This video is so accurate. I feel the same way about the brown sugar babe overpriced body oil. Although they smell like the fragrance, but there’s a synthetic smell to it, or the carrier oil she’s using has a smell that’s throwing off the fragrance. It’s definitely overpriced for no reason.
I felt the same way… I ordered 4 sample sizes and I felt like they all smelled the same and smelled like something I could have gotten at the beauty supply store.
I love these balanced reviews. I have a couple brands/fragrances that I know smell so juvenile and lacking nuance yet when I see reviews everyone is just like “omg so good”. I just got a package today and out of the 4 fragrance products I smelled, I like one (kinda). I always buy small sizes to sniff and play with so lucky in that regard. I guess that’s the experience of being a fragrance lover.
I totally agree with you on both lip balms.. carmax for the win. Mac turquatic isn’t discontinued, it’s still sold at Macys Mac counter and online . However, it’s an overprice BBW spray in my opinion. I spray the bathroom, my sheets and the couch pillows with that mess just to get rid of it and it still hasn’t emptied fast so it sits until I remember it. I love fresh summery scents but I guess my nose is too mature.

I agree with them all, but MAC Turquatic 😂😂😂 I don't get the hype on Light Blue, and I loooove my Turquatic, the performance is fantastic, and sillage the whole day for an aquatic and light perfume, which is rare. I love this series ❤️ 🎉🎉

Yeah one mall near me has a Mac store and they sell it. After hearing all the hype I ran up there to smell a tester and it was okay but I wasn’t blown away. So glad I didn’t blind buy it.
Talk that talk....its rare I comment but you are speaking facts (IMO) 1. Those expensive lip products made my lips drier. I prefer hair store lip products 😅 2. Nishane 100 SW is a tone down version of Black Opium 3. All the yara fragrances are priced appropriately but not worth the hype. I'm living this series.
Yeah I haven't seen anything with these new lip products that's any different than what you can get from anything else. I haven't given up on HSW but it was certainly disappointed. I love my Yara and Yara Tous, but they are getting a lot of hype right now!
Funny enough… I wore Mac Turquatic yesterday!!! It was just an easy lazy reach. It’s been 200 degrees and that was a simple pick. Also.. I only bought it in the last year.. from Macy’s online. So it’s still out there. I even bought the one in the pink bottle. I don’t remember the hype. Lol but it’s cute🤷🏽♀️

Yes, its a lip mask. Different from a lip balm. Carmex isn't good for your lips. Aquaphor lip treatment is good. Heck, get the jar and have multiple uses.
I'm with you on the car air fresheners, lol they don't work at all. I only smell it when I first tilt it. other Than that, its a waste of $$ in my opinion lol
I rock with you on half of these but uhh, laneige lip mask is untouchable for meee. Nothing else melts my crustification instantly like it. It is for nighttime use though. I also love the Jason Wu lip mask at target. I use it after brushing my teeth at night and it keeps my lips alive through the winter. I buy 5 at a time bc I go through them like that. Jason Wu beats Laneige for sure. Nishane Fan Your Flames is my favorite! Try that one out, it's giving niche for sure!
@Vania MicKelle I do think that majority of the things influencers mention are over hyped. No longer go buy these but rather sample before to see if it's worth the buy. On another note, with MAC Turquatic, I remember when I first smelled back many years ago it was a great freshie fragrance, nothing like D&G Light Blue. It may no longer be available at Sephora but MAC sells it online. However when reading many reviews on the site there has been mention that it is notthe same perfimume it once was. Somehow the formulation has changed and also been watered down. I do agree that it is not the same it once was. So sad because I loved that perfume.. for that reason that is probably why you are not feeling it.
The Bath and Body Works lip mask is infinitely better than Laneige! I was so mad about that expensive lil’ pot. It had me waking up with some dry lips with consistent use. Vaseline will also be my forever jam for my soup coolers.
And Girl!!! Hundred Silent Ways was silent for me when I got it too!!! I love the smell don’t get me wrong, but I honestly barely smell it on myself. Ive never gotten any compliments from it like everyone claims. I’ve gotten more compliments from the Kylie Jenner perfume and it’s also one of those soft musky scents!!! 🤦🏻♀️😓😂
I definitely decluttered my MAC turquatic. It gave me d & g light blue but not as strong mixed with aqua di gioia I was salty 😂 I like quissa but it gave me basically yara I prefer her over it. The same ones that said yara was giving strawberry milkshake, they the ones calling quissa pink the pink drink. I guarantee. 😂
I got a rollerball of turquatic and was soooo underwhelmed it was like a watered down version of my Clean Rain which I love when I want an aquatic I immediately sold it 😂

Vania: I'm a vanilla addict, but you told the whole truth about the Kuumba Vanilla Bean oil! 😂 It's soooo regular and basic. I'm glad I only purchased the roll on. I have several other vanilla oils that are much better in smell and projection.
I brought the roll on and was so upset I wrote a bad review on amazon and didn’t touch it for 2 months. Now, I have heard the bigger bottle oil is not the same as the roll on. After 2 months I did wear it and I do get the vanilla, but it doesn’t need to be hyped up tho. The vanilla is there, but I don’t think I would repurchase again. I kind of feel that way about the vanilla Nemat oil. I’m still searching for the perfect vanilla oil
@@vaniamickelle yes! It is really nice. And mine lasts all day! It is more of a fresh and powdery vanilla. Imagine the powdered sugar off of marshmallows with a little more vanilla. But less sweet. I use it as a base scent and it makes me feel fresh all day.
The Laneige lip balm I thought was ok, but I got tired of it QUICK! Last year I got the Mara Sea Silk lip balm for Christmas and I like it. It's thicker than Laneige. But overall, I'd say coco butter Vaseline is the best and budget friendly ❤
I use Colourpop overnight lip mask and I love it. I do only use mine at night and I don’t wear gloss or chapstick during the day. I forget to put it on so the mask has been a part of my night time routine. I buy it when it’s on sale for a few dollars.

Period I don’t play about my carmex it’s my go to . And I got mine from dollar tree for $1.25 . I love the wild cherry scent . It works better than a lot of lip gloss and balms I paid way more for . 13:07
I tried to purchase that Al Sultan perfume oil based on the same TikTok. Not paying attention to what I ordered, my silly self received a tiny EMPTY container 😑. The Brown Sugar Babe nourishing oils, I purchased 4 different 1 oz oils and they all smelled alike.
I don't understand the hype either specifically for al Hareem Sultan. I think its all for commission, sponsorship, freebies at the end of the day. Its made it hard to trust any influencer at this point. Ive bought a few that I now regret!!!
I saw two perfume oils by Swis Arabian, highly recommended on tik toc. I didn't pull the plug because I was looking for something in particular. They were Layla something and both cost $16.99.

I agree with you on half of these products😂 however “unpopular opinion” hear me out now…Carmex is drying you out🙈 Yes I used to be a carmex stan and couldn’t understand why I was always dry and chapped until I seen a dermatologist talking about it saying there is a ingredient in there that’s not good for your lips. So after detoxing from carmex I started using Summer Fridays lip balm and my lips have never been more moisturized in my entire life. So food for thought🥰
If anyone cones across any sand&fog perfume oils at Marshalls or tj maxx pick them up!! They are better than anything u will find there as far as perfumes go. Better then alot of the cheapies. They are affordable and by far the longest lasting scents u can get. They amp up perfumes longevity as we all know perfume oils can do. Vanilla musk us a dupe for Nest Madagascar vanilla. And the pistachio is a dupe for kayali yum gelato. Etc. As of now they are stocked up now. I bought backups they are so good!! Save your time and money and dont pass em up!!
Baybeeee I got a 3ml decant of A Hundred Silent Ways and I was mad I didn’t get the 1ml! I was thinking this can’t be what everybody is hyping up…it’s a pretty fragrance but definitely not worth the level of hype and the price.
Them Laneige ones dry my lips out. I started using Lanolips last year and have never looked back on any other lip balm. I sleep with Lanolips on and my lips are soft and supple in the morning. Carmex umm no ma’am.
The way you feel about that vanilla bean oil is the same way I feel about the nemat vanilla musk oil. I get nothing and I love vanilla. The influencers be lying.

I've heard the Black Opium comparisons but I don't get it. I only smelled black opium in the store and I left it there because I didn't like it. I actually like HSW. I haven't given up on her yet, I was just underwhelmed.
I got the Naturium Glow Getter body wash and body cream and they are great products but the smell is ...ok, I keep hearing people say it smells so amazing and pretty. It smells kinda like crayons and chemicals to me but I love the texture of the body wash and body cream and the smell isn't overpowering enough for me not to use it but it would be really nice if they came out with the same line but unscented lol
I haven’t tried their body washes just yet. I have a sample-sized face wash from them from Target that is nice but I probably won’t buy a full size. I love that more product lines are coming out with sample sizes so we frugal-ish folks don’t have to commit.
For me, yall was lying about Amber Oud Gold Edition. It is so terrible! I bought it expecting to have my socks knocked off. Maaan, socks remained on. In fact, quiet as kept, its a scrubber. Don't @ me, @ your student loan officer. I would sell it if I could.
I enjoy HSW but yeah it's kind of plain. But I really like Qissa! I get strawberry shake -- never had starbucks pink. Qissa lasts longer than Yara but they smell similar to me. MY DISAPPOINTMENTS are: Ansaam Gold -- YUCK and I love Oriana/LDBS and Badee Sublime -- love Kayali EJA. These are NOT dupes.
I was so mad about the vanilla bean oil I smelled nothing at first, after a week or so I can smell it but I won’t be replacing it once its gone very subtle🙄
