbohydrates such as sweet potato, dasheen, coco yams, dasheen, renta yams. Lean cuts of meat, non fatty chicken is good. She ate really healthy and nice. That was enough protein. Maybe a small piece of sweet potato would be good. She soon okay don't worry. Quinoa is a high source of protein and you can cook it with peas like rice and peas. Take care ❤
Wow last time I saw your mom when you and your son went to visit her it’s like looking at a totally different person. I’m glad she is in a different environment and with you guys. God is good she will do just fine there. God bless
Hello Swaggy, it's so lovely that your mother is spending time in Jamaica with you and the family. I hope she enjoys her time there and experiences some of the healthy foods, fruits, vegetables and lots of sunshine. Love ❤ and greetings from the UK.
Oh😂 look at baby Mila 👏🏿🙏🏼❤! Longtime I don't see you guys! Swaggy and Errol, how are you guys doing? Hope the kids are doing great 👍 🙏. Welcome mama Swaggy to the Island 🏝. Good change for your mom. She will love and enjoy our Island Jamaica 🇯🇲.
Nuff respect for you and mommy sharing so much personal details, it is not easy. We are praying and sending good vibes to mommy, bless her and your entire family. I hope that others are educated as well as humbled from your mommy’s journey.
Well done Swaggy taking care of your mum and understanding her condition, l be praying for that things will get better, so lovely for your mum to fly all that way to be with her grandchildren, daughter and son in law ❤
Swaggy, keep encouraging your mom to eat. Hopefully she will put on some weight while she's with your family. I also have some health conditions; it happens when you get older plus hereditary but I take pills for mine. The pills help, they really do. Plus i go to the gym to work out. Its fantastic that your mom is working with the boys with their Russian Studies. Mila is growing fast. You can twll she's a happy baby. She's got Danny's face. 😅
You did well in pressurizing the chick peas. It’s an excellent alternative to meat. By the way it is very versatile. You can even make burgers from it. You can make a version of tuna fish with it as well. It’s called chuna salad. You put the mayonnaise as well ( if you can get the vegan mayonnaise just as well) and the celery, onion, etc. just the same way you make tuna salad only you’re substituting the chick peas for the tuna fish. Trust me it’s delicious. Don’t put it in a food processor otherwise it will be mushy. Also you can make humus with it. Now is when you put cooked chicken peas in the blender with ( juice of 1 1/2 lemon, 2 cloves garlic, about two or so spoons of tahini (which is sesame seed), salt to taste and blend to desired consistency. You can use that as a spread on your salads, bread, carrots etc as snacks and that’s healthy for her and your family as well. She will put on some weight over time. She seems to eat pretty healthy and with things like coconut water to hydrate and other new foods she will be fine especially getting that sunshine. Don’t forget diabetes can also make you lose weight, but by the same token you can bring it under control. Neem tea is good as well as Aidan fruit (otherwise known as Prekase). It is a an African fruit used in their dishes pleasant taste, but can be made into a tea. You have to order it from Amazon. I used it and my A1C has been within normal limits since the time I started last year 5.6. And I don’t use it regularly like that. Just sharing what worked for me when I was told I was pre diabetic and refused to accept that. I haven’t used neem, but it is also good. Along with fresh fruits and vegetables especially the vegetables you can’t go wrong.
Hi Swaggy, this was a very special. I love it. Love the chemistry between Mila & your mom. See a professional dietitian doctor. She will get well. Jamaica will do her good. ❤🤗🇯🇲
Love this vlog and the effort you put into ensuring that everyone is happy. Jamaicas is the best place for your mom to explore and incorporate new ital foods into her diet. Link up with some Rastafarians who can give you great ideas and share insights on natural foods your mom can eat that won’t affect her health. Blessings to you and family and have a prosperous new year
