Separate mask and fischer lovebirds, cross breeding produce low quality lovebird. I think you can see the result..

When we used to breed cockatiels we used to wait about 18 months for the hens to mature, but the males we waited anytime from 12 months old and in the bottom of the nest boxes we would put about 2 inch layer of sawdust in the bottom when the hen is laying she scoops an hollow out and the eggs all stop together. Plus the hen will not start sitting the eggs until the last egg is laid going onto the lovebirds once you start putting the grasses in do that for only 3-4 days because if you keep putting grasses in after that then they will just keep building the nest on top of the eggs that they have laid burying the eggs just a thought Dexter that’s what we did. 👌👌🙏🙏

Yes you need patient if you want to breed any kind of parrot or budgie, my Budgie Breed & lay egg after 1yr.

When I raised Lady Gouldian Finches I also kept several same-sex (male/male) pairs of Society Finches. They would incubate eggs & foster any babies that the Gouldian Finches abandoned. That would occasionally happen if the natural parents were too young and/or inexperienced (under 1 year -18 months old). I chose male/male coupled “foster parents” because two females would lay their own infertile eggs in the nest and it’s very difficult to distinguish between the eggs of both species. I made the mistake of using a same-sex, both female pair of Zebra Finches as foster parents. I soon realized my mistake and although they were good at raising babies I could only put already hatched chicks in their nest. Their eggs are also very similar to the Gouldian’s. There was definitely a learning curve involved in breeding such small, delicate but also very colorful Australian birds! Privacy and solitude is the key, they don’t seem to breed in large, community cages.

Good setup but in ur lovebird cage one of the box in your cage has 4 chicks, there is no nesting in the box and it cause sploit leg babies which will be very pain full for u if the grow after 2 months. Plz place at least 2 inches of soft wood shafls in box

hi deexter bit of kind advice i notice u have metal perch in the cockateil cage big no no as bird sits it can get chill in feet get sick cause it to die i have seen it happen beutiful major mitchell gta chill in its feet couldnt stand any more died so please becarful with metal it stays cold if its out of the sun not good for birds wood only
