I did a mini version of this today prior to watching this video. I haven’t given my store very much love this month. I added several new listings and ended/sold similar 10. We’ll see what happens in coming days. Thanks!
You probably should figure out what was wrong with the listing in the first place. Typos, misspellings, price etc. The listings with watchers only need to be revised. Lower the price on those listings and ebay will automatically notify the watchers of the price drop. I generate at least 5 to 10 sales a day doing this. If you do sell similar take screen shots of your listing photos then reupload crop and save. This will give your listing photos a new id number and give the listing a much higher impact with cassini. Remember to write your titles in order with the required item specifics and do not cram more words than needed. Brand+what it is+stlye or type+size if it is clothing. Everything else will call from the additional item specific variables.
Sell similar and tweak the listing -- definitely. Recently I have not been promoting my listings immediately. Sometimes I know that the item will sell quickly so why give eBay more of my earnings for doing nothing? Usually I post the item and if there are zero views over the next week, I may add 2% promoted listing. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Hi, I do this but although it takes longer I only do this as an item is about to renew. This keeps the re-listing problem off the table. I take this time to check over my listing, its amazing how many times I have found errors in my listings. Sometimes I wonder how those errors even got there!
As a matter of fact, I did this two days ago on 18 items and have gotten a ton more views on most of them and have sent out several offers. I've read recently and watched a few other RU-vidrs say that you should definitely tweak each listing when using sell similar -- whether by adding or updating the title with better key words or even adding a few new pictures. I've also been using AI to generate titles with better SEO words too.
I did this and made a mistake along the process. I had a variation listing. It was for a lot of LPs by the same artist but several different titles. I was selling them by title. I had sold some of them before I did this process. What I didn't realize was the "Sell Similar" would use my ORIGINAL listing not the latest ones with the SOLD ones grayed out. I did NOT notice this and TODAY a buyer selected a SOLD one since they ALL showed as available. I had to cancel the sale and refund the money. But the real issue is this is a "HIT" to your eBay rating as a listed item "Out of stock". Maybe I did something wrong ?? I will just be extra careful next time.
You are paying a lot $ in insertion fees. I had the same issue with items rolling over every 30 days. I am a very small seller (Less then 50 sales per month). So for a long time I thought... "I sell too little to get a store"... However the cost of a Basic store was far less then my Rollover insertion fee cost so I went an got the store and am saving a great deal of $ every month. Sometimes the choice to get a store is NOT volume but how long your inventory sites as each month you pay as the listing automatically rolls over . Very informative video. I am going to try this out Thanks
Thank you! The reason I paid so much in insertion fees during the taping of this video was that I went way over the number of items I relisted. I learned a lesson and won't go over the 250 allocated per month. Thanks for watching and I hope it helps!
I am not a buyer or a seller. 30 years ago I did buy, and wait. Because the internet was not here yet. 😵💫It was tough back then. I had over 300 wedding gowns.🥴 Have you ever watched "Yvon Thrifty Rich" She is kind and loves to help other youtubers. Just a thought. I do love you and your channel.👍
In the Seller Hub, click on Listings. There's a small box on the left side of each listing. Click the item you want to end. Follow the video for thr rest of the instructions. Hope this helps!
Your seller limit will increase as you complete more sales. The more you sell, eBay will send you periodic emails notifying you of the increase in your selling limit. We all start out there. How many items do you have for sale? How many sales have you had in the last 90 days?
That made total sense. I loved this (though no rooster) and I love watching you thrift. While cleaning out storage I found vintage marbles and am considering selling them after perusing ebay. I used your tip to check for what sold. So, all your tips would be useful. Are you planning to discount stuff for the holidays? Is that done on Ebay? Thank you for another great episode.
Thank you! Not discounting yet, but have tweaked a few prices! Good luck with the marbles -- I know there are people out there that collect them. Keep me posted on how they sell!
