I love when I find little things in editing lol. 1:37 when he said he turned the car around and it went to that quick clip, that was them hitting it previously. The car still had the window broken and wasn’t turned around. I know, I know. I’m a genius lmao but nah I just thought I’d share that. It’s cool to see how these guys do things.
Spoiler Alert!!! I loved this video, well made and very fun to watch. It reminded me of Top Gear in the earlier days. Fun Fact: Live fire in the UK on the mainland is or was banned by military and civilian tanks, blanks are permitted. They actually shoot out to sea or go to Europe/Canada to train on land. If you watch closely you will see that the explosion travels uniformly along the side of the car indicating that this was a controlled explosion, the smoke from the barrel does not have a vortex effect (the spinning projectile from the rifled barrel would suck the air round it like a tornado, this is more like blowing smoke out a straw), they do for a second add a CGI round though its too short, the front suspension and axle have also been disconnected prior to the explosion as the car lifts the wheel stays on the ground, there is also too much smoke indicating that the tank fired a blank or smoke round. On a battlefield smoke from barrels kill, as it reveals your location. If they did somehow get permission to fire a live round they would have used a tracer round for a video and in the long shot I see no round traveling towards the car, as the imaginary round hits the car you can see the sparks from the ignition of the controlled explosives, the vehicle has also had its engine and fluids removed as it does not appear to be front heavy or leak. All of the above is done for safety, you cant just have people go and blow cars up for fun and views on RU-vid like in the US there are safety and environmental issues to consider. All the special permissions you will need, particularly in the UK are not easy to come by and require some serious training and experience. All in all this was probably quite an expensive video to make. It will have taken more time, effort, money and assistance than actually just shooting it with a round.
Worst thing is is that these cooler-converted Mini's (originally made for Red Bull) are super rare, and some collector would probably have paid a fortune for it.
Thats wat im also thinking..it took freezy a while to get it too.he should have atleast gave it to fan or something..It would have been a nice item to keep too.But of course this guy destroys it for content
