I'd Rather Be Blue (Barbra Streisand/Funny Girl) 

This song was originally performed by the original Fanny Brice back in 1928 for the movie My Man. Forty years later, Barbra starred in the movie musical version of Fanny's story, Funny Girl.
In case you need help with the references to technology in the 1920s, before refrigerators were common, people had literal ice boxes; a delivery man would regularly come in a truck and drop off a huge chunk of ice for you to keep in your insulated ice box to help keep your perishables cool. By the mid-1920s, refrigerators started to appear, and one of the leading brands was Frigidaire. The implication is that the singer is taking away temptation by no longer letting the ice man into her house.
