@@pohelnaxyi8i mean yeah its gonna be creepy, but in a cheap way. its like "if you're gonna play a loud sound in my face, of course im gonna jump as a reflex, doesnt make it scary though." concept is cool, just needs subtly but doesnt really fit in minecraft though
I love how on the second mosnter moment when player climbed the ladder and he was like trembling. It is that feeling like when you run from baby zombie in your house and that door not open normally and not close
@@Spacebuggyou mean the old trend known as nextbots? Sanic was cool even when people kept reusing it with new images, but then the trend made it more weird than anything.
@@Megajaybreaker4 There are probably nextbots with one of those images, but it's probably not what they're talking about. If a flat image is looking straight forward our eyes perceive it as looking at us (some kinda depth perception illusion). Like if you look at the Mona Lisa and change the angle of your phone it will seem like she is watching you.
you only do this when you're not about to die. When i'm in a safe space i micromanage but if im the middle of dying in a zonbie horde i spam the biggest foodstuffs
Minecraft is perfect for horror... imagine if in addition to the normal and hardcore mode there was also a "nightmare" mode with things like that to scare the player, it would definitely be a horror game easily.
Perhaps it is. Although so far the majority of the popular horror mods like "From the Fog" are, well, made rather poorly. Not in that the monsters are designed badly, or that the code is a mess or anything of that sort really, they are made poorly in that they are simply not scary. Ooooo, a guy with white eyes constantly keeps appearing and disappearing near me while I am mining obsidian so scary. Ooooo, some lanky transparent guy appears right in front of me and does nothing then appears in the night screams and kills me so scary. Ooooo, some black humanoid chases me in a very goofy manner while goofy music is playing in the background so scary.
@@gunsevenwhillans420yeah, i dont want 'horror', i want 'terror'. I wanna feel like i was in subnautica in the void and i hear a distant screech or without any warning, something attacks me.
Yeah terror is better imo, like an apparent and massive threat, known by everyone around you, like Cloverfield 2008 I would consider to be a "terror" movie, as opposed to just paranoia.@@SCP-173peanut
... So it's a mob that can spawn in anywhere, runs at you with a "spooky" (janky) model, makes lots of really loud noises, and (likely) can kill you in one hit. What the hell happened to subtlety?
I don't get it either. If it wasn't for the loud-ass noises, this wouldn't be scary at all. Seems like nearly every popular horror mod is basically just "spindly man screams, chases, and one-shots you". And I guarantee they're only popular because of obnoxious let's-play RU-vidrs. I know I'm one to talk, as one of my favorite mods is From the Fog, but at least that has an interesting premise and some diversity in what it does. And you can still actually play the game with it active instead of being repeatedly yote out of life by the terrifying scrimblo dweller man or whatever.
@@MarcyTheKindaCoolWizard Nobody cares. It's all a cheap jumpscare simulator, and the modding community is oversaturated by it. You can enjoy it if you want. Nobody's stopping you. It's just objectively low effort and low quality, just like your spelling.
@nightperson1012 I wpuldn't say it's low effort, i cant code for shit ib Minecraft, or at all, i am failry sure these dwellers arent just carbon copies of each other, they do have their own mechanics as far as i can tell And again, saying nobody cares doesnt.. matter? Because the same i could say about you and we's get nowhere Some people do find "cheap' just as scary, not everyobe is as desentitzed to spooky stuff as you think
Why did i imagine the player saying when he first heard the sound "i dont like this game no more-" in a confused and panicked tone.. Then when he sees it, i imagine him yelling "I DONT LIKE THIS GAME NO MORE 😭😭" In a terrified way
So you learned how to protect a ladder from horror mobs who are usually wider than one block, but didn't learn how to cover your mine entrance so you don't get ambushed and cornered while getting to the surface?
Kinda wish someone made a survival horror open world game around stalker type monsters roaming at night. You left the safety of outpost at first light in search of supplies. After traveling a few klicks west on your bicycle, you reach a small abandoned town. You loot the town and found plenty supply. Your mind were so occupied on looting you lose track of time. When you finished its almost 6pm. You started to curse yourself for not being more aware but then again you found enough supply to last you a week at least. "I cant make it back, traveling at night is not an option. No choice but to stay overnight, damn". You smeared dirt on yourself to mask your body smell. You hold up in an attic, boarded up the the windows and shut the foldable attic ladder as tight as you can and proceed to placed a heavy wardrobe on it. You ate some food and lay down in the attic corner with rifle at hand. As night fall you heard terrible screams and deep growling few house away... If you read all that nonsense, thanks i guess. Excuse my bad english.
Since some people liked it, i will continue. The monsters eerie wails instantly remove the drowsiness you are feeling. The same terror inducing noise that haunt you and everyone back at outpost every night. As the screams draw closer you become more anxious. Distorted human screams begging for help mix with wails of animal in distress. You slowly make your way to the boarded window with a small opening you intentionally left to take a peak outside. The moonlight is bright enough to see. As you peak through the barricade from the pitch black attic youre in, you see a grotesque figure resembling a sheep with it abdomen wide open, guts dangling, twitching uncontrollably while walking with its hind legs. Its front legs stretch to such an impossible degree. Its just down the street infront of the house youre in. "Fck, theres a silent one too" in whisper. You try not to look at it for too long as doing so can cause visual & auditory hallucinations and headache according to the info provided by the military spoken over the outpost's radio. You slowly go back to your corner with deep fright. The monster sense the fear in you. It started to quietly pace around the house looking for you. You heard the front door creak below you. You can hear its body jerking rapidly. You hold your breath while aiming your rifle at the ladder hatch. "My final stand, the end of my time on this god forsaken world" in your heart. Suddenly you hear the other monsters start screaming even louder then immediatly the monster below you dash out of the house. You feel relieve. You quickly peak out the window and see 4 monsters chasing something. You continue to be dead quiet till morning. The monsters are gone. You remove the barricade and head outside. You check the supplies, its safe and sound. You went to the direction the monsters were running to and found a carcass. A wolf, you examine the carcass. 1 of its hind and front legs are missing, pieces of guts and organ everywhere, deep laceration along its entire body, the jaw seems to be forcefully pulled away. More importantly, you cant find its heart anywhere. "Poor thing met a brutal end... its better this way, you wont turn into those abomination". Then you inspect the monsters tracks."4 total tracks, 3 of them are unrecognisable tracks but 1 of them is surely a sheep. Fck me, the 4th one is human, no doubt". You writing a short note, "2 unknown, 1 sheep, 1 human". You start to ponder how a monster that comes from an animal can mimic a human voice when you recall the screams outside the outpost wall a couple days ago. "Perhaps mimicking their victim... cruel little devils". You return to your bicycle and start heading home, "I cant carry many goods using this old bicycle, I need to borrow Bill's truck... **checks pants** need a new underwear too". The end. For now Edit: I will continue but i need to finalise the monster biology first
@@yes-fd3iv Yes like that but a lot scarier. Stalk player around building/corner/through glass/inside corpse, bone chilling screams, mimic human cries, gruesome transformation, Complex AI like Alien: Isolation and supernatural elements like induce madness in players when looked at that can change the world around you like in Desolate. So scary it can make a grown man wet themselves.
Scarrier than the monster would be all that noise waking up my grandparents in the other room. Have my granny sleep run up to me and claw my face up thinking Im a burglar. True terror.
I honestly miss the time where i can say "never play Minecraft in Ohio" and it was funny because it made no fucking sense but it also does simotaniously
if I ever heard that noise from the outside of the mines,I wouldn't even dare to go outside until my pickaxe breaks,I would just hide my self in with cobblestone
I feel like this is how Minecraft horror videos should be. Or even horror mods. Not clue what the monster is, it’s dead silent, there’s a few wtf was that moments, then it shows up and you see what’s been stalking you, until… silence once again.
