Yo If you really want to know lore wise he's an AU version of bf called yourself who's gf(herself)died and he might be in Denial about it,the song is also his nickname that she gave him as on the youtube thumbnail and another piece of art it says "she called me silly billy" and "she calls me silly billy" he's also wanted/on the run presumably due to gf dying(cause isnt known yet)the explanation as to why he looks that way why is he let himself go and he's on the run presumably not having alot of time to take care of himself also gf is somehow possessing his mic but he doesn't know. The song itself is a tribute to divide one of the og sonic.exe v2 devs

To anyone who wanted to know who divided was he was the person who helped make and create Faker Sonic also known as black sun from vs Sonic.EXE version 2 and the character who looks like BF from an alternate universe is named "Yourself" The animation intro sequence you saw there with the character was originally going to be in the 3.5 update, but since that mod sadly got canceled this song specifically as well as the animation intro got put into hit singles as a tribute to divide as he Sadly passed away in his sleep from cancer when version 2 was almost finished "Yourself" sings lyrics in saying "I'll make you say how proud you are of me so “Stay Awake” just long enough to see my way." And that deeply refers to divide.

This mod was a tribute to a mod creator named Divide, he was the guy that MADE the original sonic exe fnf mod and he later passed 3 years before this mod... R. I. P. But the worst is now that he isnt part of the sonic exe team the team made sunky that literally jumped and shat on his beautiful artwork, i cant believe the disrespect his team did after getting buried 6 feet underground 😭

So basicaly this version of boyfriend called yourself lives in a parallel universe where girlfriend called herself died in a tragic accident thats why u see yourself in this state because he couldnt handel the loss of herself but yourself hasnt lost her completely in the opening cutscene when boyfriend gets pushed back by the mic the mic was red thats why theres a theory her spirit remains in yourself his mic also in the mid song cutscene when yourself sing long enough to see u see her spirit and if u listen very carefully u hear her singing the lyrics long enough to see. In the lyrics yourself isnt singing to boyfriend but rather to herself you hear him asking if she is proud of him

Well, actually, and I'm no FNF lore person but this is what i've read from other comments, but Boyfriend is actually canonically as tall as the AU Boyfriend (Yourself/Silly Billy), but he's the size that we all know and see him as because of some reason from the creator.

The lore about this mod is the boyfriend from this universe lost his girlfriend some how (we really don't know) but this caused boyfriend to grow insane..but it turns out her spirit is still with him (thats why at the start the mic was glowing red cause thats girlfirend's soul) but at the singing part where he says just long enough. if you pause at that exact time you can see girlfriend's soul still at his side.(and i think because she died he gained some of her powers i think.)

Ok, so here is the lore, is in this universe "he" is the conical size of boyfriend (yes, the person who you fight is the real boyfriend) and what happend was his version of girlfriend passed away and he can't cope with it (hence why he looks like that he didn't take care of himself) and since he is the real boyfriend he can change shape (don't worry about that part) but in the lyrics he is actually talking to girlfriend because part of her spirit is still with him and he wouldn't let go of her and if you watch the lyrics and look at the red aura doing the song that's actually girlfriend's spirit (this version of boyfriend will not hurt the one you are playing as) and he wants to make girlfriend proud before she fully leaves,and that's the lore of the vs yourself mod for fnf.

That is an alternate version of boyfriend from a different universe whose version of girlfriend died, and now lives in his microphone. You can hear her singing with him for a few seconds during the red flash at the lyrics part. This is just what he became when he couldn’t get over losing her.

His name is yourself, yourself has lost girlfriend in a huge accident and he basically became depressed and stopped taking care of himself and that’s why he looks like this. The reason he is tall is because boyfriend is not actually tiny, he is very tall in life. And when yourself turned “boyfriends size” is to show that you that yourself is boyfriend. (When yourself says “long” in the solo and you pause it at the right moment you can see girlfriend) (I also forgot girlfriend name in the other verse ;-;)❤

The tall messed up looking bf is called Silly Billy (Herself gave him that nickname) or “Yourself” Something really bad happened to Herself so Yourself lost everything and he’s essentially telling boyfriend, “keep her safe, I want her to be proud of you. This is an awesome mod and I love its ability to have different styles for the most part in some songs. Hey, listen, dont be against trying Marios madness. I know its like, a horror mod, but i gotta be honest, its way more story based than trying to be scary. Also like, i think more than half the songs are actually "spooky" so if thats what you dont like then go ahead, but I REALLY think you should give it a shot.
