When Henry married Catherine he was ill and overweight and seemed to want companionship rather than someone who could provide another heir. Katherine was at first engaged to Jane Seymour’s brother Thomas but Henry took her for his own and as stated she couldn’t really say no to him and in those times she needed a secure position to survive. So she gave up Thomas to marry Henry and when he died 4 years later she was able to marry Thomas. In the show Catherine really doesn’t want to be part of the competition so she sings this song to show the other Queens that they are more than just Henry’s wives.

When she sings about disappearing, she's alluding to the sad fact that married to Henry, she'll only ever be remembered as Henry's sixth wife. Not for her own achievements. But without Henry, history wouldn't remember her at all. She's in history but only as a small part in his story.
