@EndlessUre It’s “lose yourself” and that’s great. I recommend songs like Stan, Kill You, Criminal, The Way I Am, and Cleaning Out My Closet If you like hard lyrical controversial rap. If you’re more of a pop type maybe Not Afraid, Monster, Love The Way You Lie, Beautiful. If you like humorous rap Real Slim Shady, Without Me. Maybe story telling with Mocking Bird, When I’m Gone. Also og songs like My Name Is, Rock Bottom, Just Don’t Give A F. He has all types of rap albums and songs that most people will enjoy.
@mike353

@EndlessUre Yeah he is a great word smith. There are rappers that just say random stuff without much meaning just because it sounds cool. But Eminem has always been a true artist in his ability to rhyme and tell a story, he’s like the modern day Shakespeare. Fun fact the word Stan originated from his song Stan about an obsessed fan and was put into the dictionary. Welcome to the Stan club 👍

Definitely check out '8 mile' - it's loosely based on Em's life. Thanks for your reaction to one of THEE best rap songs in history. And it's songs like THIS that make Eminem THEE GOAT! No-one can surpass his vocabulary, double/triple entendres, rhyming schemes - the man is a human dictionary/thesaurus. More Em please - dive into that extremely deep rabbit hole! Not Afraid is another excellent example of his legendary storytelling rap ability - Cleanin Out My Closet, SpaceBound, Stan, I Need A Doctor, The Way I Am, Sing For The Moment, RAPGOD....the list is endless. IMO 'Darkness' is his Masterpiece - untouchable on every level.

I'm not much for rap, there are very few rap songs I like, but when this song came out, even I was impressed! He's quite the lyricist, he plays with syllables making words and phrases rhyme that shouldn't! I'm impressed with Eminem's music even though I don't really want to be!🤣😂

Easily my favorite Eminem song. Definitely very encouraging, motivating, and complex. If you see the movie "8 Mile" that features this song and stars Eminem and Mekhi Phifer, you'll see even more relevance and references he makes in the song. Plus, the instrumentals in this song are iconic.

The big difference between Marshall and so many others is that you can actually hear what he's saying. Now PLEASE listen to ''Stan'' - the long version. Another excellent story being told.

He really pours his heart out in this song and as a fellow creative person I feel it. Peace, light and love to all, stay safe, keep strong and we will all get through this together.

Not completely true though, Eminem is releasing the best albums around still himself. Also many new artists from recent years are just as good as old rap we grew up listening to, you not heard the likes of Hopsin? very inspired by Eminem himself.

You're making me feel really old right now. I've listened to Eminem since the late 90s. Hell I grew up only a couple of miles from where he lived and remember when infinite came out in 96. I was young (37 now) but I remember hearing the song from some older kids and liking it. I've paid attention to his music ever since.
