@@that_guy_412 that’s really weird because I know so many people who have some pretty alright vpns they use for stuff like instagram or youtube and they report that a lot of people have too. But in the end, most people don’t really use youtube or instagram. Only the younger generation
I’d also like to see it paired with keeping the church powerful and happy, then having SoL around 20. That’ll max the population growth rate. Assuming Legal Guardianship as well.
Generally, the best way to make the strongest war economy is just make a strong economy in general. I guess if you wanted to be specific you would aim to secure your industrial resources, very important ones like iron, coal, especially sulphur, and lead, cause if you’re constantly at war you’ll probably be embargo’d by everyone. There’s many ways to get these but imo one of the easiest answers is to bully China. Just look at the resource potentials on the map for your plans. Generally, you want to save all your money for the military, so don’t invest in institutions besides secret police and the actual police. Get dedicated police but move to militarized police when you get the tech as it will strengthen the political clout of the armed forces and a POWERFUL armed forces will give you a huge 30% offense and defense boost. Try to rush professional army as soon as possible because it makes it possible to have a constant war economy without subsidies and also because it strengthens the clout of the armed forces too. Because you will want to spend all your money on war, Laissez Faire is imo the best choice. Subsidies are just the signs of a bad and distorted economy, excluding railways. trade policy won’t matter because you’ll be embargoed pretty fast once you’re a pariah, but free trade grows the economy fastest. Isolationism is pretty good too, as it helps build an autarkic economy and gives huge authority bonuses, great for any dictator. Keeping a happy devout is pretty easy, just have religious schools, state religion, and legal guardianship. I will say this is less effective for war economies than siding with trade unionists as trade unionists + feminism doubles your workforce which is far better than a population growth modifier of 5% and trade unionists give 20% throughput to all buildings when powerful.
Respect your work, your ideas and what you're doing. Continue to do this and i wish you luck. I'm from Russia, i talked with Iranians, so I fully understand that people. And hope that future will be better for them.
I really respect that political opening statement. 40 years ago Iran was transformed into a monster through tricks and deceit. May it once more blossom one day.
@@Tarkusarkusar found that the people who dont think like that generally have it pretty good for themselves and struggle to see that some people even living in a "modern" country might have issues that are more pressing than something on the other side of the globe
Oh dang! I didn't realize that Ban Slavery & Open Market war goals had the same prestige penalties as Humiliation. That's huge for a global domination play where it can take so long to chop down France, Austria, and Qing. Cheers!
I feel kinda sad that the biggest reason for Iran being like this is just cos good old American oil politics Imagine how great iran could've been if it's democratically elected leader had economically pushed iran to rival saudi arabia Regardless I still enjoyed the video and I really liked the historical points Still hope that horn of Africa somali state Indian Ocean empire trading empire is still possible. The gulf of aden is seriously under rated in vic3
Iran really had the potential of a European country but didint need to import oil and other resourses. Missed the potential of being stronger than France or UK
Thank you for respecting our culture we’re going through really hard times and what we need is the world to sopport us but not just us and others suffering because leaders views
I want to thumb you up for being one of the few people to give a minute to discuss the politics, not to say they don't ever, I've seen others take a second to say hey the current regime or government is not good, but I think you did it best!
Hiiiiiiiiiiiii as a Persian: first. I'm happy to see you playing it. And thanks for your respect about Iran and Iranian people second. there is some info that i like to share -Tabriz was the state that Mohammad shah started to conquer and reclaim iran. so basically it's at the early of "Qajar" that's also the reason why we have claim on Armenia and Azerbaijan. also that's why Tabriz is more populated. it was the first capital and at the start of Qajar it moved to Irakajemi. - About Omani Laristan: That's the state leased to the Sultan of Oman by 1791 and released by early 19's. - Yes, historically Persia was a bit backward in technology with a good potential to grow up thanks again. Best wishes.!
Between this and the Krakow video - would you say that there is a certain pop-floor below which the game is just sitting around watching the graph go up until 1890s or so? In a Bolivia game, even with a high QoL and inviting policies the population through immigration feels really slow compared to just like, conquering a big pop state in Asia or Africa. And the same thing happened in a Denmark game - until I secured a chunk of Nigeria it was a bit of a snoozefest.
I can't think of a particular number, but basically, if you have no more peasants, and you have no more unemployed pops, then you can no longer grow. Period. Definitely, if you can secure a Chinese or West African state to bloat your population, it's extremely effective. One of my favorite moves as Sweden is to just conquer a south Chinese state early on so I can fix my population problems. The only issue is having to ensure your shipping lanes are safe, which can suck.
I like when gamers talk about politics. I like going total separation as Persia to keep the ayatolahs in check and to not give them any power. Roleplaying.
I do wonder, what exactly are we supposed to be pressuring our leaders to do? What policies could they implement? What strategies should they be pursuing? Maybe I'm being an idiot, but all I can think of is to vote in the war hawks and go in without an exit strategy... again
It all depends on what politicians are available to you, and what the general perceptions are in your country. As a Canadian, one thing I do, here and there when an issue is important to me, is I email my incumbent MP, and best opposition MP something along the lines of "just so you know, you'd get my vote if you had/maintain X stance." It's not always the case that you can find a politician that fits all your desires, but if a politician receives enough encouragement towards a particular issue, they'll eventually feel pressured to at least consider it. If I were to email my MPs about Iran, I'd probably say something like "you'd get my vote if you support policies that pressure Iran to stop their tyranny in as many ways as possible, barring war." This way it remains relatively open so that I'm not being unrealistic, but I draw my line of not wanting to cause any wars. I'm not sure how this stuff would work for Americans or Europeans, since I don't have much knowledge of politics outside of Canada. Hope that helps!
@@Tarkusarkusar Ok, so what policies would pressure Iran's tyranny? They already have been pressed at everything you could imagine. Did it help in any way? Or did it get things worse?
My answer to the pop problem was forcing china into my market after some time and syphoning their endless pool. Also, Khiva can be conquered on day 1 with little fear of interference.
Very good opening statement!! The Iranian government is doing some pretty damn dark crap. It's sad and I too hope the Iranian people see better days soon.
I would, but I'm only kind of okay at EU4. I'm not sure I could contribute to the community in a meaningful considering there are already lots of guide-making EU4 players.
thank you man I am an Iranian and thank you very much for supporting Iranians. I just want to say that other countries support Iranians motivates Goodbye and زن زندگی ازادی
19:50 Yeah, it's so wierd. I was playing France (I'm kinda noob) and Austria was doing so good that it was a race between me and Austria. We just pass eachothers economies so many times. And we're also going to the space and passing qing and uk. Never seen an ai do so good
If cases like Persia, Tabriz is where most of your manufacturing economy in the early game will be there. Since construction sectors make construction in the state they're built in more efficient (as pointed out by Ayo Plo) it's best to stack sectors in one spot. Construction sectors don't get a throughput bonus sadly (but they do get a bonus from being in unincorporated states if you have colonial exploitation LUL)
Yeah, it's a real shame that Iran, China and Russia have such negative leaders as these places have such rich and fascinating histories and cultures. And honestly, I like the look of Persian swords the most
I may be mistaken but didn’t the current regime in Iran get instituted as a result of US intervention in Iranian affairs to begin with? If so, I would be very careful about looking to get another foreign intervention. These acts may have unintended consequences that are worse for the local population.
Would you be able to release a more detailed ledger of your early game economic buildup? By the time you go to war you've got 10 more construction capacity with a full treasury. Meanwhile I'm at a quarter of of my debt limit with a -5k deficit.
You are researching techs quite slow, I think I heard you say getting steel building in 1880 or 90. When ideally you want it in 1860 or 1850 if you can. Considering you went over your infamy limit, I think a gdp of only 1 billion by 1900 is a sign of a mismanaged economy.
You really gotta start using anbeelds ai mod. Not only gdp increase for ai, but it seems like they are also better at updating baracks to get better troops early
It sucks that in this game population doenst really grow naturally so the only ways of actually getting more people is with immigration (wich is flatly unrealistic as most countries) or through conquest
Not sure. I usually just end the journal entry after I get Modern Conservative since assuming the character is only like, 30 or 40, he'll live more than long enough for what I need barring a random duel or something.
What do you mean put your economy in auto? Automatic expansion? If that's the case then it isn't a good idea, as paradox didn't use their brain when they made it (it literally only checks if it's got money and if there's enough market access, nothing else)
Generally speaking, the automated economy stuff is a terrible idea because it's not tuned correctly. The reason I eventually stop building stuff in my runs is twofold: first, it makes the lag worse to be building stuff. Second, I don't need to grow anymore. What I mean by that is basically that my budget is better spent on things like subsidies and military once I hit like, 2 or 3 billion GDP. From there, I just add on little bits of buildings as shortages come up, and that's about all.
22:31 I did not have any major issues with Victoria 3 lag wonder why, on the other hand I basically can't run Stellaris. 24:32 This game really needs a 'Frontiermanship' colonial stance. Something like siberian frontiers in EU4 where you can make colonies, but only next to already owned land and it boosts pop-growth from births or something. I absolutely despise how Russia and the US go around colonizing Africa. The US did some minor colonizing in the philipines IRL, but it was actually a major change in policy for the US as it previously took pride in being a superpower without colonies.
How do you transfer single battalions to different army's? I was having a good game as Persia until Russia decided to invade me for no reason. I had skirmish infantry and mobile artillery and was able to hold them off no problem whatsoever. But couldn't push. I was content just waiting there, but the warscore for me was falling faster even though I was winning every battle. The reason I wanted to transfer just a few battalions to another army is to naval invade Alaska. But I didn't see any obvious way, and google was useless. Any new barracks I built just went to the existing commander, and started to create supply issues since it was balanced at the start. This game is a lot of fun, but sometimes it makes no sense at all. I wish they had just modified the HoI 4 war system. It works so much better...
@@154Kilroy Well, you kinda can redistribute your battalions between generals by promoting. They take a number of avaliable bats according to their ranks. So if you need to split a small army for naval invasion for example, promote your main general to highest rank and hire another one of rank one. This way new one will take only a few battalions from main army. It's a stupid system and lazy game design but it's only way to distribute battalions for now. Experiment with this technic a little and you'll see how it works.
Khamenei is not a villain, and the US is not that democratic either. I love IRAN from IRAN, not from someone outside and with misjudge this much about a country and its politics. With all respect, please KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOUR SELF...
I'm sure at least some of the news about Iran is propaganda in the sense that certain stories could be fabricated or misinterpreted, or other such things, but I do not believe that that means Iran is innocent in what they do. This matter, like all things, is relatively gray, but I believe it would simply be a denial of reality to think Iran isn't doing anything wrong at this time. Only the extent, and the particular stories could be argued for or against.
