Katharine and I came up with this song years ago as a parody of the punk-rock bands of the 2000s, like Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, and Yellowcard. The genre has lots of cliches that make it fun to parody (the walkie-talkie voice, the quiet bridge before the last chorus, etc.), but I still find these songs fun to listen to even having long outgrown my middle-school angst. I hope you enjoy the song and the 90s-kid-using-Windows-Movie-Maker style lyric video.
