Game is looking great! I’m digging the character-specific approach to weapon design. I’m particularly excited for MED-1K. I wanna bounce around the arena as a literal deathball like at 7:40. Super awesome work, looking forward to seeing your progress.
@@SundercoreDevi was thinking he could summon a slime that chases enemies and deals a debuff to them, it could disapprar after 10 sec, for an upgrade it could be strapped with a bomb, and when it explodes a liquid is splashed everywhere, lets say poison, and all enemies who walk in the poison are aplied the poison debuff.
Awesome game! I'm planning on making a game like this! I'm not too new to GameMaker Studio 2 but it is quite difficult to learn how to implement most stuff. I'm struggling the most with random room generation and trying to get it to a size i like. Can't wait to play this game when it releases.
Nice work! I like all of the characters. It looks like they'd all engage the player with a different playstyle. That's great. I like Prisma and... wow. Med-1K's punching. That's looks fun. The coolest thing about all of this is that you're filling up your library with a wide collection of techniques that can be repurposed for a variety of uses. All the best!
Great showcase! All these characters look amazing and none of them look uninteresting to play with. When you mentioned you weren't going to be adding a high variety of weapons I was a little sad since looters are my jam, but the mechanics you described/showed off in this update genuinely look like they'll be a blast and are a breath of fresh air tbh. I think the "Isaac" approach you're taking with the weapon upgrades was the right move. It's somewhat familiar yet definitely stands out. I'm here for it for sure. Another thing I thought stood out was MED-1K's melee gameplay. I usually stay away from any form of melee in these types of games because it typically feels like a gimmicky afterthought, but this looks absolutely nuts and his health system is gonna call for some unique gameplay. Honestly, super impressive stuff man
this game looks great. I been following it for some time and i look forward to when its finished. The only thing i'd recommend rn is improving bullet impacts. Make them feel like they hit harder or have a juicier impacrt.

@@SundercoreDev Maybe you could find him in the 3 or 4 world and activate them with a battery, as some kind of side quest. Although I don't know if that would work well in a roguelike
heres some ideas for your dudes if ya need em, for the gooey guy you can make his ability be to eat characters sense he a werid mutant, for the robot you can have a ability that can shoot his fist out like a rocket and shoot out a few projectiles that can also be mutated and a throw thats aoe based like he slams teh enemy down on the floor that effects a small area ,idk for the yak lokin dude maybe a charge ?, brimsa tho you could have her have a crystal grenade that reflects her beam tho, and gets effected by the mods
MED-1K having 3 armor slots at the cost of all his health seems extremely steep when compared to Briggs who gets full health but 1 less armor slot. With that comparison, MED-1K seems less like of a high skill floor character(Melting from Nuclear Throne) and more like a challenge character (Pride Robe in WoL that sets your HP to 1 and disable shields). Both require skill to use, but while high skill floor characters tend to be equally if not more viable than defaults if you manage to master their unique mechanics, challenge characters are intentionally weaker than the other characters. Which is also a good niche, but it doesn't really seem like that was your intention with him. That said, we don't know his abilities yet so maybe they're strong enough to compensate for his 1 health.
Lasers Don't Need A Reload, it Only Overheat And I Think Having Duel Wield Weapons Means Every Characters Are Same With Different Guns Makes No Gameplay + A Thing, You Get it right And Also I like The Blue Skull Character Though The Shotgun When Fired It Has to Have Some Feel To The Fun Here I Don't See Any Feedbacks On the Guns And Enemy's Needs Death Animations And If You Want Your Game To Pop U Need To Change How The Background World Or The Rooms Need Some Major Overhoul Take Inspiration From More New And Old Games Search For What Makes Your Game Different FROM other Janre

Practice, that's about it, you can watch a few videos to learn some techniques, but I just comes down to how much time you spend doing it to improve at it
Probably somewhere between $10 - 15, there is a long road ahead before release, but I'm going to make sure it's worth the money, and if it's mildy successful, expect free content updates
