That's exactly what I thought as well, he might as well have not even eaten any calories for the 7 days he ate under 500 because he kept spiking his insulin which ended the fast technically each day. He would've benefited a lot more had he just water fasted for 7 days instead. But he still burned around 20K calories by just existing and not eating. So the 10K~ ish calories he had eaten is like max 1KG of bodyweight and that's not really anything.
@@letoatreides5165I would say starting with 16000 because you will burn off all the calories as the days go by but if you start with 1 calorie you will be way more tired for much longer.
@letoatreides5165 I'm no health expert but I'd assume that building up to it is better. Going 16k out of nowhere is a huge jump, plus your body will get used to the big intake fast and make the later days agonizing
As someone who had an ed I can tell exactly how bad it feels living with almost no food and how frustrating it is, when you cried made it super real and natural. Keep up the good work man💓
@@kickenzer1057 you cant just eat more food when you have an eating disorder. I mean physically yes you are able to, but mentally you can't because it hurts. For example, you are physically capable of putting your hand on a burning hot stove. Your muscles CAN move that way, but your brain stops you because your brain perceives the burning hot stove as a threat. For people with eating disorders, eating too much is perceived as a threat in their brain so they mentally can't do it, that's why its called a disorder. I used to not understand EDs either until I learned more about them so hope this helps :)
@@thejackprojectmusic well wouldn't going on a site and calculating how many calories you need and then measure them when you eat fix that mental part of the brain prohibiting you from eating because you teach the brain that that is how much you actually need to maintain your weight?
@@kickenzer1057 logically speaking that would be a good way to manage an eating disorder, but it’s hard to deal with an illogical disorder in a logical manner. An eating disorder can be a rabbit hole and you can go deeper and deeper into it, wanting to lose more and more weight and the disorder will never be happy with it. Calorie tracking may make the disorder worse for some people since they will have the urge to eat less and less and track their very few calories closely. I’ve seen people use calorie trackers to eat only 200 calories a day for months or even years. They know logically speaking that 200 calories is too little, and people with eating disorders oftentimes discourage others to eat so little. But the disorder side of the brain takes over and convinces them to eat so little. Treating an eating disorder requires treating the mental part of it, such as having a better relationship with your body (as in stopping the desire to be bone skinny) and having a better relationship with food, oftentimes with the help of some sort of therapist or psychologist. Since an eating disorder is a mental disorder, treating it requires going a psychology route, not just eating more. (Information I learned from my psychology course)
Ngl, watching this video, I thought you would have so many more subscribers because this production quality is so good! Great video, keep up the good work!
Honestly, you doing this while also having a family to keep up with and be around who arent doing thr challenge, and also just having to spend energy doing family things, makes this so much more of an accomplishment.
the first few days in this video reminds me of the times where i would starve myself for over a week so many times because of an ED and it made me so glad that im over that habit , youre strong man! you did great
Wow I calculated your metabolic rate through the challenge and was shocked to find that you were very unlikely to cheat, unless you simply dehydrated when you weighed yourself. Dedication ngl.
small content creator are usally the one who always reply to their comment and are the most underrated one glad i found out about your channel i will be watching more of your content from now one
This video got way too little attention for the level of dedication, I don't comment often, but I wanna boost the algorithm to make your hard work pay off a little more, greetings from Germany :)
The funny thing, the challenge would be easier if you ate 0 calories for the first 8-9 days, body adapts well to no food, but getting very little food it can't handle too well
Funny part is you ingested on average 2340 calories, which is pretty normal. If you stopped at day 10, you'd have an average of 51 calories. Goes to show how overeating can ruin the effects of an incredibly hard diet.
ik everyones said this- but i was surprised too when i saw how many subscribers u had. the background music, the cutoffs, the way u talk, u exude youtuber energyyy soooooooo well. hope to see you grow to the level u wish too buddy.
Refeeding after restricting calories is the best feeling ever! Props to you for making it through this insane challenge, you have a lot of self discipline.
bro did 2 videos in one. He didn't eat for a week and then consumed 16K calories. Crazy video bro also only 2K subs which is crazy give this man some love and subscribe
Didn’t even realise you were a small RU-vidr I thought you would have atleast 100k subs cause the quality and production of the content is amazing keep up the good work brother
Massive respect to you, not only for doing the challenge but gor the fact your still replying to comments months later. Love your content man keep going
Dang man, this challenge seems ultra brutal! Way more difficult than just plain fasting because the small amounts of calories keep your digestive system just baaaaarely running, so you're probably insanely hungry the whole time. And then when you can finally indulge, your stomach has shrunken to the size of a pea and it was probably super uncomfortable to eat so much. Props for suffering this much to make an interesting video! Got a subscriber out of me!
It truly was such an interesting idea to me!! I came up with it about 6 months before filming, but I was just scared to actually do it haha. I want to do a standalone calorie day because it's true, my stomach had shrunk and I was just loading it up. Thanks for the support!
The fact that he has reacted to almost every comment so far says a lot about him as well. Keep up the good work man. Truly entertaining and inspiring🙏💪
Fun fact. If you eat below 500 kcal your body is in a fasting state. Also, one shouldn't fast more than 5 days as by day 7, if not repleniched, the body is starting to run out of vitamins. Also, one should always make sure to get enough electrolytes when fasting, as the body excretes a lot during a fast. Never break a fast (eating above 500 kcal) with a very carb rich meal, do it with protein. When you break a fast with a bunch of carbs, the extreme amounts will not only dehydrate you, but it will pull a lot of eletrolytes out of the cells, which can lead to refeeding syndrome and potentially death through acute magnesium deficiency, which will make muscles (such as the heart) not being able to contract. Goes without saying, that this type of stuff needs to be done carefully and only if you are fully aware of "how" to do it, the right way that is.
When someones says: food doesn't make happy. Send them this video. Look how his mental health progressed over the course of the video. (not saying you should eat 16k calories every day)
The facg that he only had about 100 subs at the time of kf posting this is crazy! The editing, style, and thumbnail made me think you had about 300k or something! Mad respect man!
wheb I saw the sub count I gen thought it had to be a glitch--you are so underated! you seem so authentic and defo deserve more love and success! subbed and excited to see more content from this channel :)
3300 cal maintenance for a day, over 15 days is 49,500 cal. Over this challenge he consumed about 32,000cal which is about 2,133cal per day. Resulting in a net daily cal deficit of 1,167cal or about 5lbs loss over the course of those 15 days when it balances out. Personally I think it'd be easier to just be in a 500-1000 cal deficit over the time period and prioritize protein to get the same weight lost, much better on the digestion and hormones. But congrats on the challenge, this was extremely difficult I'm sure and you deserve far more subs than you have!! But you've gained at least one more, definitely subbed!
