Thanks! Even the collapsible ones they have to fold up this small, as far as I've seen. I also wanted something that was less than 8' high so it would fit in most spaces.
We’ve been looking for more portable flags for our high key setup and this is amazing. I don’t have a truck so it was a pain lugging our diy foam flats around. I’ll try this with black foam core too
Amazing. I was thinking build this one after checking the Vflat price. Thank you for your research and time. I was searching for the links for the same setup for the blackboard.
Just came across your channel! Love your style and sense of humour. Any suggestions for having black on the other side? Haven’t been able to find black/white foam board in Canada and concerned that paint/glue would warp the board
Great video - thanks for sharing ;-) I would lobe to know now - after some usage - how do you find they hold up? Would you have done anythings differently / different materials etc.? Thanks a lot in advance ;-)
This is the only way I make v-flats, even for the studio. Hockey tape is CRITICAL and tapping the sides is critical. It prevents warping and edges stay in good shape. They'll last a decade or more of regular use.
It would take less than an hour if you're not also trying to film a RU-vid video and you don't have to stop mid-build to go pick up your dog because the carbon monoxide alarm is going off in your building.
