If you do, it will become more severe and people will work on a cure faster (They will also shut down International Ports and Airports which will not allow you to get to hard-to-get-to countries like, for say, Greenland) The only symptoms you should do until that time (If they randomly started a cure) are Insomnia and the symptoms up to Insanity (That slows the cure)
