Star Citizen is going to get a massive update pretty soon so before that happens I'm trying to soak in all the fun Star Citizen combat I can before the drastic changes. Now it wouldnt be an olli43 star citizen bounty hunt video without the inferno so here it is! Oh and if you didn't know, you can equip this beast of a ship with size 5 torps, yes you read that right.

It doesn't really matter what you do in Star Citizens, it's always entertaining somehow. You can feel your enthusiasm and joy in the game and it is contagious. When I watch a video of you I immediately feel better and have a grin on my face. Thanks for that, keep it up!

Great video Oli. I can confirm that the size five missiles seam to be bugged in this patch which is sad, but its a great build when it works I tend to try and drop the shields with the gun then fly away in uncoupled flip round and fire both missiles together from about 3000 on the way back in.For big ships with the shields down its a lot more effective

I'm using the S5 Reapers for a while now in the Inferno. Fire both of them at a Hammerhead and they will lose shields and have a lot of damage. The Rhino's on the Hammerhead have a max reach off 1540 meters and your Gatling has 2800 meters. Stay more than 1600 meter from it and they can't even hit you :) You need 3 full loads of ammo and missiles from the Inferno to delete the Idris.

I did not know you could actually swap the missile racks on the Ares. I have the Ion (currently my fighter of choice) and I need to try that. I should also try getting my hands on the Inferno sometime too and just try seeing the difference.

I friggin' love Star Citizen. It's legitimately fulfilling what I thought ship to ship space combat was in my mind when I played stuff like Independence War(with it's glorious physics of drift and momentum) back in the nineties but with ridiculous fidelity. So satisfying. The Inferno is the most fun daily flyer in the game right now, hands down.

Always accept the mission "A call to arms" every time you log into the game. It give you free money each time you kill a bad NPC.

Had the same thing happen but for me I left restocked and came back but the Idris became bugged that outside it was fully working but inside you can the destroyed texture

I'll have to use mine more; I went the other way. Got the ion and changed the 2x 543 racks for 2x 582 racks (so 16 s2 missiles). Also...so much loot that you can't take advantage of...shame.

ERTs where my most favorite missions. Especially when they had full cargo holds of drugs. Now that they are nerfed not as much. I think I made over 500 mil on ERTs.

You can swap out the two missile racks to 16 s2 rattlers, which gives high damage (if they all hit), but there’s no way you can solo a Crit mission with an Inferno before the Idris kills the ships your supposed to protect. I’ve soloed Idris in previous patches with my Retaliator and Corsair, but in the current patch the Idris has had a nerf, and can take three times more damage.

I wouldn't call it a nerf. I would say it is more realistic that something like an Idris is hard to kill for ANY single ship. These ships are meant to be VERY precious and don't grow on trees...Ah just use your insurance and you'll have a new is no time. How long would it take a build one? It's not like there are shipyards full of brand-new shiny Idris'.

You didn't even have to use any missiles or a secondary weapon to take out those ships you used a cannon almost the entire time!!! Is it mostly like that with you when you when you play? Or are you using a really powerful multicannon weapon?

An average pilot in a Gladius or Arrow (2 of the cheapest ships in the game ) should make mincemeat of an Inferno so yeah, you're right, it's definitely not pay to win.

More tech coming that will allow the ability to disable your target. And this tiny ship isn't designed with the idea of running alone against big ships.
