Establishing a true connection between those who live in a room and the room itself can make all the difference. You will see children, with no restraints, decorate their rooms with tons of items and memorabilia from things they love. Posters everywhere, toys, sports balls, figurines, dolls, etc.
They do this because it makes the room feel like their own; There is an underlying connection of the hobbies and interests they have with the room. For us as adults, we can use the same premise in designing a living room that creates a deep connection by including subtle hints of the loves our lives.

Nice placement of the sofas. Also, a fine choice of rug. The wall paint is rich and deep, and works, though I am finding it just a little too dark when the window is so small. It might, of course, be south-facing, and if so, it could give just enough light during the day to swing the dark well, but I initially assumed the windows were much larger. If the room is not south-facing, I would have gone with olive green, which looks slightly darker in darker settings. (This would essentially shift the colour peak from the camel sofa to the velvet one, with the velvet sofa now becoming the 'odd one out', so to speak, as olive greens pair more naturally with beige and camel colours.) Good solution for the ceiling. In the original photo, the ceiling seems a bit low for the space, your solution elevates it visually. Maybe this was not the main guiding principle for you here. Be that as it may, good call on the beams. Two points where I would have tackled things differently. One is the fireplace. The colour contrast is excellent, but the problem is in its placement. Ultra classical mantels are elegant, they work well in classical interiors. However, classical interiors usually have the fireplace as a central reference point, or, at the very least, it is placed symmetrically within an autonomous portion of the space. The underlying idea is that light and warmth should be central to a congregation in a space, and for a central element, ornate decoration would be natural, as this would be an element constantly on display. Here, however, the fireplace is awkwardly placed to the side, and making it ornamental looks a bit like an expensive vase placed in a dark and remote corner. Perhaps a more subdued frame for it would make it blend more. Alternatively, a bold, ultra-modern frame could also work, if chosen well. Or, again, volume might be something to play with and make it into a 'curio' of sorts. So, either making it more subdued, or going with a bigger bang for extra contrast could, in my view, make a big difference. The second point is, perhaps, something a bit subjective. I have been, for some time now, sceptical about chandeliers or ceiling lights, in favour of lower lighting, especially for living/ sitting rooms and lounge spaces, and low ceilings, as well as with rooms which are called to perform several functions during the day. Here, for instance, you have a lounge, a music room for the kids to have lessons in, a game room for poker night, and a moderate reception room for cocktails with guests. One light, even the undeniably tasteful and elegant one you have here, is not enough, and the lamp is not enough, as, ultimately, both the fireplace area and the poker area are dark. You can still keep things moody for sure, but some nice low lighting options would play really well here. Finally, and this is not a criticism, just my own instinctive reaction as to the navigation of the room, based on some of its original weak points (or challenges if you like). I would have probably considered placing the poker table on the fireplace side. This way, the fireplace becomes meaningful, more directly functional. Also, this way your presentation of the fireplace would work better, as it would now become a smaller focal point for a dedicated space, the game area. (The main challenge here is the door which interferes with the 'relaxation vibe'. There are solutions to this, however.) Moving the poker table to the other side would open up the space near the garden (?) door, and I would have considered making that the cocktail area. I do get your point about keeping things moderately minimal and finding additional functions for the things you have in a room, but the interior here is large enough to not require such a multifunctionality. Plus, I would find it counterintuitive to have the cocktail bar in the bookcase, even in the way people use the bookcases as display cabinets nowadays. (I do not.) So, a nicely lit cocktail corner, for me personally, would be more natural. And it does not need to be either a tacky ‘80s mancave den bar, or take up a lot of space. You could keep it fairly minimal, and very elegant. Or even opt for a classical bar cabinet. Moving the sofas about 15 cm closer to the table would also give you a bit more air (also, would make the coffee table easier to use).

Great Job Chaudry. It’s always a bit more difficult to design a space when you are utilizing mis-matched, existing furniture vs starting completely from scratch. I love the bookcase wall with the integrated bar. You incorporated all of the prerequisites and the end result is fantastic and functional. All the best…

I did not expect this look! Great job. I generally can't stand it when brick is painted. I really like this look. Home run!

I love the channel and the rooms, but it appears to be all AI generated. Details like the window placement, and what can be seen from each window doesn't match the original pictures. The view from the windows doesn't change when the perspective of the photo changes, meaning the "after" photos are not real. For instance, look at the window to the right of the fireplace, and how close it is to the fireplace. The "after" shot shows a completely different sized window in a different location. Then look at the height above the door (to the ceiling). Despite "installing" beams, that height hasn't changed. Unless you completely removed and lifted the ceiling, that's simply not possible. Another example using this room, is that there is now a window to the left of the fireplace which looks outside, but originally it can be seen that there's a hallway behind that wall, not an exterior wall. I understand that AI is a fantastic tool to develop designs and show the customer what the outcome will be, but what about including some pics of the process and of the actual house itself once finished.

Our service is an online digital rendering service which provides life-like photos of the customer's room WITH the new interior design features we recommend. They also receive a shopping list with the items we use in the design. It is not an "AI generated image". Our team consists of real software renderers recreating people's homes according to their measurements and floorplans. I believe most of the people who follow our channel understand that we are an online design team.
