In this video, I explore an abandoned mine in the desert. It's an incredible location and I couldn't believe my eyes when I found it. I'm sharing the video so you can see for yourself what an amazing place this is.
If you're looking for a unique travel experience, then you need to watch this video! This abandoned mine is an amazing place to visit and I'm sure you'll be in awe when you see it. I was not expecting to find ore bins or tunnels as this site.
If you would like to help out on my next adventure please visit / deserttrails

As a Retired Lode Owner / Operator I really enjoy these videos but Speaking of Safety where's you exploring pal? Underground exploring alone is not Safe and in fact could be Fatal and speaking of Fatal, Hantavirus from repeated expose to Rodent Droppings and Urine can be Fatal or just cause a hellish lifetime of Chronic Lung Disease, a simple N95 Face Mask can help Prevent Exposure to Hantavirus and Toxic Mine Dust too. To avoid Deadly Radon Gas avoid Dead-end Low Spots, Sumps and Shaft Bottoms. Be Safe.

I wonder, with millions of sq miles out there , what is it thats on the surface that makes those old time miners choose where to dig? No metal detectors back then
@rogerfurneaux1529
@rogerfurneaux1529 19 дней назад
I have always wondered about this myself: just how DID they know where to start digging? And why start at the tops of hills? In Cornwall the ore gets more concentrated the deeper it is. Which caused many mines to fail, the cost of pumping out the water became too expensive (no coal in Cornwall!) together with the falling price of copper and tin (no gold here!) And once underground, were they following veins of quartz with gold in: the tunnels/adits always meander?

There's a mine shaft out by ceder fort and some friends of mine were all drunk four wheeling in the Willie's jeep and they wheeled up the mountain drove through a chain link fence then drove straight down a 40 foot mine shaft and they were stuck down there all night, lucky for them the next day someone on a motorcycle saw there tracks and the fence down and discovered them, well as far as i know that Willie's jeep is still stuck in there totally wedged in there, that will teach them not to drink n four wheel

Sign on Door - “Toxic Fumes”- and he wafts straight past it. You can walk into a death trap very very easily. The toxic fumes sit at about ankle height. You walk in, those fumes start to rise behind you…at a walking speed, a person can be 50feet in before they start to see “Specks” or “Flashes” affecting their eyesight - as well as breathing issues. By the time a person turns to go back out, they are walking into what is now toxic air from floor to ceiling. Unless they were able to hold their breath - they go unconscious rapidly - and lights out. We use to carry heavy duty masks - Just in case.

@callmeBe
@callmeBe Год назад
@@reason43poole37 This was primarily gold and silver. Depending upon how the metal deposits are laid down, usually both metals are found together. They are atomically close, so that stands to reason. From the coloring of the materials here (reds are usually oxidized iron, and a few yellows--sulfur, and I saw a few dull blues/greens (copper sulfide) you can tell that all of this material was laid down over millennia; the materials being carried (melted) along by exceptionally hot water towards the surface by very deep hydro pressure. I do have a geology related mining channel, where I am not interested in artifacts, and discuss at length how to mine for such lode deposits. If you hunt around, there are a number of You-tube channels dedicated to mining and geology. But this channel is a good one as a very general introduction to the whole idea.
