I have viewed other videos, and the drop cloth is washed first in real hot water even bleached to whiten the fabric. Maybe when you wash it with fabric softener, the factory smell will go away . I like the finished look

Thank you so much!!!! After a few weeks you do have to re-adjust it by taking off the pins and pulling it again. The longevity depends on how rough you may be with it Hope that helps🫶🏻

I love the color. But I agree maybe different color pillows. and just a suggestion how about tucking in the corners (the outer edges of the sofa) through the inside if that makes any sence??? Lol

I'm definitely going to try it. We have three major pieces of furniture now, all different colors, and I think I'll use drop cloths on the sofa and love seat and a pop of a color with a sheet on the chair and ottoman. Your mentioning the smell gave me the idea to let the cloth be outside in the sunshine for a few days before putting it on. I hope that will do the trick. My daughter is highly sensitive to smells.

I have a sectional I want to do this to but after watching a few of these, I think I'd take all the cushions and pillows *off* and just drop cloth the basic frame of the sofa. Then, I think I'd slip cover the cushions and pillows separately. More work maybe, but I think I can no-sew those. I like it all except for the way the pillows look like they're "trapped" -- like in a sausage casing. Another idea is to just take your couch pillows/cushions *out* and have a two-toned sofa. ?? I don't know. Good work though and excellent job hanging in there on a job that was harder than it looks!

It held up well actually! I had to re-adjust the fabric every so often because my son would jump on the sofa lol washed a few times, put it back on and kept it. I think it did it’s job

I feel like it came out nice you just need some darker pillows to pop off the color of the cloth. Otherwise I didn’t think I would like it but I do. Good job.

Oh heck no. Id just buy a new couch, sit on the floor or use what I have. The couch looks nice as is. There is no way I'd go through that every time you have to wash it.
