@@arunchebrolu1113 ahhh I see. All my decks are puns so I love to see when a pun makes into the main stream as the decks name. Like ak-47 druid. My curselock is called "The 7 words Warlock" after the George Carlin routine. Since there are 7 curse adding cards in the deck.

Abyssal curse in standard is actually mediocre, but is very funny to see -4 -5 -6 -7 in enemy turn, burn their card and make their turn completely useless, because they have to use 8 mana not to die

I thought Abyssal Curse didn't have enough cards to make it work at first. But i think if they had anymore synergy it'd def be OP. Really enjoy the archetype.

Alot of the cards are +1 mana of making them OP tbh, if alot of the curse cards costed 1 less the archetype would really be dominant imo, at least in standard

That first game come off as a surprise for me on how much the curses can do (even through Cariel) but then again that Paladin didn't even played a single Libarm of Hope so Roffle just barely made it.

You almost always want to combo the curses with Brann, and that does not give you enough mana for Loatheb. Comboing the curses with Loatheb instead gives you less damage.

@@DvirPickObviously you wouldn't combo with it but oftentimes you'll have to give the opponent a single curse card at a time- in that situation Loatheb would be a good combo to make removal prohibitively expensive.

Curselock is just Hakkar lock with extra steps. And Hakkar lock is just Mechatun lock with even more steps.

It is decent , I’ve played with it several times with fizbang and it works nicely, not op at all but with some optimization and stuff like neophyte or loatheb you could really lock the big curses and deal tons of damage

if you take plagues, kobolt librarian for any other card draw, mixure and defile, ths is a standard deck, that is crazy

Also armor vendor, tour guide and backfire are no longer in standard. Another important thing to mention is that plague and defile are incredibly important to the deck, and by removing them the deck basically would auto lose to aggro

This is the kind of cards I would love Blizzard to promote... unfortunately they are too busy giving more fuel to aggro decks to actually make Control Decks ( or any other late game centered deck) competitive.

The thing Bliz wants to avoid are unfun decks. Aggro is, sadly, fun to a lot of players because its fast and simple. OTK decks appeal to theorists, like Roffle, but are quite unfun to play against. Like everything, its a balance, and I think Bliz is actually doing a pretty good job.

This is actually really bad. If you play the curses early, you don't do enough damage and they outheal it. If you save it to combo, if your opponent is smart they just maintain 9 cards in hand, don't play anything, and let you lose to fatigue I'd add Dirty Rat to empty the opponents hand(goes well with plague and cheap minions and can disrupt combos), add neophyte and Loatheb to lock in the curses. The deck is a bit draw heavy, so I'd take out 1 backfire and rod as those are a bit too slow.

Abyssal curses are actually decent when the opponent underestimates the damage adding up. Though if they remove them from their hand and have any healing the deck sucks.

I think they're understatted because if you could actually compete with aggro decks on tempo with them, curses would be way oppressive, forcing the opponent to choose between losing tempo or losing life. Now, you're losing tempo by giving the curses, meaning when the opponent loses tempo to remove the curses you're kinda playing even.

@@geasslelouch And the fact that you could reliably draw and cast it for free? At least in wild. Earliest combo turn was 5 for ignite mage. This hasn't even played a curse by then.
