Killer Mike just expressed how I feel as a Black man. It's amazing how much our early lives mirrored each other. I grew up in a Black city, Detroit, lived a middle class life, went to Black schools and had many positive Black teacher influences. Further went to on to an HBCU, FAMU. I saw and was initially surprised by the level of Black excellence that surrounded me, that came from everywhere. Just like Killer Mike, I love being Black and being around my people that aren't about that bullshit stereotypical Black life crap. We are king and Queens who have allowed other to dent and knock the shine off our crowns.
