I CUT MY HAIR... AGAIN! 

I was afraid of going to the hairdressers for years and I hadn't cut my in like 7 years.. It was down to my bottom.. I'd had so many bad experiences with hairdressers who didn't know how to cut curly hair... Which is why I waited recently for a year in order to get a good friend who worked away but finally opened up her salon 😊.. She is a curly girl herself with 27 years of experience and unlikely most hairdressers she said I'm not cutting your any shorter that 4 inches .. The way she cut it gave me so much volume I'd never really had much volume before.. She's and 2 other hairdressers in her salon couldn't believe my hair was in such good condition as it hadn't been cut in years.. So thanks to you for all the advice over the years girl!!!! 😉❤️

Very nice hair. I don’t trust going to the salon either. The stylists are so scissor happy. I have my husband trim my elbow length hair every couple months to remove the split/damaged ends. He usually takes off an inch or less. He capes me, combs out my hair, sections it just behind my ear on each side, then pins it up. He lets it down in increments to trim each layer to match the guide of the previous layer. He uses pro grade Japanese steel shears to do the trimming. It takes him about 20 minutes, less time than it would be to drive to the salon. He loves my hair long, so I know he would never get scissor happy on my hair. My best friend has had a number of bad haircuts at the salon and wanted to grow her hair, so she asked who trims my hair. When I told her, he asked if he would be willing to cut hers. He said ok, and trims her hair when she stops by to visit. Her hair now reaches to the bottom of her shoulder blades and she is not sure how long she wants to let it grow, so he just takes off the splits and evens up her ends. He is very meticulous and she only trusts him to cut her hair. So she is saving money skipping the salon as well.

Totally relate to the horror of normal hair salon!! If I go to one now I go to a curly hair specialist usually a kinky hair salon!!

I have classic length (over the bum) hair, and I trim by using a compact cut (it's a layered cut, from the book Haircutting for dummies). During the year I use Feye's method (all over the net). It's a great method to use for a blunt, U or V cut!

Would you recommend cutting it in a unicorn ponytail when it's straight like you do when in your curly video?

Plus,,,,it ruined my long and thick hair 😩 Wish I knew about the CG then,,,, I would have just trimmed my own ends like I do now!!! My hair does not grow fast or maybe I can't see it bc my wavy shrinks it up!!! I know that only other curlys can relate!!!

Wow,,,,great job 😍 I don't go to Salons anymore! They always give me a cut that my wavy curly hair cannot maintain! Also they thin it out,,even when I don't want it and trim off way too much length! Then they try to sell me a Shampoo and Conditioner that amounts to like forty dollars!! Not matter what my hair will not maintain that cut it's gone once I rewash my hair!! I spent 80.00 to look good for like three days 😣😫
