Not having a special reward for all 400+ houses is such a Nintendo thing to do. Reminds me of the Korok seeds or filling the encyclopedia in BotW or the Moons in Mario Odyssey. I guess the reward is a feeling of completion…. Or dread, as you said.

the many of the same species thing sounds like how villagers are summoned for mystery islands, by type and species. As you go through literally everyone, maybe some species get eliminated from the selection pool, making situations where the same species is rolled over and over

so like i watched this when it came out and am rewatching now and it just occured to me, i did a 1000+ ticket villager hunt for peanut and she never showed (only to show in my campsite about a month after i gave up) and im starting to wonder if she was in my move in cue

i wonder if your influx of a bunch of squirrels has to do with the fact they're one of the most abundant species in the game

Did you do the special characters like Isabelle, Nook, etc that can only be invited with amiibos, or is it just the normal villagers.

Kinda sad the game doesn’t do anything after completing all these houses or at least use the beach space for the residing villagers. Instead you get an empty front beach area… Either way, huge props on committing to all of this and sharing your findings c:

Perhaps theres a special ending if you complete all the houses including the special npc’s amiibo where the game tells you to seek therapy :)

I've never thought about what happens when you decorate all of the villagers' HHP houses! I've done around 150 and I can already see a difference in how many repeats of villagers show up on the beach or the café/restaurant (well, it makes sense, but it never occurred to me it would be so obvious not even halfway through the 400+ characters!). Seeing the beach so empty is very eerie and borderline creepy! 😂I can't imagine the time wasted in loading screens or just setting up the plots, let alone the editing time for this video! Great work as always!

Huh, I always thought moving queue doesn’t matter on HHP island, and you can find any villagers, except your own. Interesting. P.S. Will you do any new acnh speedruns? Like getting all KK songs, or getting photos of all of your 10 villagers?

Like others have stated, I do wonder if anything special happens if you do ALL homes, including non-villager NPCs.

I also did this and noticed there were 3 villagers that never showed up. Ed, Zell, and Kid. Also noticed that if you keep ignoring villagers they are more likely to show up which eventually leads to them always showing up the next day no matter what. I kept ignoring Rodney which lead to him showing up every day for my last maybe 50-100 days. PS I did one house a day so they reset once for every villager I did.

I mused how long it would take to get all the bug models and fish models, but to my horror I realized something more devastating: how long would it feasibly take to make an outdoor museum with models and fossils?

Do you think the game randomizes what villagers show up on the beach first by choosing a species, then an individual villager of that species? As I understand it, the deserted islands use that mechanic, and that's why it was so hard to find Raymond early in the game - because he's one of 23 cats that can appear. There are 19 squirrel villagers in NH - which is still a lot more than some other species - so you may have just exhausted all the other species, leaving a lot of squirrels.

I know this is a bit old and I'm not sure if it was changed in a patch or if you're aware or what, but I just finished housing all non-amiibo villagers in my last session, and today my beach is fully populated with already-housed villagers. Did you try going back the day after finishing the house for the last villager?

I was kind of disappointed that you only need to complete 30 to "finish" the DLC and unlock everything... I was hoping you'd get some cool things for different milestones further along to encourage people to do more, because honestly I love the DLC a lot.

Well, I don't know what else I expected to happen... It was interesting to find out that villagers in your move-in queue won't end up on your beach, though

I've been playing the DLC since it was released, did TT often, hoping to someday find Julian, made a home for 140 villagers and still I have never seen him not even once. You mentioned the 'move in queue' and I'm like what the hell is that? Now the mystery is solved, Julian never appeared and will never appear on the beach/cafes because he's stuck in my move in queue..! That's so silly

So, no party for completing every HHP home? No thank you message? Nothing???

I think it's good they don't reward you for something like that. It would make me want to do it for myself. Same thing with completing every single nook miles achievement (I'm still working on that anyway)

Awesome work. I could never do that, and I'm home full-time! I can barely force myself to do the next HHP project; I just don't have the imagination to build awesome places.

This is just a guess but maybe it has to do with rarity a bit hat certain species are grouped together as they are less common to appear then other species

I LOVE YOU, SO MUCH. RESPECTFULLY. I play ACNH on and off but I LOVE ACNH content!!! It soothes my mind fr after a hard day of playing league 😂

This is not related to Happy Home paradise BUT, I was villager hunting when I also discovered a pattern. Sometimes, I would see 1 of the species more than any other. This could or could not include repeated villagers but it was constant. We know the RNG it's Species>Specific villager so I didn't thought much of it but it was odd I was only seeing squirrels or only Wolves. I don't think I noticed any pattern on my last Island so maybe it's related to the seed but who knows 🤷‍♀️

For your next challenge, use nookazon to get the amount of nook mile tickets equivalent to the amount of villagers in the game then see if you can get a specfic villager you chose within that amount of trips.
