The time she spent complaining to the receptionist wasted more time. In that time, the receptionist would have been able to go grab someone to help her.
I stopped replying to people when they talk like this at my job and just work through their complaining and wait til they stop talking to point out the fact that all they did was waste their breath. In this situation I would’ve just walked away and grabbed someone for her while she was talking
I know I tell people all the time the amount time spent bitching and😢 crying she could of been driving home some people have no common sense at all I would of made her wait another hour out of spite
Wait wait wait. Let me get this straight. She's "already late to the party" so instead of letting this person get someone else to help her which would take a couple of minutes, she wants to see the manager to whine to them which is going to take way longer. That's some Karen logic right there.
If somebody needs the help. They don’t care who helps him. Trust me whenever I’ve needed help. If God sent me a cockroach to help me. I would be fine. Help is help. I’m tired of seeing so many disgusting self entitled people acting as if they deserve more. Especially when they done nothing for their fellow man or contribute anything to this
Customers expected me, an older lady with an unhealed fracture in my elbow, to lift 60L compost bags to their car...even the men. Some people are just too full of themselves.
This happened to me. I was 7 months pregnant and a woman got mad at me bc I refused to lift her 50 lb bag of dog food She called the manager and told him he shouldn't have such useless employees.. I scanned her grapes and tomoatos 2x. While she lectured my manger on my uselessness She came back a week later and said it was so inconvient for her to drive back. My manager said they had to replace a sensor in the register, refunded her then brought me hot chocolate😂
"Why can't you help me?" It is not my job to help you put items in you car, ever. That is a safety risk and not a service that we provide at a little over minimum wage.
I used to work at KMart back in the day. (KMart doesn't exist any more, so that's how long it ago it was, lol) It was often a thing I did, helping people carry stuff out to their car and even load it in. Still, though, I never saw someone asking another employee with literally a broken finger to help them! Edit to add: I guess there is like 1 K-Mart left, I didn't even know that, lol
Cashier: Or better yet, leave the water here, here's your damn $10.00 back. Leave the store. (On loud speaker: Security and Manager to register 5 please!)
What kind of person is that one , that keep demanding help, from a particular perdon who happens to be injured , after being offered help by another person YIKES !!!
It's so true! When i have to tell sometime facts about their healthcare or social security and they don't want to hear it, they become this way! "You're HORRIBLE at your job!" I think I've heard that 3 times this year. My thought is always, "Ask someone else..., i no longer want to put any more energy into assisting you."
Customers aren't the problem, corporations are. We make them thousands of dollars a day and they pay us maybe a hundred a day if we're lucky. I want at least half of what I make the company, is that really to much to ask for? Every quarter, record profits, yet when it's time for a raise, "they just don't have it"
Yes it is too much to ask. Imagine if all employees asked for that. A half is a whole divided in 2. If you asked for half, who gets the other portion? The company or your coworkers? More than likely the electric company. As workers we don't have to worry about things the business needs to survive, but the business does. If you are this greedy, start your own business and you will find out how asking for half is ridiculous.
What does your corporate payscale have to do this meme? It is about a rude, entitled customer demanding an injured employee to perform a task which is not even ger job duty.
Urrgh! I ran into people like that woman. They're so insistent that things go the way they're used to and expect them that way they refuse to understand your inability to assist them directly (They're deaf to any explanations).
Which is why I'm super polite & thankful to anyone i deal with who has to put up with the public (store personnel, public transportation drivers, restaurant staff, doormen, etc). Sooooo easy to not be an a*hole.
Karen's are ALWAYS in the biggest hurry and you absolutely must drop everything you're doing to help them but always seem to have time to wait for a manager. Don't be nice to karens people....
I thought you were in a hurry. I sure as hell hope manager takes her sweet time coming to the put you back on your unhappy and pathetic way. Also I and my coworkers am in no way obligated to help you put your purchase items in your car!
I can’t even explain how many times in a call center I have told someone a new feature requires 1 extra click. Then they spend 20 minutes telling me they don’t have time to learn new things or click the extra button.
I have in this case (I couldn't leave my position at the register lol) just called the person to come help and when I was done doing that smiled brightly and said "I'm sorry, I didn't catch what you were saying...oh look, (person) is here to help you"
@MatrixDownload5150 I would think that would fall under a serious safety issue because if you go into premature labor, you AND the baby are at high risk! Is this even legal? Not sure where you are of course, but I'd look into it if I were you.
I had a neck brace following an accident and had management expect me to aid in a 2 man lift because the nurse on duty was doing reports, while eating twinkies... true story.
I don’t know how real this is. A normal human customer would be fine and not insist somebody with a broken finger or assist someone who can’t leave their reception desk and then complain
They do it ALL THE TIME. I've had EMTs peeling me off the floor to put on the gurney (multiple fractures), customer calls over the counter: Can I get some help here!!!!! ARE YOU OPEN!!!! I was working alone.
No customer would act like that… the cashier should just ignore her while she’s calling the worker to come to the front to help. ..just stopped talking to her and call for the extra worker.
This is creepy. As a woman, if someone pressed me this hard to be the one to load their heavy items into their trunk, I’d probably say “security is on their way to assist you! Have a nice day!” Stay safe out there, folks.
First of all, if the woman was that injured she should not be there working. Blaming your lack of respect and unwillingness to help on your injured finger is highly unprofessional and borderline insubordination. The customer is right to complain otherwise this would go undisciplined.
Hey I got a manager who did the complete opposite to me when I was trying to return a faulty product. She kept asking me where the box was and I told her 3 times that my hubby had thrown it out but I had the receipt for it. She didn't listen to a word I said so I asked for a manager. She told me she was the manager then proceeded to ask me for the box, which I did not have or need because I had the receipt. My husband said, "she's already told you 3 times" and she told him to mind his own business. She also told me I had started off with a bad attitude. I asked her to stop but she kept on telling me I had a bad attitude. I've never had such bad returns service before. Got my money back and won't buy from there ever again. Managers huh?
Wow. Kudos to your husband that he kept his cool under that disrespect- that is a man in control of himself.😮 Edit: And you as well. I don't know how people can take some of the abuse I read about in these comment sections.
Push the cart you fool😂😂😂. I mean seriously how did you get around the store or at least from the aisle with the water to the complaint center... Err register
She would have had two options.... Wait for me to go find my manager, of which I would take my sweet little time or I can find someone to help with the water...
In the first place she is a receptist not a porter and who does that person think they are, they asked got told no for medical reasons. Betthey can't take not being obayed
I was waiting tables LITERALLY nine months preggo (worked until two days before my son was born). This Karen got mad at me for not picking up her kids crayons and handing them back to them! Like ma'am! I will not be able to get back up! Plus the fact that she had three kids?! You've been pregnant before ma'am, why are you not understanding why I'm not picking up your kids crayons?
Sounds like she’s a cover for something sinister… LADIES, NEVER go to the parking lot to help someone even if it’s a little old lady. Let a big burly guy help them.
I had something similar to this when I was a sales assistant I was 7months pregnant an it was very obvious I was huge an a customer wanted a pair of shoes on the top shelf so I told her I'd get another sales assistant to get them for her cause I wasn't allowed to use the ladders an then she proceeded to go mad even after I pointed out I was pregnant an wasn't allowed to use ladders an by the time she'd finished her rant someone could've been an got them for her an even paid for them 😂😂
Depending on the weight of the articles, it would be better to get a man to do that. There are different lifting regulations (law) for men and women. If you are on light duties due to an injury or have an incapacity or disability, the customer is actually breaking the law.
Would this apply to pregnant women as well? Someone earlier was commenting that they were 7 months along and management was ordering them to lift heavy pallets. Is that legal???
@@mitzibaker9598- I have no idea as the laws vary from country to country and State to State. I never looked into it. There are moves to change the laws so that both males and females have the same weight rules in order to avoid discrimination. This means that the weight limits will have to be lowered to avoid work place injury. As for pregnancy, I can not comment. In some countries/ States it was illegal for women to work for a set number of weeks after birthing.
