I'm definitely learning that when it comes to relaxed hair STICK TO WHAT WORKS! I switched up from rollersets, and blowdrying in April and by July I had to have a major cut...I was basically bald in the back of my head 😭 Thankfully it's mostly grown back so that I can do a full head rollerset again but damn the emotional trauma of losing all that hair humbled me for real 🥺
Nice to see you back! You and your hair look nice. I'm surprised to hear that about the clarifying shampoo. I would clarify twice with no problems when my hair needed it. Next time, try using a pre-poo. The one by African pride really helped me detangle my hair after taking down some box braids! When I washed, my hair didn't matt or tangle up. Good luck to you💖.
Happy New Year to you and your family! I feel the extensive stretching is doing more harm than good to our hair. It's either we're relaxed or natural. I too took the decision to relax my hair every 9 to 10 weeks and if my hair is unmanageable at 8 weeks, I'll relax it then.
I just got the kera care humectant just a small one for now. Glad you shared your experience. Sorry about your hair set back but its still looking beautiful. I am happy to see you back😊. Congratulations on your first PR package 🎉. I feel you on the video editing and keeping up with the 9 to 5 plus home chores. But just know that you got this💪
Your hair still looks awesome. I experienced some chemical damage Mid last year. I tried trimming while maintaining my length. It looked healthy, the ends were blunt, not see through, but thin. I just spontaneously decided to chop it all off. So I'm carving out my 2023 regimen too to get back to bsl. Glad to see you're back.
Missed you Dena, glad you’re back! Appreciate the update- your haircut looks FAB and congrats on the PR package! P.S Commenting from a different account so you may not recognize the name.
What happened to you with losing a lot of hair from a wash day....that happened to me a few years ago and it literally made my hair light and thin, like if I had no hair on my head. However following that my hair is doing great now. That feeling though....😭
You have gorgeous hair and it still looks very pretty. I am a roller set girl and I find that my hair thrives better. Try getting your mom or a girlfriend to roll it for you on wash days.
Funny African women (residing in African countries) are saying something totally different. Pretty sure it's the foods and drinks in America causing problems.
