This is live but very controlled and professionally produced. Like a live studio recording. Big ups to the sound people. I hear you all. Interesting voice. She has that "goat's bleat" or "Trillo caprino" trill thing which is kinda weird because her mother was an opera singer and they're pretty hard up on a natural vibrato. Maybe she rebelled lol, IDK. That said, there are great singers who use this technique, Stevie Nicks comes to mind. In other words it really works for LP. Apparently LP has written songs for Backstreet Boys, Heidi Montag, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Chiddy Bang, Rita Ora, Cher, Andee, Nick Fradini, The Kooks, Celine Dion, Spencer Ludwig, Noah Cyrus and more. So Laura Pergolizzi is a prolific songwriter. Good song.

Thank you for that. I know this band - they have few good songs but I never really heard them live. And now I can honestly say that they are talented. And vocalist is really great - she performs live like at studio which is amazing. I can appreciate them now more. Can't wait for future reacts and maybe I can learn about new bands too.

Yes biscute I've heard this many times in singing contests, you know like the voice and other shows?, I've heard contestants version of this song but like you I'm surprised by this original version from the singers own mouth!, I'm very surprised and have to admit I haven't heard this original version before on the radio!😮, considering this song is been around for many years i feel like I've been living under a rock 😅

Read a story from one guy who said before LP got famous she (at least one) sang in a pub where this guy was out with his friends and described that night being magical. Later he heard her on radio and was like "Wait, I recognize this voice". Idk how real is it, but its a nice story to share about LP

LP (Laura Pergolizzi) is very well known by the artist. They wrote songs for Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Cher and several others. Since this song and Halo she has her own voice in public on a international stage. Her charisma has a bit Janis Joplin, Zeppelin, 70s vibe

Yes, she is a vocal athlete. Her style is…I think of it as “if Bob Dylon had a love child with a Spaghetti Western”. She’s also extremely prolific in her writing. This song, which she wrote, originally blew up in 2011, but was shelved by the record company after a month because music stations in America didn’t want to play her, most likely because she doesn’t fit the American mold for female artists.
