As a German, i am a little surprised about the way the gentleman at the start creates expectations. Germany never went into a tournament with the attitude we must be champions! A tournament like the Euros is very difficult and you certainly don‘t win because you have two or three exceptional players at club level. For England, it would be nice to finally win something, but this will allways remain a team effort

We dont see the french players often, literally every competition they bring in new players but at the moment England has some great players but France have some players who can win this championship.

The only English players who get in the French team are Walker, Foden, Jude and Kane!

Southgates system = under 13's football. Really confused as to why these pundits reporters alike never talk about what GS's system actually is, as in we all know he has one, but what does it actually consist of? For me, all I see in our system is the fact every single player in our England team would have played this rigid, position based linier SYSTEM when they were playing under 13's football. As a team we have big boy ballers playing for big boy clubs under big boy managers. Fact is, how easy would it be to allow our footballers to express them selves with in the same 'system' employed by the clubs? I think it's clear to see, Southgate doesn't have the foggiest on how to allow our players to perform to the best of their abilities. He can drive a Ford focus to Asda, but can't even start the engine on a f1 car...fortunately or maybe unfortunately we have a team full of f1 highly tuned over engineered by their managers race cars. England don’t need 2 defensive midfielders. I hate this opinion. Rice can protect the defence we must prioritise fitting in our attacking talent because they are so good. We’re still too cautious and scared to lose. We need to start going into every game against the top teams to win.

This is the problem. Everyone always says we need the ‘two sitting players.’ Why do we need two! Let’s play to our strengths and play our attacking players. We always try to focus on quelling our opponents rather than focusing on our own strengths. Let’s try and outplay the best teams for once rather than just survive.

i got every confidence in the players, but no confidence in Southgate's ability as a manager at this level. 3 times he has been found out, in 3 crucial games, Croatia semis, italy final, and France. i do like southgate but not managing maybe get an assistant with him to help in those in game moments when under pressure two heads better than one sometimes.

Last Euro they had the biggest chance to win at home. But with Southgate in charge you know, as soon as England will face with a team in his level, they fail. Because that is the time the role of the manager becomes critical. They lost both to Italy and France in last tournaments, because those teams had better managers.

The team is very good, on paper. GK - Ramsdale, CBs - Stones and Tomori, RB - Reece, LB - Chilwell, CMs - Rice and Palmer, CAM - Bellingham, LW - Foden, ST - Kane, RW - Saka. Bench: Rashford, Sterling, Wilson, Walker, Trent, Trippier, Shaw, Maguire, Pickford. The best national team on paper, only France comes close.

It's Bellingham & Kane that are the real difference makers. They're the best footballers in that squad. If they are fully firing we have an incredible chance of winning.

England has big STARS , but you need a different coach. It’s unfair not win Euro this season.

I think their only issue is with the holding midfield position, there is no decent backup option for Rice nor someone to partner him if Bellingham is given the free roaming role like in Madrid. Maybe if they can find a good partner for Maguire in Guehi or Branthwait, they can push Stones higher to the midfield.

England have a shot. Best we've seen from talent in a while. They usually struggle to control games because their squad consists of players that don't run the show at their clubs. The foreign players of Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and City generally make the teams go. This squad is finally different. Leaders and quality role. Their style isn't good enough to call them heavy favorites, but I can see them doing it with players like Foden, Saka, Bellingham and Kane who are so instrumental to the beautiful football their clubs play

Unfortunately Southgate will pick favourites to fail again. Henderson and Maguire will be on the plane but should be nowhere near. Right now I wouldn’t take Rashford or Phillips either.
