Hey everyone! This was our last video in Brunei!! Just as a quick note, there's not many videos left from South East Asia 👀👀 so get ready for a crazy rest of the year!! Subscribe if you haven't already and put the notification bell on so you don't miss a video!! See you in the next one!
The country might not be as modern as other Asian countries, but Bruneians are really good at communicating in English. I find that most of the people in this video can understand and speak the language, which will make it easier for foreigners and tourists to interact. Salute! 😄
HII I'm one of the girls you hung out with in Jerudong Park. (The one who asked for you to be my mother🥲 and is wearing a black shirt) I really enjoyed hanging out with you and i appreciate our bonds together! I hope you enjoyed Brunei and made it memorable 💝
Bruneians, please know that Tumpi, Nasi Katok and Satay Urat is uniquely yours. Even if we Malaysians could find, we would have to hunt for it. And that would be only in Sarawak? So please please please, give more light into it!
Brunei is a place for those who enjoy slow living, enjoy good foods and bath in pristine nature. Those who want entertainment, esp. busy nightlife, Brunei is for sure not for you. Thus, some find the country boring. Anyway, thank you guys for coming here. Its also great to hear you had a great time.
Watching you cook with the locals was heartwarming. It’s amazing how welcoming and friendly the people are in Brunei. I haven't been to Brunei, but I've had similar experiences in other Southeast Asian countries I've visited. As a fellow travel vlogger, I know how special it is to capture these moments. 👌
HII! Im the girl that was overly confident at 23:07. I really hope you come back soon and check out our school! (P.S we were not following you we just happened to bump into you a lot) LOVE YOU JOSIEE
Don’t ever lose your confidence! ☺️☺️ Hahaha no no I was joking about following me! Don’t worry 😂 glad you all come along and thank you for being very friendly to me on my trip in Brunei 🙏🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
HII JOSIE 🤍 I HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD TIME IN BRUNEI !! ME AND MY FRIENDS WILL REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS 🤍 We have been talking about you in school and, if I'm being honest, we kept bragging to our other classmates about how we met you 😅 Thank you for spending time with us during your time in Jerudong Park! Hope to see you again:)
I can see it first hand that they are proud to be Bruneians. Even the non-Bruneians, they talk proudly about this country too. I can see how happy they are with the country and the King! I’m in Brunei now and I love everything here.
Thank you Josie and Michael coming to our humble country and experiencing Brunei tradition, culture and heritage. Hope you and michael can spend more times in Brunei and explore more.❤
12:49 Hai Josie.Thank you for this video today.I really not expected that the first time I meet you this year. That's amazing for me.Plus,I worked at Ministry of Culture,Youth & Sports.I meant I worked at Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka(DBP). 19:00 Hai Josie.I meet you again for second time after 40th Brunei National Day & we all Bruneian local peoples take a selfie with you this year.
HIII JOSIIEEEE I'm one of the girls who you encountered at jp 🫶 im the girl with a white shirt and glasses ! Going on the bumper cars with you really is a core memory 😭🫶 my friends and I love yoooouuuu ‼️ im so glad we could give you a core memory in Brunei!!
Honestly, as someone from a place that’s over touristed, the best thing I can wish for the people of Brunei, is that people don’t visit there and it doesn’t become a tourist destination. Tourism is destructive to the places cursed to draw people to it & tourists feel entitled to that destruction & their disrespectful behavior and attitude simply because they “contributed to the economy”, most tourists aren’t like you guys, unfortunately.
Amazingly GREAT video! Loved the warmth, laughter, friendliness of the people and your interactions with them- so uplifting. Would definitely consider going to Brunei after watching this. Thank you for the insights into a country I really didn't know anything about. Loved it!
2:17 I wish they brought you to eat Tumpi at Fayze Jaya. Bruneians need to know that Tumpi is uniquely Bruneian. I'm from KL and til today I miss it! Tumpi and Satay Urat. No, you can't get satay urat in Malaysia.
@@natasyajames6928 That's tumpik. Totally different. I believe at most it might be Bornean cuisine. We from peninsular of Malaysia has never had it before
Another great one! I can feel the warmth of Brunei people through the screen, seems powerful enough to turn an introvert to an extrovert!😆 Can’t stop laughing through the whole video!
Hi Josie & Michael👋👋👋 This was so much fun to watch, I’m grateful to you guys for sharing your travels bc it allows me to experience other countries traditions and sights, something I’ll never be able to do bc of disability and health issues🤷🏻♀️ Brunei is beautiful and the people are so kind🥰 I love how excited the locals get when they recognize you two, it’s so sweet👍👍👍 TYFS, Fascil did an amazing job, he should definitely start his own channel🙏♥️🤞
Hello Josie and Michael 🎎🇦🇺🇦🇺 Nice Tour video in Brunei.Brunei people are looking like Chinese it might be due to South Chinese Sea ⛵ connectivity and I think Migration of Chinese in Brunei might have been happened in Past.In Goa, India, Portuguese people have lived and still now Goa people are connected to Brunei is one of the member countries in ASEAN(Association of South East Asia Nations)
To truly experience Brunei, I would highly recommend any tourist to: - find a local guide. This makes your whole experience much better, in my opinion, especially in terms of transport, and really understanding our culture and the ins and outs of our country. Too often I see tourists wandering around, not knowing what to do or where to go 😅 - come here when there's a big event (National Day, Sultan's birthday etc) otherwise it's pretty quiet here Many Bruneians are friendly and will most likely to help you out if asked (and it does help that we speak at least basic English here). We're sometimes just a bit shy so do make sure to approach and ask for help if you're not sure of anything 😁 And thank you Josie and Michael for visiting our country! Come back again next time 🤩
Brunei is a wealthy country and The Sultan of Brunei is the second richest monarch. What is greatly admired about Brunei is that the government prioritizes the prosperity of its people rather than constructing less important things just for show-off, unlike some countries that build luxurious places but unable to provide free and quality education, causing students from low-income backgrounds to be unable to continue their studies simply because they cannot afford to pay, leading to the withholding of examination certificates.
I guess you haven't been to Pakistan.. Pakistan is massive and diverse country with lush green vallies, towering snow peaked mounatins, beautiful beaches, mesmerisnig nature, wast variety of cultures and culinary cusines kind and hospitanble locals. Habibi come to Pakistan 😂
Hi Josie. I am Bruneian. I have lived my whole life here. I have only recently studied abroad in Western Australia for 3 years now (Currently in the final year of my undergraduate degree). One thing I learned about studying abroad is my country is unheard of in Western Australia, even to some of my Southeast Asian friends. Having someone like you to explore my country and learn about the culture and tradition brings me great joy and happiness. I hope many more will get to know Brunei :)
Thank you for coming to Brunei.. i really hope you're happy here during your trip.. josie.. your laugh is really contiguous.. i was smiling and laughing while watching this vlog.. again thank you..hope you will come back again to Brunei..next time you should come on julai during our Sultan Birthday.. Thank you again 🥰🤍
Actually attended during the national day. Still couldn't forget that I woke up SO EARLY I think around 3 am and came there around 4 am but it was jam packed. Even food vendors were there already. During the previous years, I don't really wake up that early so this year's celebration definitely was special 😆 Watching your vid really reminds me of that day
