What are people's feelings about using AI generated artwork as a placeholder for playtesting and creating new cards? I'm 100% against published artwork using any AI at all, and would rather see existing copyrighted artwork used as placeholders instead of AI generated work, but I want to hear your thoughts. Any copyright lawyers out there? Are you legally allowed to use copyrighted work as placeholder artwork while playtesting??

Not a lawyer. But I think either option is fine. I’d prefer to pay a real artist to do something for small stuff like this but it’s just not feasible. If I was selling things it would be a real artist. But for fun silly things like this I think AI or previous images are just fine.

For playtesting sure, for production line, absolutely not. It would go against everything Sorcery stands for and at that point I would just stop collecting.
