Love the posting date on that! ‘‘Twas my birthday!! Haven’t commented before, but I’m a huge fan! Lost a limb less than a year ago, and like I recently told that Spencer guy I watch as well, I look forward to the posts that basic down to earth people like yourself, him, and that Ty guy put out! It helps a ton to see first hand the stupid silly little things that go along with being a fisherman that I miss.. It’ll happen again I know, but my Old Town yak won’t see my butt for a while.. The simplicities of nature is what’s missed for now.. But while I’m cooped up in these four walls, I’ll stay tuned.. So a huge thank you man!!!
@@TheJaymon1962 It’s ironic, one of my long time idols used to be known as J-Man… No joke… He is an old soul that taught me a lot in a short amount of time…
Great video. Carp are my favorite freshwater fish to catch the fight is unreal. I live in New York and I go to kissena park just about everyday. The problem with using night crawlers is there are are a lot of tiny bluegill in there. There are also big largemouth bass crappie carp and bullheads. Caught carp over 20 lbs in there. Lots of fun.
Where I grew up you could park By the bridge and fish the local river. I didn’t know all of the landowners but no one ever got upset about a kid walking through their land with a fishing pole. But also me and my circle that I fished with had respect for the land and the water. We didn’t litter we weren’t loud or obnoxious. It was a great place to grow up in the outdoors. I haven’t fished there in several years but wonder if it is still like that. If I owned land on a river I would let people fish through as long as they could respect nature. Where I live now most streams are fenced at private land boundaries. Luckily there is plenty of public land to fish from nearby.
Looks like a great sandbar to set up tent, for a night or 2. I agree with you on the parking though that would be on my mind the hole time.. Thanks for another fun video..👍✌️
I keep a pole holder off to the side just for my casting rod for when I get bit on the bait rods I will put my reel in the sand unless it’s a crazy bite lmao. Great channel. Keep it up bro
Thank you for helping me figure out my next tattoo idea. I was born and raised In Wyoming and moved to AZ when I was 21, I have been going back and forth trying to corporate my hometown to my home now, I’ll be getting both state fishes on my calves! A little tougher now that I’m in az but I still get it done! Thanks Josh for all your videos and your awesome soul! Your my fav fisherman on the tube 🎉🎉. No matter how busy I get I make sure to hop on just to watch your videos big dawg!!! Keep on fishing on my guy 🎣🤘🏽🙏🏽
Used to live in Nebraska in the Lincoln area. I imagine you have fished it but I’ll try and send you the waypoint for a epic creek with flatheads if you want.
Awsome vid! I would say that in most regions in the USA grass carp are not an invasive species. Asian carp on the other hand are. Keep up the great work.
My state fish (Nevada) happens to be the world biggest species of cutthroat trout. The lahontan cutthroat trout. The state and world record is around 41 lbs. we also have giant lake trout, I’m told, in Lake Tahoe.
Keep getting it Stache-Meister. Gotta ask a quick question though. I know ya hate killing carp, that said; you love river kitties. Have you thought about a quick rough filet of said carp? Just to chunk it out, on your way out of the hole, and toss it into the river for your river kitties? Feeds em up well, aaand keeps down the invasive species. Btw the carcass after the filet process makes great fertilizer.
I don't know about Nebraska but here in Texas if it has water flowing through it for more than 65% of the year is considered a public waterway and it's public from lower Bank to high Bank
Caught a bunch of small Flatheads that size. Most were that yellow or brighter. Favorite was a cow colored one. Black and whiteish on top and a darker brown on the belly.
I agree with those comments that say destroy any Carp you catch. In nearly every state it is illegal to return a Carp to the water once taken since they are an invasive species.
I always just leave a note on my windshield with my phone number to call if there is a parking issue like my car had problems. At least it gives me an option to know what's going on and talk my way out of a tow. Most people I find are pretty cool with that.
Nothing was a pretty nice spot that you was at I like that when you cast it out and said your pole in the holder and it wasn't no time and you had a frathead good job on all the fish that you caught the car the front head and the channel good job keep it up keep fishing and I'll keep watching videos you're awesome you're an awesome RU-vidr and your name is Josh just like mine you're awesome
Leaving those carp gives birds and small scavengers like opossum skunks martins racoons and others a meal. I throw them into brushy areas or under some shade.
I went fishing this morning. Channels and smallies weren’t interested but perch and rock bass were fire. I went all artificial, should have changed it up
Dude I feel that should of changed it up, nothing all morning, then I bush wacked a new way, and got a nice trout first cast , soon as it hit the water
The other side was definitely deeper imo just based on the vertical rip rap compared to your descending sand bar.how many poles you allowed to fish at one time in Nebraska btw?
Nah man nothing wrong in cathing carp. i am from eu and we do it alot over here beause its an awesome fish and gives a good fight. so yeah would love to see carp fishing. :D
Good thing about the stratix is that it can be completely disassembled cleaned and reassembled and work perfectly bayu with common tools do not put grease in it use Vaseline Vaseline helps keep the water out
Check with the town or city hall and they can usually tell you whether or not if it's private or public. Sometimes contact information for access permission. Not worth loosing the wheels Stacheman. That looks like a really good place for pre-spawn fishing. Always liking the vids! Tight lines.
