Did my first day of the 50. Managed to get through them all...took me almost 15 minutes, so guess that isn't too bad for a 60 yr old. I want to encourage anyone who decides to start a workout routine! You can do it!!!!
I did stick with it for awhile and it wasn't too bad. I will be 61 in a couple of months and you really have to start slow. I have now switched to other exercises as I felt it really wasn't giving me the overall full body workout I wanted. I would recommend giving it a try, though.
@@trumanburbank4291 oh no doubt about it! i was considering trying this challenge but i'm content with the fitness routine i have now. i just think she could've shown the results. anyone could say they've done it and then shoot a short video.
Just wanted to tell you guys that this works. I did it for a month and i lost 6kg!!! I did try eating healthy and increase water intake too. Pray for my success!! 💪🏼
@@sahanweerakoon8544 but it's the wrong way of doing a pushup. Not getting an injury while doing something wrong isn't the goal. You want to do things right. Doing things right gets the best results.
Yeah. Im think but beyond unfit. Thin people feel like they can keep up with gym veterans... no you cant. I passed out at the gym. It was embarrassing. I now pace myself.
I did this challenge too. Started with 30 Burpees because I was absolutely untrained and not able to perform 5 pushups in a row. After a year of constant training I was able to do 150 pushup burpes in 23 mins.
My buddy and I went from 10 push-ups to over 300 per day. It took a year. But by the end of that year we were both ripped. My waist went from 34 to 28. A size 28 waist at 29 years old.😉
@@KosherPorky I heard his name get thrown around a lot whenever the topic of burpees came up. Looked into his channel and was blown away. First video I saw of his was just him doing Navy Seal Burpees for 40 minutes straight in his barracks. Insane!
@@KosherPorky he's a king. incorporated his stlye of burpees couple months ago (obv not his quantity😂) to complement martial arts/combat sports and im getting so much better, from getting through the practices/classes with more breath than before, to my overall strenght/agility/resistance.... everyone should at least check out burpees oriented training.. amazing payment for investing just a couple minutes a day
@Late to the Game I don't need research if I can ask a certified coach at my gym on how to do a burpee. You shouldn't have your hands pointed in like that.
@Late to the Game No it doesn't. It puts more stress on the anterior deltoid, i.e. the tiny muscle on the front of your shoulder. If your trainer says otherwise, he failed anatomy and should give up training people.
Just tried burpees for the first time since JR high, and they raise my heart rate the most, out of every exercise! They also work my full body. I appreciate you getting me motivated towards this (50 burpees a day)
YEP...in this case we started with a fit looking skinny ˋmodelˋ, and after all those burpees, we ended up with a fit looking skinny ˋmodelˋ, all the inspiration I needed.
Day 30. (Realization) This challenge is more difficult to mind than body. ( train the brain/mind first by REMINDING advantages of exercise and rest leave to routine)
TIMESTAMPS: How to do burpees correctly 0:31 Day 1: I feel exhausted 1:40 Day 2: Why does my body hurt? 2:05 Day 3: I still feel like a sack of potatoes 2:30 Day 5: My abs are killing me 3:14 Day 7: I'm definitely getting better! 3:33 Day 10: Something wonderful happened 4:26 Day 14: I'm falling in love with my workout 4:45 Day 20: 6 minutes and 13 seconds! 5:07 Day 30: Time to sum up my experience 5:35
1:07 Your hands should not be turned in. Doing that puts extra pressure on your shoulders and your rotator carp, leading to injury. Always have your fingers pointing forward. Move your hands a little further apart if that helps but keep your elbows tucked in.
I thank you for this tip for this challenge of 50 burpees a day. I'm gonna start tomorrow(Saturday). I've never been fit of any sorts in my life. Appreciate your motivation
On breathing, always do it through your nose; don't breath through your mouth! That way your lungs work more effeciently because the air you inhale is moist whwn it gets to your lungs, doesn't dry out your lungs, and that enhances the oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide elimination!
It kind of depends I have winged shoulder blades so having an "outward diamond" (Though not THAT deep) can help it really depends on how your body is dealing with the weight, I had hurt my back in Basic doing push-ups the "Right" way and f'd my neck up, I thought I ruined my life, turned out (Winged Blades) Just be safe and do what you feel at the moment is the most comfortable for you at first then as you build you can expand or go more diamond.
Amazing result ! My story: i was participated in a three months challenged, though all my friends did it throughout three month but i was the only one did it for last two months. I followed my diet plan(home made, 5 days battle rope, burpee, 3 days strength exercise including dead lifts etc) though i thought diet and vegetables before sleep was more effective than any other thing(i followed my daily work routine as well).. say what i lost mine 14.3 kg in two months and stayed second in the competition within 10 participants. Its more mental than physical and i m glad that i m still in good weight( 84.7 kg to 70.4 kg).. but burfee exercise is amazing home exercise and more effective than other
@@jenael.s7012 Not really, Im skinny but not hard out toned lil bit of love handles, not much tho but Ive always been an active person n workout reguarly before I did burpees.
Don't go to the gym if you did burpees and it makes you tired. You can't feel your energy at the gym coz you did burpees. I've done it myself that's why I know. Just sharing.
I started a week ago... 50 burpees a day. I've made videos on my daily progress... after 2 weeks I'll be doing a video of before and after... including weight. After a week... i already feel stronger and tighter 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I had done 700 push ups a day for 31 days in 2018....i managed to lose 6 kg in weight... My waist went down to 28" from 32"... Everyday i used to feel miserable when it was time for my workout...but i am glad i did it
It Will Make Your Chest Triceps,Sixpack,Traps And Biceps Bigger Cause Some Push Ups Will Make Your Biceps,Sixpack And Triceps Bigger💪💪💪But I Will Make 20/15 Regular Push Ups Everyday Cause My Endurance And Strength Isn't Strong😩😩😩FYAX
For Pete's sake don't start with 50 if you have not been exercising. Maybe ten first and second day, fifteen, days 3-6, then start increasing as you feel comfortable.
Chelley thank you complete Novice here I learnt more in comment sections. Should Not be. Taking everything on RU-vid as gospel. Will do this. Thanks again!
Well done. Challenges are good motivators, too. Looks like you're ready for variations, such as doing them under a pullup bar, or with lighter dumbbells in hand, or make the jump be over something to the side, or make it a broad jump down a football field, etc. Such a great exercise with unlimited possibilities.
I was working on a 28 day body challenge; however, my body decided to start my period I try to suppress 5 months, but I had a period twice in 2 months. I have Endometriosis and this last period has been horrible. I am going to start my challenge all over again and pray nothing more stops me preventing myself
In college I did curls, at least 6 reps per day. I was doing a few in high school but not consistently. Once in college I had more control of my schedule and really concentrated on them. My freshmen year I was very disciplined. I definitely did my curls daily, usually in sets of 4-6. On the Weekends, I would ramp it up to 10-12 reps. Sometimes i would overdo the reps on the weekend and I would have to recover during the week. Other times I enjoyed the reps so much that it felt like I couldn’t quit. Soon I started seeing changes in my body and my life in general. I became more social. It seemed that the reps gave me instant confidence. I had many new friends that also participated in this challenge. Some seemed to be “naturals”. Those seemed to be the ones that didn’t continue with the reps into the Sophomore year. Thats because they had no Sophomore year. Many stayed home. I’m not sure if they continued with the reps. Many learned that fewer reps during the week resulted in more academic productivity. But the weekend was set aside for reps. This developed into a habit pattern that lasted thru graduation and into the working world. The majority of people did weekend reps as a reward for “getting through the week”. One should watch videos, movies, and perhaps, LivePd to determine if reps are the right thing for his or her or blah life.
So I made my own challenge: The Push-up, Sit-up, and Pull-up Challenge. I called it “The Psycho Challenge”. It lasts about 9 weeks. You start off the first week with 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups and 20 pull-ups. Each workout has 5 different variations . So you’re doing, as an example, 5 different types of pushups and they’re 20 each. Each week, you increase your push-ups and sit-ups by 50 and your pull-ups by 10. My arms were massive, I actually had a chest, my back was ripped. I had so much confidence when I got back into the gym. I was stronger than I thought I was when I started doing weighted workouts. Caution: this workout is not recommended for people that is on a time strain, but the workout must always be completed in an hr. No matter how high you’ve gotten in reps.
100 Push-Ups! 100 Sit-Ups! 100 Squats! 10KM Running! (that’s 6.2 miles). Repeat 7 days a week. That’s it! This was the exercise routine of the strongest man in the world. You may not know him, he is always underrated and underappreciated. The only downside this extravagant routine is you might go bald from the sheer intensity of the workout.
Your Vedio motivated me.... I am too fatty and Iam out of shape... When I see this Vedio I think it will be more worthful.... Today I start to workout Burpees... Say me good luck!
Burpees will always be my go-to exercise! Do them anywhere, modify the intensity and sets, and you will always get a highly productive effective workout in!!
Here is a workout routine: 100 jumping jacks 100 burpees 2 sets of 10 jump squats Plank Crawl for 3 minutes Two sets of 10 planks ups and downs Two sets of 15 Russian twist Three sets of 25 crunches Leg raises 25 of 2 sets Individual leg raises 20 of 2 sets Bicycles - 25 Rainbow planks - 25 of 2 sets Side plank crunches on both sides 25 times.
I do 4 sets of 6 for 24. I jump to a bench. I would do more, but I run out of breath and don't want to do more than 4-5 minutes of them. Keep it up. Peace!
Burpees are the exercise I did this for 2 weeks before I got an injury (sports related) and my athleticism increased I was jumping higher, running faster, had more Agility and stamina. It works I only did 33 a day without breaks
IG: ohhitznene My girlfriend dated an ex con. They use to go to the park and do prison workout sessions. Her body NEVER look better she got rip💪🏽😳 Don’t knock it till you try it. 😅
People put away your gadgets. 1. You will realise there's a lot of free time. 2. Your concentration level becomes double 3. You will realise there isn't much trouble in the world than what you really think. 4. You will become positive lot more than before . 5. Try to convince yourself first than others . then you will understand half of the problems are over. ( so use less gadgets , specially Mobile)
Nobody just does 50 burpees. Just to be able to do burpees, you have to be in half way decent shape. So if you want to say "add 50 burpees to your present work out" then I can buy it.
For those who not used to routine proper exercise, please do warmup & stretching properly before & after burpee (or other exercise) session. U might not feel now, or even in 20 years, but joint pain in ankle, knee & elbow will eventually set in after years of neglect. From my own exp exercising since 15 yo until now 40. Lots of channel on YT show how to properly warmup, stretch & cooldown.
@@sonali21bisht try it from your knees and if that's to hard you can do it with your hands on a dresser or counter top. You could also do flies with dumbbells 🙂 Hope this helps
Wow, I'm going to start this tomorrow. 5 sets of 10 every day. I got this and you all do too. I will be back July 30th, 2019 and tell you all my results!.
Burpees by itself won't do that much..but it can be added to a exercise program to give you a variety.....mix it in with other exercises, so it won't get boring....
I’m doing a challenge right now.. Day 2. So happy I found this video cause I was really needing some motivation!! I’m happy to hear it’s going to get better?! Lol!
