You could’ve made a killing in all the thrift shops with Tina bargaining and translating. Your best find in Italy was Tina. I had a beautiful pair of Farragamo blue and white leather sandals. Loved them so much.
Oh Jeffrey,What a flea market! Love the jewelry you bought. Tina was lovely and so sweet haggling for you. Rome looked so fun, and all those memories you have now. Thanks for sharing with us.
I’m drooling! I’ve been a jewelry designer for 25 years and I use that EXACT type of vintage components in my work. AND I live in Gainesville…..just up the road from you. Wow! Now I want to go to Florence.
Awe, bet the little dog made you miss Stella! Beautiful jewelry and buttons. The lady at the end had some fantastic sketches. I would've had to get the full page landscape of homes!
I always thought prices in Europe would be so astronomical, but it’s not true at all. I was so fascinated with that button and little what nots booth, just so delightful. I could spend all day just going through all the little pieces. ✌🏼❤️
What a fun video! Adored Tina. Nice to see Laura Caldwell. She is a other one of my favorites. Hoping maybe I'll run into her when I go to Portland this week! Hope you continue to have a great time with more awesome finds!😊
Very cool. How fun would it be to decorate your whole house with all this art. 🌞🌞 You got great pieces. It must have been so hard not to buy everything.
What a great video! One of my favorites ever! Tina was such a doll. I think she really wanted you to visit her home ☺️. I was surprised you didn't know of Ferragamo (maybe because I'm a huge fan of the brand).
Jeffrey! Buttons are amazing!! I have sold antique and Edwardian buttons for $50 each, and paid .50 cents to $1.00!! There must be some beautiful buttons in Italy because of all the high end tailors and Couture fashion designers!! Wow!! I found all the buttons I have in America, and I have some very striking, large buttons that look like a brooch! I would be shopping in the button area all day! Would be awesome for you as you shop to learn a few words in Italian! Hello, Goodbye, Thank you, how much, etc. Just a few words. When I traveled to France I learned a few basic words!!
Loved Tina! I will watch for her name now. She said she comments all the time. She was so happy to see you Jeffrey! I thought she worked at that store, but she didn't did she?
What a lovely lady! So helpful! Buttons for Ferragamo and Gucci, that's precious. It's true that things like that are made by local craftsman and the price, before it gets attached to the design piece, must be significantly lower..
I’d love to visit these vintage shops on my visit to Florence this week. Does this flea market have a specific name that’ll make it easy for me to find?
