"All of these songs are so beautiful! Now I'll listen to Five Fingers to the Face" 🤣🤣🤣 It's an accurate representation of the show's humor. Victorious is a mix of bangers with weird or awkward humor and a plot that doesn't matter.
Apparently if the show did continue I heard they could have gotten together. However if the show was airing today or came back. We know Tori & Jade would have gotten together. I mean Jade has a soft spot for Tori and only let her & Beck touch her
@@littlesparrow303revisiting victorious as a older teen/young adult now instead of being a kid makes you realize the subtext of many weird and especially gay scenes
You're not wrong about the theme song, you don't expect something slow, and actually the theme song is not slow, it's because it's sung in the first episode and it's the first time the main character, Tori, is on stage, so it's slow because she's kinda scared. The later part of the song is more like the actually theme song!
Actually it’s not slow because she’s scared. I mean she is but the reason she sings slowly at first is because the song was originally a ballad sung by Trina. Tori speed it up because she knew it would sound better.
There’s another version of ‘Make it Shine’ that both Andre and Tori (the two characters in ‘Song to You’ and ‘Tell me that you Love Me’) sing and imo it’s better than the original. I think you’d enjoy it:)
A fun quirk about Victorious is that it really embraces its mission statement. All the characters go to a performing arts school so things are just gonna be wacky and weird. But the creators also had a lot of fun with it too, like how the background characters are often seen wearing insane hats and costumes but you don't even really notice
So, five fingers to the face is supposed to be more of a "talk to the hand" sort of thing, since that was a popular saying in the nineties. It's also cool that you started the video with the first song of the series and ended it with the last song of the series.
Victorious has a lot of bangers so I would love to see a part 3😊 Here are some more songs that you should check out: - Freak the Freak Out - LA Boyz - Leave it all to shine (collab with the iCarly cast, it's from a crossover episode) - Best Friend's Brother - You're The Reason
Fun fact about Andre (The Guy who's usual singing with Tori), his actor Leon Thomas III is also a songwriter and producer and he's writing a few songs for Ariana Grande
About what you said about Victorious coming from the 'victory' line of the theme song, you're not totally wrong, but actually it's because the girl's name is Tori, so VicToriOus. (Plus the actress name is Victoria, so double pun ahaha...) It's actually highlighted in the theme song if you watch it!
“Tell Me That You Love Me” gives nostalgic vibes because it’s extremely reminiscent of Sara Bareilles’ first album/singles. “You Don’t Know Me” you hit on the head. It’s very 2000s-P!nk-type.
Hope you make a part three, ‘cause I remember the Christmas song where Ariana, Elizabeth and Victoria sing together and I remember it amazing I could be wrong but just their voices together was a whole experience ✨
i don’t really like their christmas song tbh. It sounds like all three of them recorded the same song and they just edited it in poorly for the show and it doesn’t sound good also when victoria justice is being pushed to the front when ariana and liz have actual good christmas songs on ariana’s christmas album and just better vocals
I know I didn't watch a ton of Victorious so if I missed it well oops but I swear they should've given Leon Thomas III (main guy who was singing in Song to You) more times to sing. I love his voice so much, but I feel like he didn't get as many good song opportunities as he should've. And to answer your question: "What is this show about??" Like, 50% teenage drama, 40% good songs, and 10% acid trip making you wonder if any of the actors were warned of this in their contracts XD
Victorious is literally about a performing arts high school or something like that. Basically everyone there has talent, either instrument wise or vocally (or both). The brown haired girl in most videos is the main character, and she got into the school with that first song you played, the theme song. That was her audition to get into the school if I remember correctly. There are so many songs because most of the episodes have a song or two.
I have no clue why watching these made me tear up during each song, but it was so nice to watch and my heart is bursting with nostalgia and my appreciation for all these songs being relived again 🥹🥹 love you Mattttt
you have to listen to "finally falling" that tori and beck sing, is so beautiful and, man, watching these videos reacting to victorious is bringing me so many memories and im here for it 😭
I’m so happy you ended the video with Elizabeth’s “You don’t know me” it’s easily one of my favorite Victorious songs fun fact Elizabeth wrote the song for her character Jade West to express herself to her bf Beck
I never associated Michael Buble and Sara Bareilles before this video, so I learned that about myself today. But the plotline of kids choosing to do what is difficult not out of pride but out of love is not done enough. Which makes "You don't know me" my favorite song from this show.
I think the coolest thing about Victoria's voice is actually listening to her more recent, independent things. She sounds AMAZING, and it's quite an interesting shift from the pop vibes the show gives her.
thanks for taking my suggestions from the last video! here are some more if you want to continue this journey for more comedic songs: broken glass favorite food sad news songs chicago for more serious songs: freak the freak out finally falling you’re the reason best friend’s brother
Tell Me That You Love Me was always a fave from this show. I didnt think it would ever be in a video ngl. I always thought it was slept on. Great video man
YES I'm so glad you got more of my top songs! Song 2 U, Tell Me That You Love Me, and You Don't Know me are so good! You should check out the full versions of all of them! I also highly recommend "Countdown" by Loen and Victoria (Same two who did Tell Me That You Love Me and Song 2 U!) It really shows off Leon's vocal skills and Victoria's harmonies! Another one is "All Okay" by Elizabeth Gillies! It's like a 1 minute clip but in my opinion it's the best song on the show, and she sounds incredible! I love that you're doing these videos and acknowledging that this isn't the type of music you'd normally go out of your way to listen to, but it's still amazing! Music appreciation is SO important and there are so many hidden gems wrapped up in images that can turn people away and I love that you're breaking that wall down and exposing yourself (and potentially viewers who also have never heard these songs before!) to new sounds and styles! It's awesome!! Also, having grown up with this show, yeah...trying to figure out wtf is happening in pretty much any scene is pretty futile. I've seen all of these episodes I don't even know how many times over so I know exactly what the episodes were about and what the context is, and it's still so out of left field lol. Without that context just makes it even more hilarious. This show was...something else for sure 😂
"Victorious" is about the teenager Tori (Victoria Justice) who, after discovering her hidden talent of singing, attends the "Hollywood Arts" talent school. There she makes friends who all have different talents. One, for example, is a ventriloquist. The show often features talent shows, karaoke nights, and parties where Tori and her friends sing. Her dream is to become a pop star. Unfortunately, we don't know if her dream ever came true as the show was canceled after four seasons without a proper finale. The story just ends on a normal school day for her and her friends... Still one of my favorite shows.💜
I think "five fingers to the face" isnt actually in contact with anyones face. Its a sassy hand out stop movement to be like "boy, yo better not come any closer", a bit like the "oh no yo di' n't" OTT finger wiggle that people always used to do.
Lmfao what makes this funnier is that he doesn't realize how iconic five fingers to the face is. Like we where waiting on a full version of that for the LONGEST time 😭💀
These videos are great. And there are still so many more songs you'd probably love: Countdown, Shut Up and Dance, (It's Not) Christmas Without You, etc
The Great Ping-pong Scam is about a group of characters named, Beck, Cat, Robbie, Andre and Jade. But Jade made it just to joke around. When the ping-pong game comes around they just go to this expensive restaurant and the main character sings to pay for the meal. Edit: Jade and Beck are bf and gf.
The guy who plays Andre has written some really famous songs in pop music today, lots of Ariana grande songs and I’m sure sza and a bunch of other artists he’s so great
I love Elizabeth Gillies she is one of my favorite singers of all time. She actually did a show called dynasty (the newest one), where they let her sing so many great song! Maybe you can check that out as well! I loved your reaction❤
Firstly how did you stll not listen to Freak the Freak out? Secondly Elizabeth SLAYS with her singning. My favorite will always be when she sang "It's all okay". A shame we fid not get to ger her sing it all BUT there is a version in which she sings with whom she later ended up with. Anyway these are my recomendations!🥳🥰
You gotta listen to more of Liz's stuff, she sang some fun covers in a show called Dynasty, there's also a song she wrote for that show. Her voice is so fucking good!
I was hoping for You Don’t Know Me since you haven’t reacted to it the last time and it’s one of the most famous songs from the show and was losing hope towards the end but relieved to see you did react to it 😂
You should check out the "leave it all to shine" performance, when they gatherd the casts of icarly and victorious and sung a mashup of their opening songs!
Okay, the timing couldn't be more perfect. I just watched the first part of this, and saw that you uploaded the second one as well. Also, how did you still not include "Freak the Freak Out" tho? Maybe in part 3??
I believe “Five Fingers to the Face” is talking about the gesture like ‘Speak to the hand”. So no physical contact, but that late 90-early 2000s mean girl flair and comebacks
Sam is a character from iCarly, it's the blonde one. Ariana Grande was in a "sequel" series with Sam from iCarly. And Elizabeth Gillies' character is named Jade!
