I just made your bread recipe.😋 I used whole wheat flour and I replaced the olive oil with unsweetened applesauce. It is delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
It truly is Amazing I tried it and I love it! I didn’t have self rising flour so I made mine with all purpose flour teaspoon and a half of baking soda quarter teaspoon of salt and then I didn’t have vanilla yogurt, but I had peach yogurt and I was so determined to try this recipe that I use the peach yogurt cup and 3/4 as you saidit all came out amazing. It is so delicious. I love that you show us how to make things with one or two ingredients and it comes out absolutely great thank you for showing us these recipes.
This is Irish soda bread! My family made it with buttermilk, flour, salt, and baking soda. Glad you’re helping more folks discover its tastiness. Edit to add, you’re such a pleasure to watch! I feel like I’m in the kitchen with a family member or a good friend.
That's all she had to say, and I was on board. And if it ends up being cheaper than buying the cheapest bread in my store, I'll make it b/c I'll have to start making my own bread soon to survive anyways. Hopefully. If we can just make it three and a half more months with this economy....
Hi Pam. This was my first attempt to bake in ten years since I got sick. It sounded so easy I wanted to surprise my family. The shape isn't exactly right and it's slightly burnt on the bottom. But my first attempt is yummy. Thank you for giving me a little bit of my kitchen life back.
I just made this bread and it came out so good. It is soft and hearty. For those of you asking about baking time, Miss Pam says to preheat and bake at 425F for 30 mins then lower temp to 375F, cover loaf in foil, and bake for another 30 mins. My oven browned the bread a bit too much for my liking, so I might cover loaf in foil at the 15 minute mark next time. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you, Miss Pam!
Yes, I wish I had read the tip before I made this. Mine was over browned also. Will follow your tip next time, but this bread recipe tastes DELICIOUS!!! ❤️❤️😍😍🥰🥰
My mom used to also make a pesto with such ingredients. She used sun dried tomatoes and cook in a little olive oil with the basil, thyme rosemary and minced garlic and I think she used a bit of tomato paste as well she used itss as a spread for sandwiches she could make it green or red. I never made it homemade like my mom did. It was one of those things only mom makes lol. I never learned how to make it. As I moved on into the world to fend for myself I noticed they sold pesto in jars and containers and so I didn’t have to call my mom to ask her how to make it I just bought it already made lol
Tips my mother taught me: - Mix with a fork to evenly distribute the salt, baking powder & sugar in the flour. - just like cinnamon bread mix the seasoning in with the wet for even distributed taste. - Lightly knock the pan’s bottom in a teeter totter way against the counter top to make a level top. Thanks for the recipe! Love your videos. Have blessed day
I love seeing what other mom’s handed down tips. My mom wasn’t a bread baker. zucchini or banana bread was it…lol Her baking was pies at TGiving. Or run to our bakery 5 miles away LOL. Her tip that would apply here is to sift ALL dry goods together.
It appears you have a convection oven. Do time/ temperature stay the same for a regular oven? Can I make this in my toaster oven and how do I change cooking time for the smaller pan?
I tried this recipe using Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Flour, Soy Milk, and corn free baking powder due to my husband's odd diet at the moment and it turned out absolutely wonderful!! Can't wait to try it with the regular ingredients. Thank you, Miss Pam!!!!
I made this bread recipe TODAY , AND my husband and I were delighted with the results. My husband says, "It is GREAT 😃"It really is Home made, and we followed the directions, exactly 💯. You are such an inspiring person. Thanks 👍 be to GOD for your channel, and profound thoughts.
Hello, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, love , and peace all over the world 🌏. I would love us to be good friends in honesty and in trust so as time goes on it will bring something great for us in the future, hope you don't mind? I'm Johnson Gabriel from Oslo Norway, where are you from if I may ask????❤
😂😂 that’s because I either keep foil on the bottom rack or I sit my dish on another larger tray to catch anything. I didn’t do those this time because I bake this bread all time so I figured I wouldn’t need anything. Thanks
Great ideas. I thought I was the only one putting foil on the bottom shelf of the oven and or using larger oven trays to catch spills. My sister had me thinking I was suffering from OCD mental issues 😊😊😊😊
This is my favorite recipe from Pam! She had posted it a while back. A lot of my family members require gluten free food. Well, gluten free bread is EXPENSIVE. I make this recipe using gluten free all purpose flour (Great Value). The result is like Pam says, "Amazing!"
Gluten free you say? The measurements are the same? I'm on Keto. That should work for me. Weelll, I should admit, I'm a lazy Keto. 😃 But this Pam bread is top notch. I really want to try it,
Everything I’ve tried gluten free has been a brick I’ve tried different flours. 😂for cakes and pancakes this looks fairly unscrewable. Was your bread dense my baked goods seem to always be dense
Thank you for this video. I stopped buying “store bought” bread several months ago. What’s crazy is I’m not a baker. Pam, you have a way to encourage us so that “we can do it”! I must admit, I have had to modify the amount of flour I keep on hand. Just stocked up and put back 40 more pounds of flour. Also purchased wheat to grind if/when that day arises. I’ve learned so many wonderful things here. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Pam, first time viewer here...I am a bread maker myself, but I am loving the idea of fresh bread with no yeast and no rise time! BTW-love your style!
Pam, I cannot watch any of your videos without a big smile on my face. Your friendly manner, beautiful smile, and total class appeal to me so much! Thank you for making my day, and God bless you!
Absolutely agree. Plus you have an incredibly beautiful voice! I love to watch and listen. Can’t wait to try these recipes. I want to stop buying bread from the store.
I made a loaf of this bread today & it was fantastic!! It has a very Crispy/Crunchy texture on the outside & is very tender on the inside. I think it’s basically an Irish Soda Bread recipe. Next time I‘ll add a bit more salt but other than that, it was delicious. I was thinking next time I might add some minced Scallions & shredded Cheddar Cheese. I made my sweet, hard working man a big pot of Italian sausage, Peppers & White Beans for dinner to go with this fresh loaf of bread. Thx for sharing Miss Pam!
@@juliettamartinez5191 Oh my goodness! What a lovely compliment. Well, most of my meals are like “mad science projects” haha. I generally don’t use a recipe & just make it up as I go, but I will do my best to recall what I did! It actually turned out fantastic & my honey was very pleased. Pam, you are the cutest!! I am new to your channel and absolutely love it! I made this bread, but instead of the everything bagel on top I stirred in 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds and 2 tablespoons of sunflower seed kernels. Oh my goodness...so delicious!! This recipe is a definite keeper. Thank you for your wonderful content! 💚
I'm literally running to my kitchen NOW Pam...can't thank you enough for THIS recipe...we ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ fresh bread, but I'm so tired of cleaning my mixer and waiting all day for it to rise twice before baking...you have a fellow everything bagel lover here too, so I can actually make your exact recipe right now!!! Thank you so much and GOD BLESS.
I was scouring my brain for the same thing! 😂 I do know Victorias Kitchen developed a flour that is Amazingly Keto. I don't see why it wouldn't work in Pams recipe. 🤔
Thank you Pam for this easy and delicious bread recipe.. I have bad wrists from doing nails for 30 yrs. It's so hard to kneed bread anymore. I'll be sure making my home made bread agian thanks to you!
Hello Pam, you are such a soft spoken woman! Can't wait to try your bread recipe! It looks sooooo delicious! Stay safe and blessed! Thank you for sharing your recipes with us!
Hi Pam! This is the first video of yours Ive watched! It looked so simple and straightforward that I felt I could tackle it! I was able to put it together with my kids and during dinner preparation as well! I just pulled it out and we're letting it cool. It looks great! thanks so much for the inspiration and the lovely, kind character you exude. ❤ Much love from a homestead in Idaho.
😢 Ooh!!! I would love to see your beautiful homestead. You're truly living the dream. We're saving up to buy our land, so we haven't even gotten started. Much love to you!
I made this bread this afternoon…. Easy & delicious. I couldn’t wait til dinner to get into it. Nothing better than hot fresh bread with Irish butter!!!!! Thanks Pam!!!!
Last week we visited our daughter, about to make dinner she said she was out of bread, with no time to bake a standard loaf I suggested she bake an Irish sida bread, an identical recipe to this one. Worked like a champ and we had it with our dinner. Way to go Pam.
I am an absolute newbie to your channel. I watched this video & immediately subscribed for 2 reasons. #1 this easy bread recipe looks amazing & I will most definitely be making! #2 your presence, candor & beautiful personality drew me in instantly. I can't wait to now binge your other videos. Thank you for sharing, you are a gem. Stay blessed 🙏🙌🇨🇦
I would have never attempted to make bread, but you made this process look so easy to make, it's going to be a treat for my family. Thank you for sharing with so much love ❤️
I used to think the same thing about bread. But then i did it. Which was scary without having been taught and before the internet but i followed directions and it worked.
I never watch cooking videos. Cooking is not something I enjoy doing because I was never really taught or shown. But for some reason I came across your video and decided to watch. Miss Pam, you now have another fan and I'm going to actually make your bread recipe. You just seem to have a sweet soul and watching your videos makes me feel like I can do it. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with me.❤️❤️
Pam, I am so glad I came across your videos because you take your time to speak to your viewers and explain everything to perfection and I can read your ingredients at the bottom of the page where most people do not list. Thank you so much retired and still learning ❤
Grand Rising and Shalom! This is perfect! I am not a baker but I love bread and I have been frustrated with the price of bread for awile now! This is one of the most valuable sources of bread making info that I have seen! I bought my bread pans about a year or so ago! Divine intervention happened from The Most High when this video popped up today! I was watching a baptism video from Elder Ahyal ban Ephraim's channel, and scrolled down a bit, and there you were, Sis, with your beautiful smile and that beautiful bread! My spirit said, "🎉👏🏾🎶🎺Alleluia, Father! Thank you!" Thanks, Sis! I so appreciate you! 🤍💙🙂💞
Thanks, Pam! New subscriber here ... from Newcastle, Australia. This bread recipe sounds delicious & simple. I look forward to trying it. I agree with all those who have commented on your pretty face & sincerely friendly smile, & you have a sweet, welcoming voice to boot! Thank you. Please stay safe & well.
@@CookingAtPamsPlace Thanks ..I use butter in my Biscuits and Cornbread ..sometimes..so seems like it’ll work! Love your Heart Shaped Pot …Gift …from Walmart! I’m been a loyal Walmart Customer for Years and they’ve always been fair with me! 😊
One of my favorite finds ever (I buy one for everyone) is a danish dough whisk. It mixes just about everything, brownies…cookies….quick breads (I use it for my yeast breads before Kneading). It is my go to! This looks delicious btw!
Oh I’ve never seen a danish dough whisk (I don’t think 🤔) oh I need to come with you so you can show me what to do 😂😂 I just looked it up and yep you have told me something. Lol. I have seen them but have never owned or used one. They look interesting and fun. ❤️
Thank you Pam, I have been trying to make homemade bread with the yeast, and every time it was a mess so went back to buying bread. You are a lifesaver you have saved the day, and I can be able to go and make my own bread without the yeast and all that other mess😂
I love bread, but haven't made any because of all of the steps and waiting! Now you post this easy recipe! God, please don't let me get addicted to making and EATING this bread too often. 🙏🏿
This reminds me of baking powder biscuits but who would’ve thought to make it into a loaf. Genius Pam. I’m going to try it for dinner tonight with a slight adjustment - buttermilk bread - by adding a ½ tsp of baking soda and substituting the milk for buttermilk. Hope it works. Thank you for such a great idea.
I had to add more buttermilk and next I’ll increase the salt. As it was, we sprinkled salt on top of it after buttering and it was perfect. Other than that they turned out great.
Stumbled across your channel today and soooo glad I did! 40 some years ago I used to bake bread, but at 76 it is too much trouble for one person. I am definitely going to try this recipe! It looks so easy.
Saw your video yesterday. Made my first loaf last night and another today.....this time in my cast iron fry pan. My husband loves this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I can't find the measurements of the baking powder, salt and sugar, the oil and milk also. I'm itching to make this bread, it looks so good, so anybody that knows, PLEASE HELP ME!
@debbysmith3003 hi the recipe is in the video 'description' which you can click on just above 'comments' then scroll down below her links. I hope this helps!

This is my first time watching Cooking At Pam’s Place and I’m already hooked! Great recipe! I’ll try it when I’m watching my grandkids. I look forward to checking out more of Pam’s videos.
Battling some seasonal depression and here you are gorgeous and delightful as ever! Thank you for that smile and positivity you've pulled me out if this funk ❤
Hi Miss Pam! As a first time viewer & new subscriber, thank you for such an easy and yummy bread recipe! Ive never attempted to make bread till now, thanks to you. You have such an amazing smile & personality! ❤
I know right, not only does Miss Pam have a beautiful smile and happy personality but her skin is glowing too. Just so beautiful! Will definitely try the bread recipe too. I strongly dislike kneeing bread!
I wouldn't be giving stock advice in a video like this but then I would say you do not make the mistake of doing things by yourself. My stock portfolio is a managed one and I do not try to dabble in unfamiliar territories. My portfolio has grown by over 300k even in the present economy
My favorite part of every chef cooking on here is when we get the chance to see them try it. That first reaction to their creation is so important to me and I suppose everyone waiting for the taste test part. ❤
Oh my gosh, that looks like the things for me! I have always wanted to bake bread but I do not know the certain feel of the dough and don't care to trial and error it out. This recipe is perfect for my fantasy of baking really good bread! Thank you Pam, I look for to learning more!

425 degrees. Bagel seasoning toasted in skillet. Sift all flower. Loaf pan. Spray it. Then spray after lining with paper. Combine dry ingredients. Then wet ingredients. Milk at room temperature. Blend into dough but don’t over mix. Pour in pan. Should be thick. Make as even as possible. Add bagel seasoning on top. 425 degree x 30 minutes. Turn oven down to 375 degrees. Add foil to cover the loaf. 30 more minutes to cook.
First time watching a video of yours instantly felt welcomed into your kitchen your sweet voice and wholesome energy is so captivating and I truly enjoyed watching you it’s truly amazing to feel the genuine warmth and lovely connection between you and your viewers I will definitely be watching more videos of you now that I’ve subscribed to your channel thank you Momma Pam!
Hi Pam. My name is Cathreen from South Africa. I was watching this recipe and I know and feel a connection between us. You must be a child of God. Ive had Yuppie flu about 30 yrs Ago and am battling still today With yeast infections and Candida syndrome. That means I am totally yeast intolerant. Have to make all my recipes yeast free and avoid a lot of sugar as well. Ive been making what we call vetkoek in South Africa for years using basically the same ingredients. I can never make a proper pizza base. Have to always make a yeast free version. The infection attacks my immune system straight away. I then get the worst setbacks ever Thank you for this recipe! GOD Bless!
Today I decided to double the batch to make a loaf of bread with one and made "rolls" using my silicone cupcake mold. Prayers to you, Pam, your loved ones, and everyone here to be safe, happy, and healthy ❤️
Pam THANK YOU for this amazing recipe. I made it the original way last week and then today I decided to make it with adding a cup of raisins and then I layered the batter with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar when I put it in the pan. I also added a little extra sugar to the batter mix. It’s turned out so good I’m so happy that you introduced this recipe that I never ever have to struggle again making bread that taste wonderful.
@@nahlabella4857 it turned out really good. I wish there was a place to post picture. I was really happy. It’s still dense, of course. But I had a piece as soon as it was done with some butter and then I had put some in the toaster the next day. It was so good. I’m also going to try and add Italian seasoning to my mix. But this is by far the easiest And it’s the best bread without doing all those steps of needing and rising and waiting.
@@TraceB1979 Well, thank you very much for replying and so quickly too! So, if I understand correctly, you added the raisins to the batter and then layered your cinnamon/sugar mixture in the pan? Sounds so good ~~~~!
Hi Pam! I just stumbled into your kitchen while you were about to bake al oaf of bread... You are a blessing to listen to and watch! I'm now cleaning out my pantry (very necessary) but I really love cooking...I'm getting my apron ready, once the cupboard is cleared out I'll come visit you and cook with you! Have a nice day, and I hope to see you soon! You sound so enthusiastic, you can probably make everyone addicted to cooking ❤❤❤
Thank You Mrs. Pam!!!! 😊 I’m gonna try your recipe today!!! Was looking for a quicker way to make delicious breads without breaking out the machine…. And you definitely delivered!!!! 🍞 ❤️ BTW: I love your soothing voice and culinary professionalism! We appreciate YOU greatly!!! Keep Going and God Bless You! ✝️💜
Hi Mrs Pam! I’m baking this bread right now. I just finished the 1/2 way, covered and going for the last 1/2. It is so beautiful already. I can not wait to spread some butter on it and give it a try. Thank you so much for an easy recipe. ❤
Pam! Ya got me! I swore I wasn't going to join another cooking video of stuff I wasn't going to cook. I cooked your no oil fry chicken and I'm pulling out the flour. You're precious. Love your positivity!
I just made your bread recipe and it is delicious!! It didn't bake with a flat top like yours, but this is my first loaf of bread ever!! I know with practice it will look more like regular sandwich bread. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. No longer need to buy store bought bread! Yaay!!
Remember, when you are toasting seeds or spices in a dry pan, when you get them done to your liking, get them straight out of the pan into a plate or some cool vessel. Don't let them sit in the hot pan, it's still plenty hot enough to burn your seeds in just moments.
Pam, new subscriber here! I joined your channel not only because of what's cooking in your kitchen, but how you present your video. You have a calming voice, and you are such a pleasant person. You made my day with your bread recipe! I am looking forward to trying it. Thank you for you!! ❤
You are a life savior! I have 2 books, and they are so involved,I have only made bread once! You, however, have given me my freedom back! Lol God bless you from Texas!❤🙏
OH MY DELICIOUSNESS!!! This looks to be so easy!! Yeast and I don’t get along!! I’ve thrown so many bread try’s away!!! Thanks so so much Pam for this!!❤️❤️❤️
I’m amazed you didn’t let the dough rise and it vane out good. My mom and g-mom used to place the dough in a bowl in which they placed a kitchen towel in and cover it up with another cotton kitchen towel then put it aside to let the dough rise like 30-45 minutes before making their bread. This way you do is so much simpler. Less time consuming. So appreciate you sharing this method to us
When you use yeast in your dough, that’s when you have to set it aside to let it rise. She don’t use yeast here which is why it’s such a great recipe. I made it and it’s really good
I adore how happy and positive you are when you speak! I want to be more like you Pam! I cannot wait to try your bread because my son hates the taste of yeast in freshly baked bread and I hope this will be a nice alternative! Thank you pam!
I made this bread yesterday for the first time and the only thing that could disappoint is not having enough butter on hand!😂 so easy and very delicious. Thank you!!🙏
Hi Miss Pam I'm a new subscriber, thank you so much for your easy bread recipe. I never made homemade bread and always wanted to, I even bought some yeast thinking I needed it . But you have taught me that you really don't, I am making this very soon I have all the ingredients even the loaf pan and everything bagel seasoning thank you so much for your recipe.❤
As a daughter of 4 to a baker we had to learn to bake bread and pastries this process seems fast and easy will try before Thanksgiving its my turn to make the dinner rolls!
I am so exited to have stumbled onto your video tonight! Your bread looks fantastic, and I've just had a quick peek at your other recipes, and now I'm just dying to try some of them. If it wasn't already 2am, I'd be tearing up the kitchen as we speak! Guess it'll have to wait for tomorrow.😂 Thanks for sharing all of the wonderful-looking recipes! ❤
Thank you so much...I have been so intimidated to make bread. I have been WANTING to make my own and NOT going to the supermarket---THIS IS IT!!!! You are such a blessing us all!
Hi Pam. My Mother sent me this video in hopes that I’ll find success in making bread with Spelt flour. A sandwich is all I need to eat at times; however, that bleached flour doesn’t treat me well. This looks simple enough and effective enough to try. Thanks a bunch for sharing. May all the Love you give be reflected.❤️🌹
I'm going to experiment with oat flour , just pop old fashioned oats that I use for my oatmeal in food processor . I've mixed it with wheat flour now I'm trying it on its own .
Ms. Pam, I want to thank you for this easy bread recipe! I went ahead and made it with gluten-free flour. The first time, it was a FAIL! 😢 But it wasn't due to the gluten-free flour. It was due to the oven temperature. It burned and it tasted bitter. That was last night. This morning I woke up determined to try it again. Instead of oil I used butter and instead of cow milk, I used evaporated milk and OH MY! SUCCESS AT LAST!!! ❤ So, for those who can't have gluten, YES you can ABSOLUTELY make this recipe with gluten-free flour. Thank you again Ms. Pam, now I can make my own bread! ❤
I love cutting into hot bread, but unless you are going to eat it all in one sitting, it's a bad idea. The bread is still cooking when it comes out of the oven. The steam inside is setting and hydrating the starches. If you release all the steam the starches don't set, and when you come back to the bread once it has cooled, the bread will be gummy.
425F is gas mark 7. 375F is gas mark 5. 4 cups flour is 480g/1lb. 1/4 cup vegetable oil is 60ml. 2 1/4 cups milk is 530ml. Looks good. I'll give it a try this week...
@@patb8559 go to King Arthur Flour website or Google them and add beer bread in the search. It’s the recipe I use. It’s with self rising flour. But you can use regular flour if you add baking powder. You just have to look that conversion up. I used to substitute part of the flour with whole wheat pancake mix, which is just like self rising flour. It’s so fast to make. Just use a beer you like and would drink. I think you can also use seltzer water but I’ve never done that.
Pam thank you so much for a sweet, calm, uplifting morning with your videos. You're making me feel less anxious about being in the kitchen. Thank you 🙏 ❤️
