Sony ZV-E1 is the overkill Vlog camera Sony launched in 2023. It has been hyped by creators all over the world. I have spent the last year exploring, trying and challenging the ZV-E1.
Who is the ZV-E1 for? Is it a professional camera? How does it compare to the Sony FX3 and FX6? Life of Riza made a great video on this camera, and so have a lot of creators. Mine might be different and have other things to it, but I also think it's nice to have a video made without being sponsored bu the brand.
With the same sensor as the FX3 and the FX6, the ZV-E1 is a powerhouse of a camera in a super small body. The big question is "who should get the ZV-E1?"
The Sony ZV-E1 might be the perfect vlog camera, but what limitations does it have? Is it Sony's new flagship, or is it a hype?
With its 12MP the ZV-E1 is a hybrid camera that will fit for a lot of creators, though not all.

Not sure if I understand what you mean 😅 if you’re talking about the grading/look I was going for a silhouette an needed all shadows in the foreground to be down

Awesome points. Just want to ask, what favourite lens will you use on your ZVE1 ( with dynamic active stab on)? Is it prime or zoom?

Thanks! Appreciate that! I would say my favorite lens is a prime 24mm. I have used it a lot with my 24-70, but it just feels a little too big for the camera body!

what lens do you recommend for traveling with ZVE1? Can you do 120fps in APSC HD?

It totally depends on what you are filming, but for me I have found that 24-70 has been good. Although it's a bigger and heavier lens, I have really enjoyed using that one when traveling. 16-35 is also good. I do find myself using the fixed 24 a lot, but that obviously gives you less freedom. But you can always move yourself instead of zooming! Not sure if I understand your question about APS-C HD as this is a full format camera. Unless I misunderstood the APS-C part. You can film 120fps 4K with the ZV-E1 :)

ZV-E1 does not have APSC mode only full frame. If you use APSC lens you can punch in with clear image zoom 1.2-1.5x to get rid of vignetting.

Wow, the ending was devastating. It makes you wonder if it's really worth saving up to get the Sony Fx3. I'm not sure if the blurry images of the ZVE1 correspond to autofocus failures. I have the Fx6, and I have noticed that with manual focus, everything looks much more perfect. Even so, I have also seen very clear recordings of the ZVE1 on RU-vid. Friend, I like your use of light and shadow. Da Vinci Resolve, Xavc I 10 bits?. Greetings, I'm Ronald from Chile, follower of your YT channel.

why was it devastating? I have not really had blurry images with the ZV-E1 and I find it to be very good on the auto focus. I definitely think the FX3 is worth it, but again, it depends on the intended use. Thank you for your complements. Yes to all of the above.

I would say the FX3 (which is the a7s3 in a different body). But then again; they serve different purposes. For long running shootings and situations where you need a bigger setup, the ZV-E1 isn’t the best. But for travel 💯
