I used to sell & install lilly,Koi ponds at a farm market / garden center for about 23 yrs. I was pretty good & in the know with quite a bit of it. You can make water proof & water tight liner splices pretty easily & just add on to save money on liner,but I think your wise to go all new because the first liner might be 1/2 its life expectancy already. That can make a big pain later & having to drain & resplice & replace 1/2. If got it & can,spend it now.

Some care and attention to detail goes a long way and I think you've pretty much shown that through and through. The new pond might not be everything you want, but it's going to be hell on wheels compared to the old one. I can't wait to see more of it.
