Dude! You ain't as young as you usta was.... I'm 65 and I usta drive like I was bulletproof, until my buddy let me ride his Honda 600... I lost control. I got my ass handed to me. I'm not trying to be critical but that thing was outta control from the wheelie on. On the return sprint you're lucky , the bike has you hanging on for life halfway through the field. Opposite brake or not.... Glad you didn't get the hospital ride. Enjoy your show
You did a good job of laying it down when you realized you were going to crash. My reflexes are too slow these days to try that. I always wanted a Bultaco. Hope you didn’t hurt it.
I was once told that to feel alive you should do something that scares you once every day, watching you head for that fence was today’s, thanks Dave, thank god you’re alright, that could have been so much worse 👍
Dave, I feel your pain. I did virtually the same thing on a sprint that I had. I broke the front brake lever when we were on the trails and as we were coming up to the road I hit the rear brake which is the gear shifter. which on the 350 sprint up, shifts the transmission as you probably know and it was scary after that and quite costly I my add a veiled off that machine like it was on fire. lol I hope you’re OK
What happened? I forgot that it brakes on the other side ...and forgot to close the throttle, downshift, grab the front brake or simply change direction to avoid hitting the fence. Wow, Just Wow!
I liked when he asked if you were alright..and you said YEA in octave much higher than your normal voice. 😂 Just glad your ok. Yea that Pursang rips. Owned one myself. 👍
I would rather eat worms than ride a Chinese motorcycle. Nice Bultaco 👍 Jim Pomeroy and Bailey special. Stretch out a lot before riding prevents injuries.
That could of been bad, real bad, glad your ok. done the same thing in a race car one time, they reversed the brake and clutch pedal, went into the corner and pushed the clutch in, lol, I found the brake in a hurry.
Dave it is a real challenge for me to switch bikes . I get use to what my KDX is going to do . A few weeks ago my clevis pin fell out of my rear break lever and i crashed down a steep hill repeatedly to get back to my truck .smiles ,Glad your OK.
I wonder if one of those would be even more difficult to ride if you were on a closed course with turns, ruts, roots, rocks, dust, mud, roost, elevation changes, jumps, drop-offs, more and 20-30 other bikes. Asking for a friend.
I had a piston port silver CR250 at one time. I was wondering how much of a monster a 360 would be. 😂 A CR250 with an extra 160cc of explosive, peaky power.
250 +160 ----------- 410 ...but, I'd gladly let you take a spin on one of my 1970s 360cc, 400cc or 500cc 2-strokes. They've got more 'Oooomph' than the 250s and it's even more important to remember where the brakes are!
Another great video, And yes you're smart and to funny sometimes, I swear I have used the same words at the end of the video,! I wasn't gonna ask what really happened , But what really happened, The bike sounded really good,
Wrong tank swingarm and forks for 1976 Bultaco Pursang 360. Forks should be black with a leading axle swingarm it also had 17 inch long shocks mounted closer to the axle. The tank also would be more rectangular shaped. Gorgeous bike but pretty sure that it is a 1975
@othgmark1 yes, I think you're right. I said 75, but I wrote 76. And it's actually a #136 frame, which is a 360. I may have had the ignition specs backwards too. Too many bikes to remember sometimes
@@bullpencycles Still have my 1976 125 Pursang which l got for high school graduation. (Yes l am that old) my friend got a 1976 370 Incredibly fun to ride. Terrible brakes though. A Bultaco tradition. Love your bike and you should be a very proud owner. Also you are out riding it, bonus points.
Buy a bike for $$$$$$$$$$$. It's a mess so work hard to get it going. IT RUNS!!! Now lets see if we can go 50 yards. Nope. Maybe you need your head read. Glad you weren't physically hurt.
