Bobon looked grumpy from the start.

I see a lot of "poor Gin" here, and no he didn't earn an attack today. But there is plenty of footage where he does the unprovoked attacking. This sort of behavior seems fairly typical of most male chimps. He and Max have certainly caused more than their fair share of tense moments. Decky is, of course, the exception, but Decky had a very different upbringing than his fellow Tama chimps. That being said, I hope nobody was hurt in the scuffle. And I'm looking forward to seeing how Bon moves forward without his mother there. Towards the end, she started a lot of drama between these two males and I think they might get along well without her there. We'll see.

Based on what I could see, it seemed like the only female to directly be on Gin’s side was Miru… maybe because her mom adopted him? I’ve never liked how females will overboard when siding w the alpha, it’s out of self preservation, but still. I’d love to see a world where Peach kept and raised Gin. Seeing how she was nearly an alpha herself, I believe Gin would currently be alpha. -Also, it was crazy to see Ibuki run straight into the fight all alone, I wonder what made him do that.

So it wasn't Cherry this time! She still tried to get hers though. Watch her at 1.45 slide down the wire with one hand. Absolutely amazing!

I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt and that everyone made up. Sadly, this is normal behavior. Male chimps spend much of their adult lives fighting for social position. Just like humans 😕

Why has Cherry not yet been moved to Hamamatsu with Chiko and Jun. I thought it was supposed to happen mid November?

PB hated to see this can't imagine the fear that went through you, I'm sorry you witnessed it. I probably won't watch the actual video because I hate it when they do serious fighting ( not just picking at each other ) this was serious fighting. I'm sure Cherry & Berry helped escalate, but she's always the 1st to apologize and the videos of Bonbon grooming his half brother for his apologies is showing his true nature, he just has to make sure everyone knows he's boss. He fought his way to the top from the ground, I'm sure he remembers everyone trying to chase him down for Kenta. I love Bonbon and pray he doesn't get more violent like I have seen in other zoo's. Gin will be ok, that's what matters.

All the big fights seem to start over lettuce LOL. Poor Gin! He wasn't doing anything.

In Tama Zoo there are three Chimps that I don't like they are very aggressive Bonbon Max and Cherry

Poor Gin. I have a solution for this ongoing Bonbon problem when female are in estrus. He has to go. Sounds harsh but look at the situation this way: You would have two groups. One group with leader Max and Fubuki and the female who are not in estrus. The other group with leader Gin and all the female who are in estrus. Sir Decky could join both groups. Perfect solution in my opinion.

@Polar Bear, thank you for posting this much discussed and anticipated footage …. Wow it escalated quickly. Was bonbon upset because Gin had lettuce before him? Was it because Gin greeted and not him? Was it because Gin greeted Peko and he got jealous? Or combination of all 3 and gin got the bonbon 3 strikes and your getting it rule? Felt like ages that bonbon and gin went into the observation area alone, and then everyone piled in… was expecting far worse injuries etc. Not sure how it ended up Peko and Gin coming out tangled in a ball of fluff and teeth though. I couldn’t even make out bonbon in the blur of fluffy shapes, or who chased after him. Saw cherry being pretty quick to go up the tower and submit to gin though, gin looking angry at bonbon from the tower and bonbon doing some pretty impressive wrist flicks to throw himself into the are on displays. I can see why you were so scared he was so close to the moat - he must have only been a few foot lengths from the edge at one point. It could have easily have ended in someone going in… thankfully no one did. There was a fair amount of fighting between the females after the event, with a few telling off Peko, and others and shouting between each other. Gin seamed to be reluctant to let anyone get near at first. I was really surprised that cherry was one of the first to get to him and submit. I’ve watched it over and over… was just too fast… and i wish there was a camera in the observation area that had caught it to see where gin went - did he fight bonbon off?, did others get in between them both quickly? If you hadnt have told me about the event a few months ago on seeing how bonbon went after gin and both went into the observation area and then everyone coming in i would have expected far more injuries - especially on Gin and bonbon.

A big argument and fight over a head of lettuce the end of the world😆😆😆😆
