Back then there was also heat but people ignored it. Now that people dont ignore it it gets more attention and views if we just all ignore it it gets less views and less attention. So they would probaly stop and we would get a better community.(im not good in englisch so sorry if I wrote anything wrong) Edit: and more people joined it because it got many many views etc.
The reason more people did gacha heat is this ; so they started gacha heat, and they weren't paid much attention really so they were fine then. Its the gacha polices fault. They made videos of stuff liek "Sending gacha heaters to jail" and more ppl saw them and it made them do more gacha heat and then this happened.

Heat did exist we just didn’t know about it because gacha was underground but now that gacha is more known and famous gacha youtubers are now talking about it you know about it so the same thing was happening to inform you there was good and bad stuff of 2018 so #stopgachaheat 👍
